In the first year, babies go through an amazing growth spurt. Babies triple their birth weight. Relative to the size babies need more energy, vitamins, and mineral than the adults. Make sure that the food you feed to the baby is nutritious which supports healthy growth and proper development in babies.
Many experts say that breast milk is the best source of nutrition for babies during the first 6 months. In the second half of the growth (6-12) months, babies will gain weight around 2-4 ounces per week. Focus on the following vitamins and minerals for the baby's healthy growth.
Iron: it helps in brain development and also builds blood cells. Greens like spinach, beet, and veggies like sweet potato, beans, and squash, fruits like apple, banana, and pomegranates are rich sources of iron.
Calcium:- helps to build strong bones. Fruits like apricots, berries, oranges, papaya, and vegetables broccoli, avocados contain calcium which is essential for growing babies.
Vitamin A, C, D: these vitamins are needed for strengthening the immune system, builds bones & muscles, and protects against infections. Dark green leafy vegetables like spinach, collards, kale, avocado, broccoli, carrots, sweet potato Fruits like apple, mango, peaches, papaya, berries are to be added in babies diet to get proper vitamin supplies are rich in vitamins.
 
Babies need all the essential nutrition which they need at early stage like the vitamins and minerals. Which they can get from fruits or vegetables like apples, mangoes, bananas, pears, sweet potato , spinach. Give purees made up of fruits and vegetables which will help babies in growth and development.
