Parents are most concerned about the babies physical and mental well being. Healthy eating habits and a nutritional diet are essential for proper growth and development in babies. “Its time to pick a bone with your bones”. You cannot afford to miss out on their bone health. Strong and healthy bone is a very important part of your child's physical health.
During childhood, their bones grow bigger and stronger so it is important to take proper care. The bone density develops rapidly during the 5-12 months and stops once the baby is one year old. Weak bones increase the risk of bone injuries in growing babies as their bones are very fragile. Breastmilk is rich in all nutrients, so it is exclusively recommended to feed your babies until they one year old.
Calcium, Vitamin D, K, and magnesium are the essential nutrients that are needed for healthy bone growth. These nutrients are commonly found in almost all fruits and vegetables. It's better to feed with these vegetables and fruits to the babies either in a puree form or thinly sliced according to the baby's age. You can expose your baby to sunlight as it is the natural source of vitamin D.
6-11 months babies need 260mg of calcium and 400 IU of vitamin D per day. Fruits like orange, papaya, berry, pineapples and beans, broccoli, mushroom, and spinach are rich in calcium and vitamins.
 
Babies need vitamins, minerals, calcium in a right quantity, give purees made up of fruits like apple, banana, mango, pear, and vegetables purees made up of spinach, sweet potato, tomato, pumpkin, tomato, green peas, beetroot it will help in the growth of your baby, also give porridges made up of ragi. Give fruits and vegetables purees as it can help in providing all the essential vitamins and minerals to your baby.
 
Its very important that babies get all the essential nutrition which they need at early stage like the vitamins and minerals. Which they can get from fruits or vegetables like apples, mangoes, bananas, pears, sweet potato , spinach. ragi can also be given as that can provide for iron and protein which baby needs, protein help in muscle growth . ragi also keeps the baby full for a longer time.
 
Bone development is essential in the babies. Dairy foods such as milk, yogurt and cheese have high calcium content. Green leafy vegetables are also great for bone development in babies. Dry fruits also aid strong bone development. Choosing baby foods carefully which aid bone development are necessary.
