Direct transfer maid

Hi.. we are in the midst if engaging a direct transfer maid from Myanmar.. all the necessary documents was prepared and almost getting air ticket for her to come in 1 Dec..

Today she told my husband that she need to pay under table money to a middle man before they can fly out from their country.

Can I ask have anyone encounter similar case before..
