Coping without CL ?

Hello - wondering if anyone has experience coping without CL for first time mummy ? I will be a stay at home mum and we intend to engage a helper for house chores and have been looking at engaging a confinement nanny for first 1-2 month however realised so many fake reviews are out there ;( we really do not want to take the chance on a bad nanny so I’m wondering if it’s feasible to do it alone ?

Hi, I did my own confinement for my first pregnancy. It was doable as long as you have a strong supportive network ie engaging partner and parents/in-laws who are willing to tank the night shifts with/for you. We were lucky as our helper is very experienced and independent managing the housework. However one thing I did not expect that my parents are no longer comfortable handling newborns (eventhough they promised to help initially) and their age is catching up for childcare, we were also paiseh to ask them help with night shifts so we ended up rather sleep-deprived for first 2months without a nanny. (Eventhough my husband took 2months leave and was very helpful). Hence Im now getting 2months of confinement for my second pregnancy.
