Dear mummies looking for confinement nanny,
I would like to recommend my nanny Siew Lan from Malaysia. She is very experienced and I think she is like a baby whisperer. My DD falls asleep in her arms when she wouldn't in my arms. Her cooking is decent and she knows all the traditional confinement rules. She does not force traditions on you but will tell you what is usually done. She says that she does not force things on the mummies because she is after all being employed. XD
I had c-section. She did not allow me to bathe at first but only wipe my body every day. I thought I was not able to bathe for the entire period. LOL! It was a relief when I found that that I could. She prepares boiled water with rice wine. After my doctor remove the dressing, she prepares more water so that I can bathe every day. No washing hair though, although I did wash once during the middle of my confinement because I couldn't take it anymore.
You may wish to note that she receives calls during work. She will ignore calls if she is busy but will talk on the phone when she is free. I think it is fair for her to do so because she receives calls from future employers.
Do talk to her yourself to see if you would be comfortable with her. You will after all be confined at home with her for 28 days, with mostly only her to talk to, if everyone else works in the morning, like in my family.
