Chin Leng, PLS TAKE NOTE!!!

Just wondering ...hehe

Chin Leng, do you feel sian to look at this thread? I rememeber during one of my hols, I worked as a temp receptionist. After that job, I hate to pick up phone calls. I dont even go near my house phone for at least a month.:p

Carole,
I agree with you. There are many new people coming in to post items for sale in WTB section.

Ribena,
I ever worked as a receptionist b4. Like yourself, I don't pick up the phone when I reach home after work. Even talking is a chore.

can WTS/WTE co-exist?

many using "WTE" to WTS/WTE! itot WTE are meant for WTE only? now situ is like WTS/WTE

CL, pls advise.

carole: i think part of the problem is that some members would respond to a selling thread even in the WTB/Free section, if no customers then no sellers, right?

janet, maybe the solution would be to ban the members who knowingly disobey the rules too?? dunno but it is getting out of hand, the nubmer of people selling things in the other sections.

I think the main problem is there are no restrictions in Free Items and WTB section.

I feel that the same rules in the WTS section, should be applied in those 2 sections too.

Patsy,
It's really irritating to see people posting items for sale in WTB/Free items section. Some people even post items for sale in Free items section and ask for exchange for vouchers. Hope the moderators do something about this. I even received an email from a newbie saying she is aware she is posting in wrong section but the reason is because she cant post in WTS section.

carole: yah too many exceptions though recently!!

janet: it is irritating... they already know they can't post but still go on and post!! some are pretty sneaky about it too and say they want to exchange for voucher as you say, which is as good as selling... maybe newbies shouldn't be allowed to post in the marketplace at all??

Flooding in almost every thread fm 2005 mtb to 2007 mtb section, and also in other sections.

User : My Precious Baby (preciousbb)

Too many threads to list here, hope CL and BL can do something about it.

Violet, i have emailed CL. hope he will do something.. looks like forum no moderators manz, as many times all the post we listed never get to be deleted.

Hi Violet and Carole,

We've removed all 74 postings by the user and her account has been suspended too. It took me about 3 hours to remove all the postings.

Thanks for informing us regarding the violation. This is one of the violations that we'll take immediate actions. It is a big no-no regardless if the account owner is an advertiser.

Regards,
Chin Leng.

Hi all,

Don't worry, we are still around. We actually started working immediately after the CNY public holidays. I'm sorry that we may seem a little slower recently in removing the highlighted threads as we are busy with some other tasks at the moment. For example, we are busy developing the look of SingaporeMotherhood.com. Also, I've been consulting with other IT experts (hopefully) in how we can manage the future traffic growth of the forum. I hope to be able to speed up the forum response but it is a complex decision as every solution has its pros and cons, especially when we have a very limited budget.

About new users posting sales threads in WTB and other markeplace threads, we are painfully aware of the situation. We know that we can restrict access to all the marketplace threads for new users, but similarly, they would start posting their sales in non-marketplace threads. We are reluctant to limit access to the "WTB/Free Items" thread also because we feel it'll be unfair to the genuine new users who are really looking to buy or free pass-me-downs.

This is our dilemma and we are sorry that we don't have any creative solutions yet.

Regards,
Chin Leng.

Patsy,
The problem is these newbies come in and their 1st few postings are selling off things.

Chin Leng,
Firstly, Happy CNY to you and the rest of the staff.

I guess it would be difficult to impose restricted access to WTB/Free items for newbies. However we are also around and will inform you about these new postings.

Thanks & Rgds,
Janet

CL: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I would have to agree that taking away WTB & WTE will be too much for NEWBIEs. Hoping much something can deter them from this manz.

Some are so smart to put in WTE, but inside details write WTE/WTS etc...
