Anyone ever applied for a ppo?

I m thinking of getting a ppo against my husband.
Anyone ever tried to and was it a difficult process?
Hope some kind mummies can share ....

My friend tried to get a PPO..

You just have to go to the family court in Havelock, get a number and file an affidavit recording and providing evidence for abuse..

They will advise you if your case qualifies for a PPO.. If it does, they will give you a temporary one .. the temporary protection order can include an order for him to leave the house and stay away from you and your children if he is physically abusive..

Thanks so much, but I wonder why they must make it so hard for us ... Filing affidavit n all.
It costs money n is time consuming. Don't they realise a life is at stake?

Hi Super SOnic, no need to cost any money, I got one through Social Services before. They will help you with the paperwork.
