Hihi,

Not sure if any one has any good TCM to recommend for children below 10?

cos my boy ENT like got some "self cleansing" problem that's affecting his sensitive nose to cause mucus and backflow to his throat and causing him to cough forever.....seen many docs and even baby/children doctor, the med seems to work awhile only and den his body got immue for the med and won't work anymore.

So thinking of trying out TCM but dunno where to find one that sees children. If have can pass contacts? Thanks.

cheers

Eu Yang Sang has TCM pediatric clinics. You may want to check it out.

My younger boy was coughing continuously for months (no joke) when he started school at 3 and none of the western medicines cured him till I brought him for several sessions of EYS Tui Na at Hougang Mall.

As for my elder child, he was very prone to flu (abt every mth) when he was in CC and after taking several courses of TCM prescribed by the physician in Rivervale Mall, the frequency of him falling ill reduced tremendously.

Hi,
I have now believe on -ve ion with far infrared products. Reason is it has finally help me to get back on my both feets standing and walking for two months already. I wear its compression socks and sleep on its mattress.

My child immunity seems to be better with just a day fever only since Jan. My child super sick and super vomit since babyhood. Now,start to show some good results after sleep onmattress with -ve ion and far infra red

Both of us are sleeping on this -ve ion with far infrared mattress since jan and are seeing results. No medication needed, very safe and healthy product that you can even bring into hospital to let your closed ones sleep..by showing the doctor it's international health logo sealed at bottom of mattress.

Please call me at 97710200 for me to bring you to listen to its product talk and sleep on the sample mattress. Beneficial to gain better insights in it.

Hi MommyBaby,

My 3 year old boy has the same issue, sensitive nose, mucus backflow, etc.
Eventually I found a TCM that specialise in paediatrics rhinitis & sinusitis treatment, using nose spa and Tui Na.

At 2 year old, my boy start with frequent nose and cough issue. Western doctor initially gave him the normal flu medicine. However, it was only temporary suppressing. Eventually, the western doctor prescribe him Ventolin and Belco-asma, as much as 16 puff day day on serious days.
I was shock!

Initially Ventolin seems good results, however, it did not solve the root cause. Ventolin only helps to relive my boy temporary. While the mucus is not expel, it further backflow, and subsequent casue whizzing in his lung. Nose issue become so frequent, with average of 2 clinic visits per month. Then doc increase his flu medicine dosage, when his body starts to get immue to it.
Overall, he was on frequent western medicine and ventolin for nearly a year. With this, he often miss school too, about 50%.
And I could actually see that the Western medicine weaken his body, he looks pale compare to the past. Dark eye circle could also be seen, as he tend to have less quality sleep due to nose issue.

I started him with TCM last Oct. But you need to be prepared that the first few months could be intensive treatment, depending on case by case.

For my boy, he was on intensive treatment for the first 3 months. They treat using nose spa, in a form of steam treatment. The steam helps him to remove the mucus, rather than backflow. And after each treatment, my boy can sleep well, as his nose is less blocked by muscus backflow.

Nowadays, my boy visit the TCM about once a month, for routine check, especially when the whether change drastically, his nose will start to give some signal. I'm also a bit kiasu, wants to prevent it before issue start again. Then slowly lower the frequency over time.

Initially I was skeptical, as I never hear of such treatment. But, rather than let the issue persist and affect my boy health, which could affect school as well, I gave it a try. It was challenging to convince my husband and my parents-in-law as well.

BTW, my husband was convince by my son's results and he himself took up the treatment from them as well. He has sinus and asthma. Accordingly to him, in the past, both his nostrils are block 80%, with one of the nostrils canal crooked. Today, after the treatment, the nostrils which is non crooked is fully cleared. The one which is crooked is partially cleared. With this, he has better quality sleep, and sleeps shorter hours than before.

If you want to go for TCM, don't expect miracle to happen in just the first few visits. TCM is known to solve the root cause, with longer time frame.

Hi Odae_7 (odae_7) / babakba (babak) / Sok Keng (sok_keng),

Thank you very much for sharing. Upon posting, there are many very nice mummies that are sharing, whether thru PM or posts. It is really very nice......

Both my HB n myself really dunno what to do. Seems so lost as dunno where to go.

Sok Keng, you son symptoms is almost exact like my son NOW!!! His nose canel is also block, most of the time I think he is breathing thru mouth or wad. den the nostrils are always and is ALWAYS dirty....no matter how much he clear or I clear or my HB clear....it's always there....zzzz

PD also give sprayss, one for washing and one for his nose....he really hate it and cried n scream everytime we put.... See him like that I also sad. Like give birth to him to go thru these haiz.....

Btw, is the clinic that you mention do acupunture? cos i scare they use needle on him....I very ok with tui na....and is the charges ex? Any medicine to take also? Cos I know chinese med is very tough to get kids to drink :p

Thanks thanks.....

Hi MommyBaby,

Sorry for late reply

No they don't use acupunture for kids.
They treat using nose spa, with herbs. (Imaging we have face spa, in form of steam). But rest assure the steam is around 30+ to 40oC, does not hurt the kids. For your information, I think they are the only TCM that use this type of treatment, cos I could not find it else where.

As for medication, usually they prescibe to my boy when its really bad.
Each consultation with nose spa and tui na cost about $50.

My boy consultation at western doctor also can comes up to $100+, especially when he is prescribe with ventolin.
I'm not sure if the doctor prescribe your boy with ventolin, but it is BAD for the kids, worst it only give tempory relief then to solve the root cause.

Hi Sok Keng (sok_keng),

I also must say sorry for my late replies cos really super busy with 3 kids n FTWM......

Ya actually I went after seeing your post that weekend and till now almost weekly or bi-weekly we still went.

My boy like the "tui na" but actually he take it as massage haha...he find it very funny....

Ya they specialize in kids sinus... the only problem we have is the distance cos I'm staying at bedok...so imagine got to go back pick him after work and chiong down. Their last appointment is 8pm. Weekends too many ppl and we are also so occupied on all weekends....so normally we went on weekdays.

Most importantly is spend money liao must see little result right.....western doc spend $ but yet he still suffer.....

Really thank you for recommending
