My mum had started trial with HillTop, glad that she, dad n sister prefer and like their cooking.. At least all the dishes dont have the same sweet taste.She paid 116 for 2 person including plastic container..
 
Hi leo thanks for the update, btw $116 for 2 person is only for their trial for 10 days right? Does it comes with rice?
 
well i will start my trial with hilltop soon though its more exp than kims kitchen and neo garden. will update on their food quality here...

116 10days trial for 2 w/o rice. I opted for no soup and was given 4 dishes. I issued chq payable to Hilltop,sealed in an envelope and stick it on my main dr w Hilltop written with a marker.

btw I paid 212 for 2 w/o rice. actually 12 is 4 the plastic container. Also opted 4 no soup cos my mum cooked soup 4 herself n me.
 
oh yah... the portion is not a lot enough for me, husband n 2 kids, the emperor chicken is unlike those sold in food court drumstick - it is chicken cut into pieces...
 
Wonder whether is there other way than sticking the envelope on the main door? Btw, which area do you stay?

I stayed Bukit Merah area, ya lor my whole family likes my mum soup.. traditional charcoal boiled... Everyday when I fetch my kid from her hse after work I dapao soup back. So far tried sticking chq for Kim's n Hilltop. Safe n Sound.. The method suggested by Kim's, she said a lot of her customer doing that

Dont know d timing, every time reach hm at 7pm,
the delv guy will hang the packet of food on my gate.

You can hang an "S" hook at your gate. The delivery guy will then hang the food (usually in a plastic bag) over the "S" hook.
 
Tried Hilltop today. Am not really happy with their dishes... A little more unhealthy than others I tried... One of the dish: fried crabstick which is a very cheap and unhealthy dish. They arrived to my place very cold, much colder than the other tingkat companies. But this is only my 1st day trying...

Just as maisymouse had mentioned previously, different people have different taste...For my family, their dishes are just right for us. My hasband told me not to change other caterer.

I believe that you feel that hilltop is good for your family and I'm sure u feel that way but other forumers are also free to voice their opinions. So no hard feelings eh?

I think its good to give new caterer a try but in the forum we can also offer constructive feedback that can be helpful to other people...

As I mentioned, its the first day I tried hilltop and I'm giving my honest opinion abt it...

I used to order from Kim's Kitchen, but their dishes is getting worse, hence, currently, i switched to Chu san Wei catering.
