today May Day we stayed home all day! nak keluar tapi punyalah malas, in the end just stayed home.

one more thing you need to bear in mind is that the maid needs to go for medical checkup every 6mths, and you will have to bear the costs. and i think once a yr she needs to go for x-ray. if ever your maid tak pass the medical checkups, her work permit will not be renewed.

my daughter also is in the jendul club. hahaaa! how on earth do you make him smile like that??? i took my daughter's passport photo myself and it took me about 4284 tries before we managed to shoot a decent photo. even then, she wasnt smiling. GGGGRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

you mean your ILs used to stay in Taman Sutera? wat a small world! i am very sure my parents will know them, cause my father ni ada gene peramah, seluruh kampung sampai the tukang sapu sampah pun he kenal! sampai last yr he was voted "Friendliest Neighbour" in Taman Sutera, dapat plaque lagi tu! LOL!!

btw, how long did your ILs stay there? why did they sell? my parents tinggal at Taman Sutera Biru 3.

These banyak2 small shops really resemble shopping ctr kat KOREA. Sempit but v interesting! The clothes are cheap. Ada satu kedai tu jual btwn $5 to $25 for tops, skirts, jeans etc.. Dun worry yg bis sizes pun ada hahaha.

taman sutera tu sebelah mana? My parents tinggal kat Tmn Setia Indah dekat Jusco. Si Jusco ni, shopping ctr besau tapi satu pharmacy pun TAKDE! Frust betul! Hari tu I told my hb that i insist we get them before we go back to s'pore. Nasib baik dia tk bising...actually my hb tak nk i take the R until kita tutup factory... but then i told him to let me shed the 1st preg weight first lah. Kalau tk, bila preggie lagi, weight gain will be more on top of the unshed kilos. Dah mcm hippopotamus walking ard the sch!

U know, semalam, I had the MOST wrenching incident ever happened to me (for now). My dd jatuh dari my katil! Aft i put her on the bed on my duvet, I gi lah simpan brg2 kat my walk in wardrobe, skali i dgr BOOP! And in my heart i knew instantly it was her! My worst fear came true! Nasib baik she fell on her stomach. Nangis sampai tak berlagu and I pun nagis dgn dia. My hb kat bwh pun dgr dia jatuh...Nasib baik we checked there were no swelling and she didn't cry when we tried to move her limbs and press gently on her stomach. Dia pun penat so she cried even more. I gave her some water and then her pacifier and she went to sleep. I think we were all in shock. At night she would sometimes cry in her sleep and i pulak takleh tdo so today I took leave to bring her to the clinic to certify that she's ok. Now she's sleeping lah so can masuk forum. Pagi tadi bangun at 6am for her milk, seemed to be cheerful as normal... so hope she's really fine lah.

Sharena, been in your situation before. I was at work when my hubby called to say my eldest (dulu at 4 mths) jatuh katil pasal dia tinggalkan sekejap to get something. Terus told my HOD I nak balik and we rushed to KK. Hehe. Kiasu parents lah. Nasib baik takde pape. Benjol pun takde. Now with the 2nd one, tak kancheong sangat. At least I know what to look out for in case he falls (Nauzubilahiminzalik). Your girl shld be alright since she's cheerful and all.

Sharena, I've experienced that wrenching moments with my DS - 2 times actually. 1 under my watch and the other one under my DD's watch. I swear I could kick myself. That's why I'm afraid to be a SAHM. I'll be a terrible one.... esp now my DS cam ketam already... crawling, touching, standing here & there.. very tiring & anxiety I dibuat nyer membontot him everywhere.. My hse got lotsa of stuffs. Not a baby-on-crawling-stage friendly place laa.. I jadi paranoid. I covered most his playroom flr with bumper mat to soften his fall... and when I put him on my bed even for a short while, below both sides of the bed I put floor mattress just in case he overshot.
Your hubby remarks on toys that we mummies buy for baby, my hubby has the same thoughts too. It's more FOR ME than for DS.. and he's actually right... heheheee ...... Honestly I think ignorant IS a bliss.. coz I bought too many bad buys due to reading too much.. haiz.. live & learn

dengar about ur baby jatuh makes me scared lehh...i slalu kanchong if nak pergi dapur /toilet, suruh hb atau my gal jaga2 baby no use coz they so engrossed in PS2...*haiz*..so my bed jadi medan perang lah, bantal berbukit bukit i buat...itu pun i rushed watever it is i have to do...heheh...

*hugz* i am glad your dd is alright. i know that is one of a mum's worst nightmares.

i am very fortunate that i have never experienced such things with my dd before, because i am very kan cheong spider, i never leave her on the bed alone if i need to do something. what i do is to leave her in the exersaucer! hee...so aren't you glad you got yourself an exersaucer now?

anyway, my dd did have a very terrible fall/accident at home before, but it was under my maid's watch. my dd was on the swing, then maid tengah jaga her, standing next to the swing. i was in the kitchen and i could see them from where i was. then my maid sooo careless, instead of watching my dd her eyes were glued on the tv! then my dd jatuh and fell head 1st onto the floor! she nangis lah macam kena pukul like that! i ran fr the kitchen and carried her, then check if her head, face, teeth, etc injured or not. i was sooo mad at my maid! kenalah marah the maid. then when hubby came back home also maid kena lectured by him.

phew, luckily doc said she's ok but just in case of anything we still have to monitor her 24hrs since the fall. I just need the doc to conform ajelah cos she seemed normal today...

Ckp pasal gynae ni, my hb dulu insisted that i see a woman gynae. Padahal i actually prefer male gynae cos most of them are more empathetic. Luckily my fren recommended us her gynae which was her sis' gynae also. She's really good lah.. kat TMC. Even Diana Ser was her patient. Tapi bayaran ubat mahal jugak lah. Bila ada second one, i'll go back to her but the medicine i hope i can get it off from the pharmacy. Normally folic acid and caltrate blh get from pharmacy kan? I also took Prolacta in the second trimester onw.

btw my exersaucer tu dah sampai last wk. It was air cargoed. Bila my hb tgh pasang je my dd dah terlompat2 nak duduk yg baru! This one has more toys and can convert to activity table bila dah besar nanti...if she's nt at all bored with it lah. Dah rezeki dia, in the end, my aunt and her bf got this for her as a present. i heard abt an indian lady doc jugak...my fren say she was checked by her n the lady never gave any warning but juz shoved her 2 fingers in (down under) in a split second~! tak ader nak suruh dia releks ke...take a breath ke...ish! but cant confirm lah if same doc...if nak chose ur gynae, actually its up to u...r u ok wif male or female doc? my visits to dr jazlan have all been nice n pleasant ...even hubby is happy to hve him as my doctor at that time...cuma sayang i tak amik dia as the birth doctor, maklumlah i SAHM tak nak my hubby bayar banyak2...anak dah 2...kalau sakit camner kan...*grins*

Sharena, your dd will be ok. Amaar pun quite a few times jatuh from the bed. Jaga punya jaga, these things do happen. Just few days ago, he was in his hyperactive mood and while zooming across the room, his nose hit the couch. Dahlah hidung kemek! the impact was quite hard, cos he bleed a little. Nangis tak berlagu!! I put ice pack to numb it a bit but 10 mins later, he was zooming across the room again!!

you saw dr irene chua? is she young? is she patient? my gynae, dr adelina wong, - who, in my opinion, is the best gynae in the whole wide world - has left for tmc and i want another kk gynae for my next pregnancy. the hospital has given me dr yeap min li tapi dia ni macam n-y-o-n-y-a and she is too eager to send me for further tests and see specialists for everything. i want somebody who wont make me feel so kanchiong especially because i am slated to have another difficult pregnancy.

zaman dulukala bila i tengah secondary school, my friend started eating evening primrose for her terrible stomach cramps during her period and it worked. that is *all* i know about evening primrose.

actually, i am not keen on supplements. to me, they are just chemicals coursing through my veins. i would rather eat the food in its original form. tapi, ni pendapat i aje. everyone is entitled to her own opinion. then again, i dont get bad cramps. nanti, kalau kene bad cramps sampai tak boleh bangun, agaknye, bermangkuk mangkuk supplements and ubat i telan.

my dearest little precious 1-year-old daughter fell out of her cot on saturday. macam nak pengsan i.

we were getting ready to go to desaru and i tengah sidai baju, husband tengah kemas rumah.

kita letak makcik kecik tu dalam cot dia jadi kita tak terpijak dia time tengah sibuk2 kemas rumah.

tiba tiba, my husband rasa macam ada earthquake followed by a heart-wrenching scream.

we were sooo ready to cancel the trip. i called the kkh nurse (1900-kk-nurse 80 cents a minute. very important number to have at the top of your head) and they asked for any visible injuries. no, donch have. then she asked me to just observe her for the next 24 hours for vomiting and drowsiness.

alkisah, 10 minutes later, makcik tu dah start buat stunts dia panjat sofa, panjat kerusi dan sebagainya.

macamana dia boleh keluar dari cot?

my daughter ni amatlah active tak terkata lagi dan dia punya hobi - buat pull-ups. she must have pushed one leg against the corner of the cot to lift herself up and then pull herself out of the cot using her hands.

i penat betul jaga anak dara sorang ni. ni pun belum pandai jalan lagi.kalau dah jalan ke dah lari ke.... ya ampuuunnnnn...

Ya, my PIL stayed in Taman Sutera Hijau 1..opp rumah Harun Ghani..I think they must have known your parents as well. After they retired, bought the house there and stayed for about 9-10 yrs ..then decided to let go and come back here because tak tahan nak mengendalikan 2 houses here n there..Lagipun FIL cannot stay home for long,went back teaching.

ohhh..i think i know where your PIL stayed. so they are retired teachers lah? this estate got many s'pore teachers lah!

for my parents they stay there permanently, then only come back every thur afternoon to my place to visit their granddaughter, then the go back fri afternoon.

they have a flat in s'pore but my sis and her hubby staying there now. this june also my sis moving to her onw place, so my parents' flat will be empty. i think they will just sell off the place.

Actually eh, not paiseh meh got malay male for gynae? My DH always insist I get other races coz he feels more comfortable dealing with non-Malay, he doesn't mind male or female laa... My 1st was a male gynae Dr A.L. Lim @ TMC (very assuring but have to wait like forever even with appt). 2nd one a female Dr Watt @ RH. But initially saw Dr Benjamin @ KKH b4 switching to Dr Watt. Both was good but Dr Watt was better laa... in terms of assurance and patience.

I pun actually against taking pills PERIOD unless absolutely necessary. Currently only on oral contraceptive(OCP) pasal that time lepas I had my 4th one, my gynae refuse to do a ligation for me. Ada dia kata, manalah tau, kalau in future we want another. Dia ni loves kids a lot, thats why!

OCPs supposed to regulate menses & reduce the cramps but dah 3mths I take them, sama jugak my cramps. Macam nak pengsan! Lepas tu, I heard this Evening Primrose can help so ingat nak try lah. Dengar-dengar, its also good for water retention & hormonal imbalance.

I pun tak tahu lah, very skeptical but think will just try & see how it goes.

My DH tu suka sangat pergi Bintan. Loves the surrounding! We stayed at Banyu Biru, sebelah Nirwana aje so we use their facility. Tapi biasalah, cuti panjang, ramai orang...I tak suka nah!

Oklah, next week I shd be free except for Wed...got playdate for Saarah. You text me ajelah. If I was arnd, could hv met you at Square 2 the other day...

I nak recommend you all Dr Benjamin Tham at KK. He is very nice man. Patient & supportive. Even took the initiative to remember my kids names etc...

Anyone ada experience with good female gynae at KKH? Tapi kan i dgr2, KKH pun dah mahal. I noticed my fee for csection and my bb pulak masuk NICU 3days came to abt 4k but KKH was more ex. The deposit for TMC was only $600 compared to KK $1000.

I pun suka pergi Bintan. My hb and I kalau gi Bintan or Batam holiday Inn, we'll head straight to the spa to book our slots. Kalau Bintan we can do it from S'pore. Banyu Biru is the villa kan? Brape u bayar? Tak salah they hv own pool and a golf cart to go around kan?

Villa wt own pool is the other one...Indra Maya, yg atas bukit.

Ours was wt common pool tapi Nirwana punya lagi best so we go there lah. We paid $550 for 3 nights/ 3 bedroom villa. I tak de chance nak gi spa this time. You use the Spa yg kat Mayang Sari eh?

My gynae semua male. I feel more comfortable wt male one rather than females. Ya lah, KK is considered semi-government what. Kalau you choose C or B2-class, definitely murahlah. Kalau kita choose gynae sendiri etc, I think private works out cheaper. Cuma I comfortable dgn KK pasal kalau BB ada ape-ape, I know they are well-equipped & the doctors well-trained.
