i got married at 21, hehe...oklah, young at heart but matured in mind...helps a long way in marriage. n yeah, my gerl sarah pandai tolong2 jugak, kasi susu/siapkan barang mandi baby/check pampers hehehe....have to lah, kalau tak susah i nak masak....for the age gap tu bukan plan, ter-happened~...tried wen she was 3+ but no luck then wen i wanna lose weight n managed to lose 10kg...terus preggy! dah rezeki...haha...aniways, i stay amk...

watie, you pun lost a lot of weight eh? Korang ni mcm senang je lose weight? Aku ni terkiyal kiyal but kan the last 2 weeks I have lost 2kg already. Nt on reductil yet though. My doc is ordering for me and he's charging me for $120 per bottle. Aku ni malas nak gi JB but if I do go then I'll get a few lah...
My exersaucer is here already! So excited. We got the 3 in 1 activity and there are so many things to play! Aku yg excited. Like my hb said it's more for me than Farah!! hehehehe..
btw, now that my school has started their exams , relax sikit aku until my papers come in for marking barulah busy but for now it's my Sec 3 kids so my graduating classes have lessons on still and their mock exams. So kalau tk nampak for some time then u all know lah , i'm busy with exam marking... uuurrggghhhh..
Time kecik2 kalau suruh mark apa2 bukan main punya suka.. no wonder teacher kita suruh exchange papers and mark.. it's really time consuming especially cos I have 9 classes of average 40!! Boleh pengsan bila mark exam papers, lagi2 the pure chemistry papers!

Dia baru turn 2 tahun. I ambil kat studio portrait exactly on his birthday. Kalau kasi dia present, alah, tak lama lagi mesti dah kena destroyed. So i buatkan portrait untuk dia. Bila dia besar nanti, bolehlah, dia simpan untuk memories. Kalau fikir, tak berapa ex pasal i dapat balik 200+ raw images (negatives). I juga dapat lagi 1 album free (tak de photos) dah 3 8R collages free. Boleh lah...untuk birthday dia. Lagipun, i tak de buat birthday party untuk dia. Cuma celebrate kat rumah mak i. Itupun, i cuma belanja kek. Heh. Yang lain, mak i masak.
Oh, my son ada sama motorbike dgn your son!!! My son dapat motorbike as birthday present daripada my father for his 1 year old birthday last year. This year, my parents, tolong masakkan untuk dia. I cakap dgn dia orang tak payah lah beli present.

i kalau ambik gambar pandai sembunyi-sembunyikan all my babat lah! but if you see me before preggie and now you can REALLY see the difference! my weight is usally ard 43-45kg, then preggie went up to 59kg. aft gave birth went down to 53kg and till now my weight hovering ard 50kg!! i want to go back to 43-45kg lah. all my old clothes until now tak boleh muat tau! at 1st i thought can wait a while, should be able to fit again. now dah 2yrs masih tak boleh muat, until i had to buy new clothes!
sedih tau i see my weight tak turun-turun. and then both my relatives and hubby's relatives also comment, i ni put on so much weight, until they can't recognise me anymore...

i am very very short and small-sized! my height ard 148cm only! 45kg on my body frame considered not slim anymore, cause i used to be 41kg for many many yrs, until i went to uni in Aust and piled on the pounds. eh, even when i weighed 48.8kg and decided to go gym to lose weight, they did a body fat analysis on me and i was in overweight category tau! body fat was almost 30 i think, or something like that...
this is the curse of being very small-sized. whenever i put on very very little weight, eg, 3-5kg, can REALLY see that i've put on weight.
even when i was preggie and my weight was ard 55kg already, dah kena warning from gynae and the nurses that my weight gain was too much, and i need to control it.
so even when i was preggie i had to watch my diet tau! is that sad or what? had to cut down on carbo and fatty food, everyday for lunch at work instead of eating food from coffeeshop, i packed from home and eat small amounts of pasta with chicken, mushroom & celery in a tomato-based sauce. ate that almost everyday!

Nora, dia bukan happy dapat adik. Dia happy nak keluar. My boy seldom shows his jealousy terang-terangan but we know he's jealous. When I first gave birth, he had cirit-birit the first time he saw his brother and everytime he was at home with us. My aunt who babysits him cakap kat rumah dia, dia takde pape. And dr pon cakap dia tak sakit.
Kadang bila his papa or I'm carrying the baby, dia pun nak dukung jugak. Bila adik dia minum susu, time tu jugak dia nak susu. And kadang adik dia kena tepuk. I try not to scold him whenever he does that takut he dendam w his adik.
For now I am a SAHM. Been looking after the first one since last April myself. Going back to work in June. Having mixed feelings about it as I'm really gonna miss spending time with my sons.

Sori if i intrude and digress abit from your topic abt losing weight. But i really need some opinions about hiring a maid. So would like to hear from malay mummies point of view. Have 2 questions...
1) Should i go to the malay maid agencies or can i just go to any other maid agencies?
and most importantly..
2) How much do i need to pay upfront (eg maid levy, agent fee etc etc?) and the monthly thereafter? Coz i need to work out my finances.

1) Should i go to the malay maid agencies or can i just go to any other maid agencies?
and most importantly..
2) How much do i need to pay upfront (eg maid levy, agent fee etc etc?) and the monthly thereafter? Coz i need to work out my finances.

i did not get my maid from any agency, as she was a transfer maid from another mom on this forum. but as far as i know, you can get a maid from ANY agency you choose to.
i am not too sure wat you need to pay upfront, i am assuming the bulk of it will be agency fees.
however, i know every mth i pay a total of $500, which is $200 maid levy (have to be paid via Giro) and $300 for my maid salary. of course you need to take into account her food expenses, medical fees (if she ever falls sick, and it also includes any dental fees) and basic neccesaties like her toileteries.

funny la ur son kena cirit berit when around his baby bro. Understandable la dia jealous kan, but at least dia tak macam geram gitu tengok adik dia.
my niece and nephew kan only 1 yr apart. now they are 5 and 6.. i tell u macam musuh tau.. selalu gaduh got cubit mencubit and tumbuk menumbuk.. so someone must always keep an eye on them, cannot be left alone. just last week the kakak hit the bro head with the magna doodle board sampai berdarah... pegi hospital, but no stiches cume deep laceration. da berbandage kepala kawan tu...

personally i prefer to go to malay agency. getting a maid is largely luck u know. i have changed a few within the last 8 mths... (4 actually.. got ltr from MOM already..sigh)
but i like malay agency bec easier to communicate our expectations, want to complain also easy..and from what i know Malay agency also charge higher penalty to the maids that got returned by the employer. so the maid a bit scared la.
each agency got diff charges. i go to SMR they charge bet $400-$600 (there are other agency charging lower) Then the maid's loan u can pay instalment monthly (which is actually maid salary but u pay to agency instead for the first 6 mths usually). Dun go for those agency that ask u to pay maid's loan upfront, bec later when u have problems with maid, thay can wash their hands.
The monthly payment is like what Lani said but now u got to top up $20 for their off day, if u do not want to give them the off day.
U see berita harian classifieds, a few big malay agencies are MNK, SMR and NUR. Golden Landmark has a few too i think.
make sure ur package allows u free replacements bec if the maid not suitable u then can use the free replacement to get a new one.
u can also interview the maids via phone. Dun get those already available at the agencies bec those are transfer maids ie. pple return them back to agency (so got problem already)
Be prepared with ur expectations and asked teh maids specific questions. Also note if they can understand what u r saying bec u do not want communication problems.
AND THEN U HAVE TO TRAIN THE MAID AND KEEP UR EYES ON THEM.. Big Headache!!

what nora says is true. having a maid may ease your household burdens, but then may add on other unexpected problems lah. you need to TRAIN the maid thorougly to do things your way, and always gotta keep an eye on them. you cannot give them too much trust or freedom. luckily i am a SAHM so can really supervise my maid, and if she does anything wrong, i can highlight to her straightaway. i also have some house rules for my maid, and she has a daily schedule of chores that she needs to do/follow.

Tadi aft makan lunch at Eatzi (apparently subsidiary of Jack's Place) kat Safra Yishun, we went to Square 2 kat blakang novena sq... wah! so interesting lah the shops. So many to look at! They are mostly from Korea. The bags are oohh la la... and cheap pulak tu. Ingatkan nak borong but then I nak save for shopping kat Vietnam in June. I only managed to buy 2 tops..
Kat sana pun ada Royal Cakes. The dark choc truffle pun mmmmmmmm...Ni balik kejap pun cos nak solat and feed my dd. Ingatkan keluar kejap je but then got carried away pulak so barang2 dia I tak bawak.

Thanks for the detailed explaination. I really appreciate it alot!! I am thinking of getting a maid coz I am expecting the 2nd one. My first one is 1 yr old. When i go back to work after the 2nd delivered, my mum will be the main caregiver. But i doubt she could cope with the caring of two young kids and household chores on top of that. So thought that getting a maid could lessen her burden. Another alternative is to send my first kid to a daycare centre.
