Oh dear.. i can almost see ic rushing off to Bangkok like superhero....

I went to watch nemo last saturday.. it was better than i expected bec i always thot ikan berkaki is so salah... but my all time favorite is still sesame street la...

my boboi slept ten minutes before the intermission and all the way thru the intermission, then he woke up and continue watching. so funny, it was loud and he slept so soundly.. penat na dia, macam la dia jalan kaki pegi sane
 


Lani, MBK tu ada ke halal food court? Twice we went there, kite makan KFC je. hahaha.. Tu pun tak tau halal ke tak. Tgk org pakai tudung makan, kite pon ngap je ar. Then i know yg tmpt wholesale market tu, ape name dia- Pratunam Ctr, tu ade satu halal stall jual beef noodle. Pun ok jgk. Maybe kite da lapar sgt, ari2 makan KFC, sume sedap ar. :p

Da lame tak pi BKK. Miss the pasar malam la. Tu je lar tmpt yg bole haggle over the price. Best. Shiok lar shopping. hehe Tp memang la baju2 budak obit. hehe.. Tapi kasot2 pat sane murah2!

alamak you! MBK got until 7th floor lah! on the 6th floor got big food court, got some more shops and then got a whole area all full of handicraft and household shops lah!! and then the 7th floor got cinema, arcade centre and a few more shops.

alamak to you pun! ada ke pergi BKK abis makan kfc aje! yes, the food court on 6th floor of MBK got at least 5 Halal stalls. all certified halal lah. you know lah, thailand kan also got quite alot of muslims now, so they make sure got halal food in the food court also lah. luckily my fave beef noodles there is halal!

actually, even if you go to chatuchak market they also have some halal food stalls, but i dunno exactly where they are, cause when i go there i tak makan. i pergi pagi immed after b'fast, then quickly shop until ard lunchtime, then i balik hotel room, keep all the things and go for lunch. cannot stay at chatuchak past lunchtime lah, cause the place SOOO panas really cannot tahan.

i know chatuchak got halal food stalls cause one of the shop owners we spoke to happen to be muslim and he told us there got muslim food, he even showed it to us on the map, but then i am not good at deciphering maps lah, so he explain pun for me macam masuk 1 ear keluar the other ear...hee....

then maybe your next hols you can plan to go BKK lah. murah, esp with all the budget airlines nowadays. i pergi naik airasia my tix was just S$30 per person! return tix pulak tu! their airport tax was more expensive, came up to S$110 per person. and then now you don't pay for BKK airport tax at the airport anymore. you will pay for the tax tog with your air tix. maybe you can bring arshad along too....

Yang i pergi, level 5 kat MBK, the entire food court is not halal. But got 1 stall that is halal. The name of the stall, "Muslim Food". So obvious right? Orang yang jual all muslims. Salah tengok, ingat makcik mana..but no..they're thailand muslims. Kat sana, nak identify muslims easier. Majority of the thai muslims pakai tudung. Then the rest is like "Singapore Food", "Japanese Food", "Italian" etc.. It's like a all-come-one nationality foodcourt.

Wah i didn't know so cheap lah. The last time i went there was for a business trip. So wherever i go was with my colleague. Tak berani wander around. Moreover, pergi sana kena kerja..so didn't have chance to go to chatuchak market. Cuma dapat pergi MBK & Siam paragon. My colleague ni pulak asyik nak balik hotel to go gym aje..workout. Apa nak buat...these guys..

My darling boy with my parents. So tadi dapatlah pergi "date" dgn hubby i. Punya lah lama kita tak berjalan dua-dua. Semenjak my son born lah! So i was so excited. Dapat pergi hajah maimunah makan dinner. Only disappointed, tak de sotong hitam. But overall enjoyed my outing tonight. Hai...unlike you, every week ada allocate outing time with your hero.

I gi chatuchak pun panas semacam, MBK pun i tak nampak stalls yg halal. I tk bnyk mkn pun. Kekadang tu pun tutup sebelah mata! Tapi tu dulu lah..

Nantilah since tix dah murah maybe cn go there again and c if it'll change my impression... I love the massage there though, murah sgt!

I ni kaki spa kalau u nk tahu. My hb pun sama so sometimes our date is to go for massage session.

yah the food court in MB got a few halal stalls. but must really open eyes big-big to see lah, because they are not very obvious. you gotta go right up to the stall then they will have small signs there somewhere saying they are halal or muslim stall. also you can tell they are muslim stalls cause these stalls will have ayat-ayat pasted on the wall of the stall.

yah, shopping there good for accesories and undergarments! baju not so nice. if you like spa then stay in a nice hotel that has a good spa lah. i know Pathumwan baru buka a new spa. when we stayed there they gave 1 free 15min massage session for every guest. but i tak pergi, cause no time! so busy shopping & eating! haha....

Like u say, tix pun da murah. Tapi kalo pi shopping bawak si Adam nie tak shiok. Cos dia slalu bising. Kena tunggu masa when i cn learn to let go of hi ru la kite le pi holiday together-gether!

I know Chatuchak ada halal stall tp kite pusing2 pat situ tak jumpe pon satu tmpt makan. Sesat tmpt anjing2 ada lar. hahaha... I love Chatuchak, byk bole bli pat sane. Tapi kene tahan dia nye panas je lar. Tapi shoppingnye pasal, sume bole.

I think now BKK a lot of changes. So i think your perception might change. In the beginning you will feel like some things are modern, some are not. Macam malaysia. Not sure about last time. Coz when i went last month, it was also my first time. No worries. Got halal food.

I prefer yang kat joo chiat. Pasal tak de those orang gila lah or those you know lah. But joo chiat close on monday. So semalam, i had to go the one at jalan pisang. Hopefully the next time, i can go to the one at joo chiat. Dah lama tak pergi seh..

By the way, any mummies tried 2HotHalal cafe at VivoCity / esplanade? Is it really good ke? And mahal tak? Dari luar, nampak macam mahal? What they serve? Kalau serve those makanan melayu which can get cheaper price macam kat hajah maimunah / east coast, then i rather go for cheaper ones.
 
The only thing i remember abt BKK on the whole, was that it was super duper PANAS... my brains like want to melt...but i dun enjoy travelling la. i dread the journey. so usually by the time i reach singapore i aleady forgot what i do overseas...

i've been to the 2hothalal cafe kat esplanade quite a few times since they open. oklah the food, pedas tu bolehlah jugak. depends on your taste i guess. but my opinion is that banyak choice/variety lah esp for the little ones...kesian gitu if i go there wt my kids.their food macam fusion gitu lah. hjh maimunah lagi best, lagi value for money!

I dah lama nak mkn hjh maimunah tapi asyik takde chance je. Tak pernah try pun! Kesian betul. Time bulan puasa slalu pack so always tak jadi mkn sana. Lagipun lagi best beli dari bazaar then mkn while jln2.

Hi Lani, understand u getting a 3D Elmo cake for your dd. Initially tot of getting a 3D cake too but comments from others is that they use buttercake hence its not as soft as sponge cake. Anyway, i'm sure ur dd is gonna be bowled over.

BKK - another place tt sells superb thai halal food is at Mak Yah's Restaurant. can't remember the exact road but its walking distance from Asia Hotel punye mrt station.

Gathering - wah love to join the fun.. but don't think I can make it.

Mad Jack - sells mainly western dishes. They are famous for their fish n chips which is quite good and its def cheaper than 2hothalal cafe. chicken chop sells about $6 plus onwards..and got nice cakes/desserts also. Their baked rice is not so nice btw...

just came back from my weekend getaway with my kids... boy it was such a mean feat enduring 2 highly dependent kids on a long drive hols.. I really got to really learn to detach myself from them and really have a good hols alone with hubby only.... sigh... (must die-die convince myself I deserve it.. hehehee...)

so you mummies planning a meet-up.. so sayang can't join coz dd got class & later dh already got tixs to the zoo... another family outing.. aaahhhh...

the usual place lah, ecreative. last yr her bday also from there. hubby's family liked the cake, very nice design and taste quite ok lah, so this yr i stick to them again lah, but different design. last yr Pooh, this yr Elmo. all these according to what my dd is crazy abt at the moment lah. next yr tak tahu apa pulak will be her craze....macam2 lah budak-budak sekarang....dulu kita punya turn i tak ingat ini semua...

E-creative tak certified halal. Actually kan, depends on individu. Ada very particular, ada tak.
Tapi kalau i celebrate dgn my parents, selalu, my parents celebrate birthdays lah..kitanye family macam gitu (excuse untuk gathering & makan), so i mesti beli kek halal. Hmm..kalau tidak, sure kena from my daddy. My hubby pun gitu, kalau boleh, dia kata beli certified halal. So my choices kan limited. But so far, nasib baik now got more selection of choices to order cakes daripada dulu.

Yup! What I meant by Halal and 'tak Halal' is exactly like what ic mentioned. Whether it's certified Halal or not. I normally will go for the one that is certified Halal although I know it narrows the choices very much. Kadang it's some of the other ingredients used that is not Hala. Well, this is what I have been told. Also what I found out when I read about Hala and Haram ingredients. So became 'was-was'. Hence, decided to forego such itemslah. But, now Hubby and kids somewhat get the hang of things. Even my dd dah pandai reject offers of marshmallows given by some of my friends or strangers cos she says that she doesn't know if they are certified halal or otherwise. It's true also what ic says about people's preference.

I tk so particular. My fave still Angie's or Swensens ice-cream cakes. Lucky for me, my family members semua tk cerewet lah except one of my aunts who is quite devout lah. But she tk kisah or offended, if the cake nt halal, then she tk mkn lah.

anyway, ecreative cake not certified halal. the 3D cakes are $180, but very very big. can feed 50-100 ppl lah! last yr my dd's b'day almost 40+ guests still had some leftover cake - the pooh head! pooh punya badan, kaki, tangan all dah makan!

i think secret recipe don't have any cartoon cakes. as for polar cakes, they have, but the tast really not nice lah! i just bought a small hello kitty cake for sarah a week ago and the taste not so nice. we all makan pun tak habis. i think you should try either swensen's or blossoms lah.

I pun nak buat but then tunggu my daghter besar sikit, tapi nanti takut ada second one pulak.. hahaha

At the moment cuma sasha, me and ryatie aje yg can make it for the gathering..Btw, my hubby ada pool competition (company punya) so tak dpt ikut lah.

Wow!!! Besar betul. Hehehe...Can definitely fit lots of mouths. Do they have various sizes? Definitely expensive but the design is extremely beautiful. I'm sure my ds would LOVE it...especially if it's a car or a train.

I think that cake cost over $100 agaknya..cant really remember exact amount.

Btw, can u all believe it that my ds belum pernah pergi Zoo??!!! Too hard to believe eh..I think he's 3rd Bday should buat kat sana ah..Nak bawa at early age, dia masih belum tahu apa2 so maybe now is about time la..but he knows all the animals la just that have not seen the real ones..those wild ones I mean..
