eh at least yr son dah boleh cakap banyak jugak. He's not 18 mths yet kan? My son lagi, already 18 mths but - he can only say mamam, ayah, Ti (short for MRT/ thomas train) . he can shake / nod his head too. Lagi sikit! But he understands a lot of things, and amuse us by the day.

Physically, walked at 11 mths when his "uncle" who was 2 mths older only walked at 16 mths

So, all kids progress differently. THis is one thing I'm not worried about - boys also start talking later than girls. Jadi jangan risau lah. Nanti tiba2 je Anaqi will shooot, terus u yang tak leh stop bobal dgn dia eheh

Well at least u tried. I don't have a single flashcard for Adam. Ok, maybe the black,red & white one time kecik, lepas tu benda tu dah bersepah adam buat gigit2 & campak2. ehhe.

Learning must be made fun. We do coz we understand what we're doing, and not just semata-mata nak ikot orang. Kalau anaqi dah bored, let it go. Kalau paksa, takut pulak he'll think learning is so stifling - kena paksa baca.

And at least he eats. I think adam only enjoys eating when ada teman (cousins at my IL's place). Kalau kat rumah, i'll count myself lucky if he can eat half a bowl of rice.

nak tau tak wat i did to him wen hes 1yr old n still no signs of talking at all.. tepuk mulut dia dgn sirih.. every fri we did this for like 5-8tims tau.. n lelagi dulu dia kuat nonyot, puting.. so we threw his ating away.. n make him talk with us.. so much so alhamdulilah he can speak well tp his words smtimes not as clear as the adik girl.. yg girl tu aku tak ya tepok sirih mulut dah cam mak nenek lau aku tepuk entah apa nak jadi. she can start talking at e age of 10mths.. simple2 ah.. walking ah lambat skt ard 1yr plus.. sal dia berat... so to compare e achievements of my kids my girl picks up faster way too faster thane abg..</font>

Jangan risaukan hal anak - let them grow naturally - of course its good if we guide and teach them at a young age but don't overdo it.

One thing is, you have to always talk to them. Tiba2 nanti bila dia dah pandai cakap you all yang penat tak terlayan.

My son berbual tak stop... i pernah tanya dia, mika tak penat eh berbual? mama dgr, taik telinga mama bleh cair tau!!

my mom said, dulu budak tu blom pandai berbual, asyik2 tanya, bila nak berbual, apsal blom pandai berbual.... now dia dah pandai berbual, kau layan la dia!

my MIL suruh i tepuk mulut mika ngan surat - petua org dulu2... i tak buat pun... coz the only surat dlm rumah skrg, are bills!
and i takyah buat, dia bleh pandai berbual, so much so dat i told my MIL, mak bapaknyer yg kena tepuk ngan surat, to catch up with mika's petah.

The sirih part, one of the maids who live in my block pernah cakap with me to do that to Adam to make him talk faster. But I rasa macam seram gitu seh. Ada ke scientific evidence yang nyatakan sirih boleh buat budak tu bobal cepat? Lagipon it just doesn't gel with my beliefs. I'd rather let Adam progress naturally drp expose him to sirih ni sumer. hehehe.

Yelahh..not easy lahh for me next year..P6,P2 &amp; P1..homework berbakul punya..but normally, i just let them do by themselves and check thru aft they finished it. Try not to get involved too much coz i am not a good coach and too ringan tangan lahh..nnt dah terlepas baru nak menyesal..kan dah tak guna..</font>

they (MOE) really emphasize on creative writing &amp; thinking out of the box! Totally different from wat I went thru...

I cant help but think dat watever i've learnt in skool back then is sooo redundant, compared to wat they covering now in skool..

Ladies, i dah arrange for my mum 50th Birthday for her to go to Suri Spa &amp; Salon. Quite reasonable their package.. Dorang pun will give a birthday card to her... For about 5hr pampering session, cost about $120 after 22% discount. Ok kan ?
