dia tinggal pat whampoa la, nk pi poly pun tak kan dtg cck. Anak ko terror la, minom susu byk gitu. Adam skrg susah nk minom susu. Seari 2x je. Tu pon tak smp 8oz. Tapi makan nasi byk ar. Bab tu aku rasa milk intake dia kurang.

Lani, Sarah so steady eh le makan pedas. Adam rasa sikit je da terpekik. Dia tak tahan pedas la, mayb ikot my side la. Cos my hb and ILs loves spicy food. Tapi one tg dia dgn sarah same is tt dia pun pantang nmpk org makan, sume dia nk bedal. Jgn jadi mcm kingkong suar. Else i cnt tak terlarat nk angkat dia.

Mademoiselle, biasa le budak2. Kalo sakit appetite hilang, bab tu weight dorang mcm yoyo! U pun nk ke, kalo sakit sape nk jaga yr child.

my dd really can tahan pedas! she will eat until her eyes all watering but when we offer her water she dont want! my mum says she really got lidah melayu, but the thing is i tak tahan pedas sangat. cili padi esp i cannot tahan. my hubby pulak opposite - chinese but can REALLY tahan pedas. cili padi he kunyah like makan gula-gula lah! so i think sarah ikut his daddy lah...

tomorrow i have to wake sarah up by 8am, cause i don't want her to be late for her 4.30pm JG class (must make her take afternoon nap by 2pm). if i don't wake her up in the morning she can sleep till 10am!

Adam sleep oredi. He normally sleep ard 9.30 to 10pm. Lagi, just nw pi IL's place so slalu balik je dia pengsan. Cos wen he there, he forgets abt sleeping.

Is tmr Sarah first class? Tmr u share with me hw her class is. Heard so many gd review abt JG but v ex la.

tomorrow is sarah's 2nd class. last week was her 1st. it was sooooo drama lah!! btw, she is in the billigual playclub class, so it's 1hr chinese 1hr english. you should see her face during the chinese class - her face sooo bingung and boring! she tak faham langsung what the teacher is saying!! and she cried also last week, cause the teachers too mama-drama when they tell the stories until she got scared then cry....hahaha!! hopefully tomorrow she will be better...

actually the 2hrs quite fast. cause chinese lesson got story-telling, sing & dance, arts & craft then snack time. then english lesson got story-telling, play-time then sing & dance. yah i'm crossing my fingers she'll be ok today.

at first i also thought it's quite ex, but i don't want to send sarah to CC lah, cause all of them start so early in the morning (8am), and my sleeping beauty masih mengorok at that time! i wanna wait till next yr then send her to N1, some places got Nursery classes from 11am-2pm, which is better for her. so i thought this yr just send her to enrichment class can lah. and if she enjoys it can continue for another term.

eh this morning susah tau nak wake her up! i tried from 8am, she buat bodoh only! then finally jus before 9am i told her "wake up! wanna ma mam or not?" terus she bangun and say "mamam"! aiyoh....
 
Lani, for e $450 pr term is quite ex la. Cos with dat amt, u cn actually send Sarah to 2 types of enrichment class. hehe... But then its up to individual la. At this age, for me, paling penting pergaulan dorang. Whether dorang dpt tgkp ape yg diajar dlm class, its a bonus la.

Si Adam kalo bole nk dia tido jgn bgn siang2! Bgn je, dgn cars dia. sejak2 nie kemarot dgn crite Cars by Disney. Dia le sit down n watch the full story. Pas tu nap bgn continue lagi. Le faint!

yalor, i also think quite ex, but i was complaining to hubby that she seems bored at home, so he said just sign her up for 1 term 1st then see how lah. so far 2 lessons, she only seems to enjoy the snack time, play time and music/sing/dance time....story-telling she tak suka sangat, maybe she don't like the way the teachers tell the story lah. see lah, if towards the end of the term she still not really into it, then i won't continue, no point wasting my money. i might as well "conduct" the class with her at home, esp if she only likes to play, snack, sing & dance! haha!!

sarah is also like that with her Little Einsteins dvd. EVERYDAY must watch! then some days she will watch twice! sampai now even my maid dah hafal all the dialogue and songs lah! sp she will say/sing it with sarah. haha!!
 
Lani, kalo dia suka music/songs/dance, y din send her for KM? Dulu u say carry her tiring, now she can walk, its better pe. But personally, i tak suka sgt dgn KM cos macam nothing interesting la. setakat normal music n dance. Rasa2 buat sendiri pat rmh lagi baik.

JG is a gd experience la. U pi, u learn pas tu 'conduct' the class dgn sarah sendiri. Lagi enjoyable. hahaha.. Nie la i buat sama adam pat rmh. Mcm bln nie, kite nye theme on Myself so buat la apape bende dgn theme nie. Jimat sikit.

you read my thoughts exactly! just yest i was thinking maybe i can sign her up for KM next term, but then i kept thinking it's only sing/dance/play music, i'm sure me and my maid can do it with her at home right?

and abt JG also. i will learn wat they do and then after march i can do with her at home lah! actually i already bought quite a few arts/crafts bks for tods, etc, maybe can start using those soon...

btw, do you know which library got a good range of tod bks? i went to tampines branch like nothing like that...

U can try Jurong East. The kids library at the basement is huge! The whole floor is for kids. Gt plenty of tables n chairs oso. But I oways go CCK library. Too far to go there. Besides hb dun share our passion for reading la.

Alternatively, kalo nk buy books for Sarah, cn go to the bookstore yg i rekomen pat Bras Basah tu. I oways go there to buy books for Adam. Very affordable. Worth gg. Adam loves to flip the books tt we buy for him. Of cos, he got his own fav bks tt he oways insist tt I read to him.

Eh, thread nie da jadi kite nye personal thread la. Mak2 lain busy gaknye? Celebrat CNY? :p

Bedok Library's toddlers collection is not bad. But the books may not be in good condition. Not too sure about marine parade lib. btw where did you get the little einstein dvd? Thought of introducing something else to Amaar other than the purple dinosaur. Once he watches Barney, mcm kena pukau. Mommy call pun dia tak dengar.

Has Adam starts the classes at Edufarm? How is it? I'm still on the list but cannot start yet as there are not enough students. Thought of putting him with Talent Plus instead.

the very 1st Little Eisntein's dvd we bought was from JB, you know lah, that "kind" one...it's got 3 episodes. my dd is hooked on it! so i bought the remaining 2 more dvds from amazon lah, they cost ard S$25 ea. s'pore cannot find Little Einstein's dvd, so must buy from amazon.

Sharf was in JG for only 1 term. He got bored with the whole thing week after week so eventually took him out. I got tired sending him there, instead of enjoying it, the whole session became running ground for us!! With regards to library, hv you tried the library at Tampines Blk 938? I think most books there are meant for toddler to older kids. But they are open only at 4pm on weekdays as PCF are using the library to conduct their 3 sessions of 2 hrs each pre nursery program.

yes it's the one showing on Disney Playhouse at 1.30pm. my dd LOVES it!!

so far i still can't tell if my dd enjoys her JG class or not...will see after a few more weeks. if i don't see her having much interest in it, then i will not continue for term 2. no point wasting my hubby's money.

eh, i didn't know blk 938 got library!! what library is that? is it by NLB? if open at 4pm then close what time? anytime after 4pm is fine with me cause my dd usually wakes up ard 4.30pm from her nap. maybe i can bring her there at 5pm and be home before dinner. btw, is it very crowded? it's those under the block type is it? where is blk 938 ah??

mademoiselle, the bookstore open till abt 5pm tau. tingkat 3? lupa la, tp same level dgn Popular. dia pat hujung skali. Kalo naik delivery lift kuar je le nmpk. Adam blum la. Dorang, pat edufarm tu tak kol balik. Service tak baik la, so i leave it at that.

Yes it is by NLB for Children,opens at 4 & closes at 9pm if I'm not mistaken.
Normally I went at ard 5-7pm,tak crowded. I like it there pasal tak ramai so I can hv some quiet moment with ds and its quite spacious too. But dont expect it to be so spacious mcm padang bola la eh..It's located exactly under blk 938, by the side of the road. The entrance faces a carpark instead of the road. There's a bus stop by the road n an ATM machine nearby. The bus stop is actually few stops away frm interchange.
Hmm ah..not sure if u knw abt the blk tht sells juadah kueh pada bulan puasa yr after yr..ah the library kat blk sebelah jer..
Hope this helps..I really cant think of a landmark whc leads to tht blk!!

I guess I have to subscribe to Disney Playhouse and let him watch it there first. We don't watch much of the cartoon channels so it's quite frustrating that you have to subscribe to the kids group before adding on the disney playhouse.

Sad to say, I'm a working mom. Staying in the east, Bedok-Kembangan area.

i think i started making it a daily habit for my dd when she was ard 12mths old. now she brushes her teeth everyday morning and night.

it's good to start early, cause then your son will get used to brushing his teeth and will not make a big fuss when it's REALLY time to brush his teeth properly (ie. past 12mths). because i was consistent and made sure it became a daily routine for my dd since 12mths, she now knows that brushing teeth is part and parcel of her daily bath routine, and she will obligingly open her mouth for me to brush all her teeth. after i'm done i will let her have the toothbrush and she will proceed to brush her teeth herself! hee...

remember to make brushing teeth a fun activity for your son hor, so that he will enjoy it.

spring clean for what? nobody comes my place for chinese new yr. sarah baju dah beli! merah mak ngah!!! me and hubby don't usually buy new clothes, we just wear whatever we have in the wardrobe, esp for me, since i got so many new clothes haven't worn yet. so don't waste $$.

I am currently making a choice for ds whether or not he shld be in montessori approach..MU might need ur expertise on this..
I hv compiled all the pros n cons but still can decide..hw...

cos tak pernah teach dlm montessori b'ground. i rasa its up to individual la, tp for me, tak brape berkenan la. cos budak2 mcm buat keje sendiri gitu. takde interaction. kalo bdk2 tak le solve mcm ne? at least kalo yg skola biasa, ada jgk small grp teaching, whereby dorang blajar antara satu same lain. ada jgk co-operation, teamwork etc. then i slalu tgk yg montessori nie slalu env sunyi sepi je. hehe... tu pendapat i la.

no lah, haven't gone there yet, no time!

i also not too keen on montessori approach. dunno why lah, i just tak berkenan sangat, esp with their free-play concept and the way they discipline kids. also, i heard that kids trained with montessori approach often have a hard time adapting to s'pore Pri sch system.

next yr i will just send my dd to N1, most likely a church kindergarten, cause those are 3hrs long and quite cheap. my siblings and i all also went to church kindergartens. my dd may go to the same one i went to.

my SIL is doing an early childhood diploma. dia kata, her lecturer said that montessori kids will face problems adapting to a structured environment.

i agree with you. i was surfing the net looking for a preschool for my dd, and i saw one montessori-based pre-sch, and when i read their curriculum, it says for 1-1.5hrs each day the child is free to do what he/she feels like. i was like, "what??". but these kids are 2.5-3.5yrs old leh! you leave them to decide what they wanna do for half the sch day? and the fees also not that cheap! so wasteful - you send your child there for 3hr nursery/kindergarten class and half the time they are left to do their own things.
 
Hi all!

Has been very busy lately with registering Amaar for his school. That time we were driving to the Telok Kurau Park and we stumbled upon Nur Kindergarten at lor J Telok Kurau.
He started his first day today. So far so good. No separation anxiety. He seems to enjoy it too!
What I like about this school is that they have a big compound for them to run around.
We'll see how it goes.

I wanted to check out the book store last sat with Amaar, but when I reached City Hall, it was raining cats and dogs. Ended up shopping at marina square!!

how old is amaar? so good ah he got no seperation anxiety! i worry abt my dd when she goes to N1 next yr. i know she will have seperation anxiety from me. now already in her JG class if i happen to be standing behind her and she can't see me, she will start shouting "Mummy! mummy! where are you?!"....
