Advice needed: Application for citizenship

Hi,
Anyone know if i (singaporean), married to Malaysia, choose to give birth in SG but register baby birth in Malaysia, can i just bring the certificate of live birth to register in Malaysia?

Or must i bring the baby along?

Assuming you are registering in Peninsular Msia, what you need to bring is listed here: http://www.jpn.gov.my/en/servicebirth-peninsular

You may ask your hubby to call them to double confirm.

If baby is born in Singapore, he/she will automatically be singaporean, Malaysia will not grant citizenship to baby when he/she is singaporean. When is your due date?

if you give birth in singapore, u need to get it register in malaysian embassy

hi, as i know, you need to give birth in Malaysia in order for your baby to get MY citizenship. after that, you can bring him/her to ICA to get SG citizenship. this way, baby will have dual citizenship till he/she is 18

hi jo, as one of the parent is singapore citizen, you baby will automatic become singapore citizen once born in sg. As above mentioned, unless you give birth in Malaysia & then can register baby as malaysian first then only apply for sg citizenship via ICA.
