Dual citizenship for new-born

Hi, we are expecting a child to be born in SG hospital in 2025. To prepare in advance, wanted to ask about the dual citizenship for new-born.
The father is a Singaporean(By registration) and mother is a Malaysian(SG PR).

We are hoping that our new born can have malaysian and sg citizenship at best so that he/she can decide which is best for him before turning 21.
Another alternative is malaysian citizen and SG PR?

I have no idea on the viability of these options as this will be my first born.
Thanks in advance!

you can do both~! at birth register as SG citizen first, it's a lot more convenient. follow up with registration at Malaysia embassy. baby can hold dual citizenship and 2 passports until a certain age, before he/she needs to decide
