2016/07 July babies

@piglet02 my baby also started dropping his hair, and his cradle cap quite a lot. Been massaging baby oil and washing his hair everyday also not much improvement. :(

@Sa_rahhhh read this article. http://thenewageparents.com/newborn-baby-skin-problems/ My baby have rashes on both side of his face very bad. I apply coconut water 3-4x a days improve abit. His skin on the face very dry. I trying to apply nipple cream on his face yesterday night. Today look ok. Heehee

I got some aqua based cream from the Polyclinic doctor during the vaccination day. Seems to work well. It just that I'm worried about baby eating his mittens when he touch his face.

Will use coconut water, since it's edible haha. You're good, still use nipple cream, but good idea since it's moisturizing. :)

How do u all dress up when u go out? Trying to figure a way in which I can easily nurse and yet stay stylish haha!

For nursing tops, do u all insert the pads? And do you still stick breast pads inside?

I find uniglo padded camisole is best to go out. No need nursing bra.

You can wear anything over it. Tee, blouse. When you're out and wanna feed, pull down the camisole at the respective side to expose the nipple first, then bring baby to the breast before you lift up your top. It can be pretty discrete since the only exposed part is the nipple while the rest of your torso is well covered.

Hi mummies babies on breast milk if the poo is greenish yellow...more greenish than yellow is that normal? Mine has been yellow but today the last 2 poos are more greenish ....not sure is it due to food I ate or is still consider normal for babies on breastmilk

Usually greenish poop is related to foremilk hindmilk imbalance. If u r feeding ebm, usually wld not be imbalanced...

So the padded camisole is like a nursing bra but cover torso? Sounds like a great tip!

If I wear a nursing camisole, I'll skip the bra as they usually come with bra attached, but I'll insert the breast pads.
The normal nursing tops (those that u lift the flap to nurss) are good for discreet nursing also. I usually hv a sling on me, it doubles up as a cover too.

Baby started forming lip blister, I'd been suspecting lip tie for a while now - gassy, colicky, farting, taking ages to nurse, click noises while nursing....

Can anyone advise or share their experience?

Gan and candymoshi , just sharing about the poo colour

Who is fully latching here? Do u do cluster feeding?

Me. Latching on demand. And yes, I find almost every night about 10 onwards (after my shower) she will fuss and feed non-stop till I bed down and feed side lying at 1am cos we're both exhausted. But she will usually sleep for 4-5 hrs straight till it's time for her dad to get up for work at 620am.

Then cluster feed again about 8-11 or so, but not as intense as the bedtime cluster. At first I thought it was growth spurt, but it's been almost a week if this now :(

Anyone try tingkat service before ? Sigh .. Now cooking dinner as if having a war ..always stop my cooking half way to soothe baby and finally my dinner is ready and about to eat, baby cry again :(

I ordered and today is the first meal delivery.

There are trial package so I'm trying out this one first for 10days. Bestcatering.com.sg. After that I will try trial from Select and Neo Garden (the latter one not sure if have or not but will check it out). Then will decide which tastes best to continue on monthly package.

What time they delivery the dinner ? How's the first meal taste ? Nice ? Hee Hee

My bb sometimes does that during sleep however just cries quite soft with a very sad face. Just for awhile. I think should be nightmare lor.

Oh btw, she is starting to smile back yesterday when i play with her. Not all the time but she's beginning to :):)

The website says 3pm-7pm (and they only deliver dinner; no lunch). I'm not sure exactly what time it was delivered for the first day but when my husband was back home at 545pm, the food was already hanging by my main door outside. Still a little warm so I reckon maybe about 4ish-5pm.

Taste wise is quite ok. Here's the spread.

We are small eater so got leftover for my lunch next day. You can opt to pay for rice but I cook my own brown rice instead. Else will cost $5 per pax for white and $10 per pax for brown. This is for 10-day charge.

Me fully latching on demand also. What is cluster feeding?
Cluster feeding is when the baby feeds many times in a time interval like 7-10pm.

Past 2 nites my bb has been doing this cluster feeding thing, latch 1hrly. And I also observed he sleeps longer. 3.5hr-4hr after this cluster feeding period.

Subsequent feeding he last 3hr and 2hr...

Make me wonder, last time he fussy from 7-10pm is it bcos he wants me to feed him? I din feed him and tried to drag the timing to 2hr and put him down. No wonder he cry and fuss. New discovery every day!

My supply seems to have dropped cos I only pumped once a day for past 2 days. Still considering if I Shld up my pumping game.

I ordered tingkat for lunch during my ML w no1 and now also for no2. I can't cook and I will end up w instant noodle every day I think.

My MIL will cook dinner and then it wld be packed to my place. Sad to say I enjoy tingkat food more than my MIL cooking. But cannot complain, she helps me w my no1 and cooks homecook stuff for me.

Ur bb's cluster feeding timing seems good, helps him to sleep thru the night.

My bb's timing is 7-10 or 6-9pm... Sleep until 1am, then subsequent 4am, 6am, 9am... Wants me to wake up more at nite haiz...

Hi who do u order from for tingkat lunch?

For number 1 I cooked myself ...nightmare

For this bb, I ordered 7 days of confinement lunch from natal essential for weekdays ...expensive but can't find lunch tingkat. Last few dinners, my mum has been cooking for me and sent to me. I prefer Homecook coz somehow tingkat after a few times , the taste seems to be the same for me.

My supply is dropping too coz due to inconsistent pumping...sometime drag as much as 6-7 hours.

You are feeding on demand, shld be ok coz wld meet the baby needs.

I tried to order from Catering express and Empire. Sent them enquiry but they dun deliver to my area.

I am using Jessie Catering now. Not much choice because not many tingkat suppliers do lunch, 1pax and deliver to my area. As long as I'm fed!

For those who shared your LOs grunt and squirm in the night sleep, are they still doing it? Mine still does and I'm beginning to worry if there's any respiratory concern. She usually does that only when in deep sleep like 2-3hrs after falling asleep. Wondering if I should bring go to pd to see what she says.

From what I read, it's normal. Bb is developing and all these grunts, stretches are part of growing pains, my aunt says it's a good sign that bb is healthy. As for cries, smiles and frowns during sleep, apparently it is the bb brain and emotional development during sleep, cycling thru the different phases and emotions that will help bb in the future.

So unless bb shows other negative signs like lethargy, no output, doesn't want to feed, I do not think is cause for worry....

As for grunts, I usually listen to bb lungs, if clear then I check her nostrils. Sometimes, I will even block one side to listen. If seems congested, I use pigeon suction thingy to draw out any snot, then clear outer nostrils with fine cotton bud. Very satisfying to see large boogers lol

If not clear, then of cos bring to pd. But usually will be clear, wheezing or bubbly will usually be accompanied by coughing and phlegmy sounds. Quite obvious de.

@redvel yes, my baby is still grunting and straining at night when he sleeps. I read from some articles that it is normal for them and like what @snowfern says, it's part of their developmental process. Occasionally I will check whether it's due to breathing problems, but other than that, I think it's fine. Don't worry too much!

Thanks ladies. I start to google and read it's normal. There's even YouTube clips that show similar grunts from infants. My lo is still sleeping n drinking like normal. Will also check for nostril blockage everyday.

Ok worry too much mummy here.

I just bring my baby for 1mth jab n doc assessment at polyclinic. I checked with the Doc is normal. Not to worry. Unless they sound like having breathing problem.

Do you have to wait long at polyclnic?

Wondering if my first 6 in 1 is with pd can the subsequent dose do it at poly

Yes u can switch to Poly if you want.

My no1 did 6in1 and pneumococcal and rotarix at 3mo after he cleared jaundice. Need to vaccinate him b4 placing him in the IFC.

Subsequently we took 5in1 and the rest of the jabs at Poly... Make ur first appt online and the next appt can be fixed on the spot. My no1 just did his 2yo check and jab! No cries, so brave!

Then maybe try panda delivery for lunch. Order n delivery..

I used food panda delivery for all my weekend lunch needs when I was heavily pregnant and taking care of no1... Abt $15 per order as u need to meet min order and pay abit of delivery charges...

Abit costly but too much hassle for me to leave the house previously...

Dry one will drop out by itself... The suction bulb is more for wet mucus that is obstructing ur LO's breathing.

I tried to use it a few times, baby sounded very blocked but suck 不出 anything... So I just wait for it to flow out and wipe..
