I remember reading someone says place your hand around the bikini region when you are lying down and still, you may feel the baby's movement. I did just that last night, before going to bed and I thought i felt a burping sensation, like a bubble gurgling sort of feeling at the lower abs where the triangle piece of bikini would sit on you. It was like a split second and could have been missed if i wasnt focusing. Just that one time, no repetitions thereafter.

Wondering if that could be baby's movement? :)

Ohhhh. . Thanks! Last night I got a straight 5 kicks. Witness it and hubby saw it too.. after that no more.
Wow! Witness it? As in you could actually see the movement across your stomach? How nice is that!!

My friend said she could see the fingers movement sometimes, gliding across, that was during her last trimester. It's such a magical sight.

I think Thomson medical also provides confinement ting kat . You can check

For those considering infant care but have yet to register a place, I would suggest to very quickly do so coz like a few mummies to be here, i'm already placed on waiting list despite wanting a place only in Dec. 2015 not open for registration yet but waiting list will auto get into 2015, with priority given.

I'm now starting to scout for more places and hoping to get more secured placement.

Initially had wanted to wait till past 22 months, after the genetic scan to be sure of things. But I now understand really cant wait...

I intend to get a child care near my place when baby is 18 months, to my horror, I'm 250 on the waiting list ... Sigh

Hihi i went to my 1st skool n the person in charge ask me to wait for 2 yrs or more..

try registering on their website. u never know u might get lucky.

my boy is in MFS. I registered thro website when I was 7mths pregnant & thankfully managed to confirm a slot in infant care when he was 2mths old. hopefully this 2nd one got priority & can confirm a slot earlier, else I ......

errh how do u intend to settle ur meals then if no CL & no confinement catering? abit tough to handle bb, cook & rest at the same time?

I used natal essentials during my first confinement. food is good & portion a lot. even my hb enjoys the food. I'm getting CL this time & hb is lamenting that he can't get to eat the vinegar pig trotters from natal essentials again this time. hahah.

I heard good reviews abt thomson medical confinement catering too.

Sorry to ask a silly question but if put the baby in infant care, possible to go without a maid?
I also have a toddler in childcare

I think it's possible.. but will be very tough ba.. imagine both sick at the same time.. :(

I'm currently working, my boy is 26mths & in child care (was also in infant care), & I've no maid. I send my boy to cc alone in the morn. my mum picks him up in the evening & cooks his dinner while the the rest of us eat tingkat (mum also working). everyday got lots of laundry & bottles to wash, pack his bag, toys to pack, general cleaning, etc etc. with 1 still ok, me & hb can take turns to do housework & look after him. but think it'll be tough with 2. intend to send #2 to infant care AND get a maid to help with the daily housework & cooking. the plan is to get a FT maid for 2yrs, then PT maid after that. it'll be tough financially, but at least help preserve our sanity.

Booked alr.... Actually if you can have this option, do consider engaging CL especially of it's your first... Or no one helping.

Most of my friends who engaged CL never regretted the decision , provided u got a good one. They say can really get plenty of rest and CL can helped a lot during this 1 month...

I had bad experience with CL during my confinement last time. This time will hire a maid and order confinement tingkat. But have to pray hard that we can get a good maid.

@kopibeanie my mum will be helping with the confirnement food, but more like things i eat. I dun really know how to enjoy Chinese Cuisine, thus dun like confinement foods.. mum will cooking for to my liking, but i feel like i should do my confinement proper this time round. I will also be getting a helper, hopefully a good one. :)

I think our dizziness is related to blood sugar that's why after eating sweet stuff will ok.. u might wan to check with gynae when u see her the next round

related to blood sugar mah? I eat le still the same.
I google and got some website say it is maybe also bcos the uterus may put pressure on your blood vessels, which reduces blood flow to your brain.

Anyway am going to see my gynae this evening and see what he say

I guess so for my case. somemore nowadays got this flu virus going round.

I met my gynae just now and I asked him abt it.
He say it is pretty normal and said infact as time goes, all these will be more serious like backache, dizziness etc.

Very sad. I had mild spotting on thurs. Then went to see gynae on fri. Did some tests n results state today I kena bacteria infection. Sigh.
Hope it won't affect my baby... :(

Its okay one.. pregnant woman are more prone to v infection cos of more discharge. Antibiotics will help. DONT WORRY.!

@luvyz - I think it's good that your gynae can identify the reason for the spotting. Just put up legs more, and finish the drugs and also eat healthily to stave off the bacteria. I have been having spotting throughout, and my recent episode is 2 days ago and gynae cannot explain why bleeding. Think have to take it easy :)

Hi Seaturtle, as long as bleeding isnt from the baby/placenta/amniotic fluid, it should be fine. I had a forum friend who experienced the same as well, and there was no traces of bleeding from any of these sources. So gyane put it down as possibly bleeding due to too much force used when passing motion. If i didnt get the wrong info from her.

How many weeks are you now?

Best to minimise movement, and if you can afford to take mc or leave, stay home to rest. Otherwise, keep movement to the bare neccesity, and rest well at every chance.

Pray that bleeding will go off and everything is great going in you!

Hi Waiwish thanks for your encouragement :). Gynae said it could be due to placenta but he can't tell from U/S. I also don't know why sigh. He said so long not soaking up 1 pad it's ok.

I do know I tend to get it if I overstretch myself physically such as going to work or having very packed schedules. Am trying to put legs up more often also. Getting me very jittery to see fresh blood bleeding but guess this is my own pregnancy challenge.
