Hi ladies.. finally settled down at home and yes, my elder one will be back at her cc again! She has been a little cranky over these weekends, and I'm looking forward to have some peace when she goes school.
Going back to pd for review for bb's jaundice level. But looking at her.. think the jaundice level has went up despite 2 days of sunbathing.
Finally getting my milk supply coming in in day 5. So worried I will have no bm for bb2 cos she hasn't been latching well for past days.
Guess what.. I tot cl will usually sleep early. But my cl at this hour still chatting on phone. My hb is considering of changing the cl. Cos her cooking cmi and she's a bit slow in doing things and taking instruction. From changing diapers to cooking lunch.. bb poo for 2 hrs still never change. And I nv had my breakfast today and only had lunch at 2pm.. but where to find a replacement cl now? But there are things impleased with her. She din complaint when I requested for cup feeding, and she wont overfeed the bb. My last cl for #1 will try to feed and feed my girl during the night feed.. claiming bb ask for milk. This cl, she said if bb fall back ti sleep and no fuss, she wont feed. Scared their small tummy cant take it.

Think hard to find replacement for cl now, maybe an try to hv a talk w the current cl to share some of the expectations? Think prev cl was worse for trying to feed and feed... My friend had 1 similar encounter too and the cl fed till baby vomit! Quite scary!

I've just given birth yest noon. Baby is huge! She weighs 3.63 kg.
Here's my birth story:
I had some contraction the night before.. Started at about 2 am, it was about 2 hours interval.. N I was always awaken by the pain.. Thinking that it might be a false alarm, I went back to slp.. At about 7am, I felt something dun seems right cos the pain is more frequent and it's more painful. After much consideration, we decided to send my elder daughter to my parents' place before heading to the hospital...
We reached hospital at about 12pm and when the nurses checked on me.. I'm already 5cm dilated! They were all very amazed that I still can be so calm.. I tot since I can bear the pain till 5cm, I wanted to be a heroine and not take epidural one.. But my hubby insisted that I take.. If not later too pain cannot push and cannot take epidural already.
To cut the long story short, I took epidural and pushed for about half an hour... and delivered at 4 plus pm.
Jia you all the mummies to be! You can do it!

Hi all, my breast is very hard and i try to pump. But v little milk, slightly less than 10ml. Did u freeze it and warm it up later for bb or juz dispose it away? I also hv problem latching her cos of wrong positioning i guess.

Sounds like u getting engorgement. U try to massage ur breasts before u pump. As u pump, use ur hands to squeeze hard to try to expel ur milk. Every drop is precious. Dun waste it. Dun freeze or throw away. U can place it in the fridge & try to feed to bb using spoon or syringe during next feed.

Hi courgeous, u shld be having breast engorgement.. Try massaging it using hot water (placed the water in a bottle and rolled it over your breasts).. Might help.. Try to massage b4 pumping.. If it is painful, u can also use ice cubes b4 and after pump to ease the pain.. Whatever u have expressed, let baby drink.. Supplement the difference with formula.. The initial one is colostrum.. Very good for baby.. Jiayou!

May be can try cup feeding? JTS, KKH nurses tell me that if bb can latch well and the hv good sucking reflex it is ok to just use bottle feeding if u are expressing ebm. But if not latching well, better to do cup feeding till they can latch well then use bottle feeding. Jia you!

for those who cant wash hair, get ur hb run over to pharmacy to buy dry powder shampoo! i dunnoe if it works for everyone anot, cos i will be trying it for the first time too..

I went for my week 35 check last Sat, did CTG, and GBS. noted some contractions and my baby is 2.7kg and gynae said his big is quite big. Gynae did VE to check whether if my bone is big enuff to go thru natural birth anot. oredi felt pain. now having second thots on going for VBAC. lol! So i very admire mummies who went thru VBAC and VBA2C!
Mummies who had tried pethidine and epi before, any difference in the pain levels? Will still feel pain with Pethidine? haha.. i m oredi thinking of trying without pain relief after reading so mummies managed to go without. but then with this small little VE, i m oredi cannot really tahan, so i want to plan my pain relief liao. lol! anyway, i have to tell my gynae if i want to go for csect anot, by the next check on this Sat. if go for csect, will be on my week 38, which is last week of this month!
Oh yah.. i m second time mum, but first time going for natural, how to know if i dilated oredi anot? some of u mentioned, subsequent birth will be faster, but mine considered as first time right? haha.. how to tell?

I'm second time mum but I suffer close to 31 hrs contraction becos I go induce. Have contraction but dilation comes late.
At first I wanted thigh injection but already 3 cm dilated so doc dun allow thus I only rely on the laughing gas. Did not use epidural as I dun want side effects. It was quite unbearable but I tahan till birth.

Induce is like waiting game , have contraction but still need to wait for dilation.. Laughing gas is nothing leh, dun feel its working.
Gals how much milk can u all pump for the first week after birth? Mine is still not coming in ... Everyday drinking papaya soup

Look like we have the same symptom. Had a false alarm last sat night. Feel asleep while waiting for hubby to come home to take me to hospital. Wake up feel better so only rest at home...

Sorry has been MIA for the past 3 days, was discharged from hospital with bb on Friday, has been coping with bfing, woke up 4-5times every night to bf bb..
Question to mummies,
How long does the lochia last normally, is discharging large clot normal? My tummy has not been feeling well since two days ago and was so scare to see the big clot discharge
when I go to pee. Pls advice, thank you!
Btw, canopyhaze, my baby girl was born on 2nd Jan instead of 3rd. Pls kindly update the data. Thank you very much!
