(2011/01) Jan 2011

Hi Gwen,

Dun think too much. Just go through the D&C and take good care of yr body. Then you can try again in 1 to 2 mths time.

My sis also went through this but after tat, she got pregnant and now a mother of 2.

From wat I read through internet, this happen when the pregnancy already had a problem from the start. So, your baby probably wanna let you know sooner to end this whole thing.

It's better to be earlier than when you reach yr 2nd trimester and it will be more sad in a way. I had a fren who had to do an abortion during her 20th week as her baby's heart was not fully form. But anyway, she's now a happy mother of 2 also.

So, watever fated to be yours, it will be... Just dun be too sad..

Gwen, so sorry to hear that. But whatever it is, you must remember that it is no fault of mummy. There is nothing you can do and nothing you could have done to prevent it. It is just nature's selection. Take good care of yourself and keep your spirits up ok?

Gwen, it happened to me in March this year, no heart beat and DC, I was very very sad......and now got BFP after one cycle. 11 weeks plus now and everything is good. Keep faith and take god care of yourself.

Hi Gwen

I do understand what you are going through and no words can console u at this point of time. I have been through this in Mar this year and my bb was discover with no heartbeat at 19weeks and i have to deliver him out. I know this is devastating. I tried again after my 1st cycle and I am 8 weeks plus preggy now.

Be strong and take care. If u need someone to talk to u can always PM me

Hi Sherill & Mitch,

So sorry to hear tat it happen to both of you also. Tat shows tat it's actually a very common thing nowadays. I really wonder if it's the stress or age tat causes it. I dun think we heard so much of this thing in our mother's generation.

I'm sure both of you will hv a smooth pregnancy this time round. Take good care and you all could see yr baby soon in Jan2011.

thxs daphne ... mine is due to a condition known as APS and is only found out recently during this preggy so thx God there is something i can do to "protect" this preggy

Gwen.. be strong.. happened to me twice and yes.. no words can describe it though i have kids already at the point of time... but i saw the positive way that my gynae told me.. it's nature way of letting the baby go if its not growing and forming well.. so its god way to help us in a way... thinking of that made me let go in a way... hearing me and a few others here who had the same experience and got preggie again!! be positive u can be soon too and will join other threads very very soon... do keep us in the loop though... i pray for ur well being and be strong babe!!take care

mitch.. wats APS.. u are a strong mummy that coz u had to deliver him/her out... i pray for ur well being too for now

IDAARSHAD thxs for your prayer for me. APS is called antiphospholipid syndrome = Sticky blood. I ahve to be on anticoagulant throughout my preggy so i have to jab myself once daily clexane and take one tab of aspirin.

Gwen, Be strong and Take care.

Try again after your body recover. Good luck!

I thought it maybe good to read up a bit to understand miscarriage. I felt depressed and helpless after i lost my baby during my first pregnancy also. After reading the articles on miscarriage, i felt alittle relief. i thought luckily nature is smart enough to filter out "defect" eggs in our early stage...

Mitch, you really poor thing to have to jab yourself everyday. you are really great mama. All the Best to your pregnancy.

Hi Gwen, stay strong! Take care of your body after the DC and rest well after that.

Mitch: you are really a strong mummy. Can't imagine what will hap to me if I had to go through that.

admires all mummies out there.. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

gwen, take care, be positive and rest well.

Hi Daphne>> Saw your post under TTC 2011 thread. Can I ask how you realised that you were preggie while still breastfeeding? Did your menses return after delivery of your 1st child?

Hi Anastasia,

My menses return 2 mths after my boy was born even though I am still breastfeeding.

So, when I missed my menses, I got a feeling tat I am pregnant and I tested positive.

Hi Daphne>> Thanks for your feedback! My menses has not returned after I delivered my son, so quite hard to know whether I'm preggie again, except to do test...Thanks again, and all the best for your current pregnancy!

Hi mummies,

Did my d&c yesterday, but did not do it in Thomson. I went to JB to do it as i am a Malaysian and it only cost me RM$600, unlike to do it at Thomson it would have cost me SGD$1000. Only to my suprise when the scan was done in JB i found out i was carrying twins. It really made situations worse. And both the bb's were of the same size hence i needed to be fully dialated for the surgery. The whole process of the D&C took about 2 hrs. Im still in pain and will being on confinement for about 2 weeks or so. I read on many sites after a miscarriage one will have to b more carefull and take good care of their health compared to one who goes through delivery.

Oh my gwen.... Twins.... I can feel u babe...pls take care of yrself... Everything happens for a reason babe... Be strong

hi Gwen

coconutz, I have been to docs so much because of MS and admitted several times that I am sick of going there. I just accepted the date they gave me.

babykoh: it is nuchal translucency test for down syndrome.

Hi Sherill

Thanks for the clarification. My dr reccommend Oscar instead of the NT test. I wonder why, maybe i am older? 31 this year

ladies

im 11 weeks 2 days now. coming 12 weeks this sat and going for OSCAR next monday [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] hope everything is well

Hi all,

I think I should be around 11weeks but my tummy is totally flat, no cravings, no symptoms, no MS, no breast-enlargement - nothing. Still continuing my job, working as hard as ever.

My last scan i saw the bb's form with heartbeat. But just wondering will the bb just 'disappear' inside your body?! I do not feel pregnant at all. Scheduled for first-trimester scan (whatever that is) late june.

Anybody feels the same way i do?!

Hi babykoh,

I'm also 31 this year!... hehe... this will be my 2nd child... [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

My gynae also recommended gg for Oscar rather than NT test/triple test. He says that the accuracy is better and more detailed too. Tomorrow I will be exactly 10 weeks.

Stomach is so big.... haiz... Take MRT, people will give up their seats to me... hehe.. not complaining though... haha..

Any mummies know how much is the OSCAR test?

Thanks!

Hi,

I am new to this thread too but not new to singaporemotherhood.

I am 31 too...... and also my 2nd child. I did Oscar even when I was 29 (when I was preggy with #1). usually triple test is not recommended unless high risk?

Am in my 9 weeks or so? Can't remember, quite bochap this round but the MS feeling is stronger..... sighh... today I am feeling nauseous and giddy...........

Seems like quite a number of '79 mummies... [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/kao_happy.gif]

I think the triple test and oscar test is about the same, just that accuracy is better for oscar.

Me too.. MS feeling is stronger and always feel so tired... my first preggy not as bad as this one... sigh..

Hi,

I'm 11 weeks tomorrow. Have scheduled to do oscar scan on 1st July, 2 days right after i completed my 1st trimester. Hope for the best for everyone.

Hi Hoshi, Oscar scan will cost about 300+

hoshi your nick is familar, how old is ur number #1

I am feeling worse this thime round too and probably more tired also due to having to care for #1

My no. 1 will be 5 yrs old loh!...

hehe... my nick familiar har? prob coz i'm in this forum since the singaporebrides times... hehe...

How old is ur no. 1?...

Super tiring right!

For non-first time mummies, does your kid/kids seems to be very notti and misbehavior now? My gal is like super-notti now, and my MIL says that the kids can sense that their mei mei/di di is coming, and they will start misbehaving... dunno how true... sigh..

Hi all,

Wow, all of you almost reach 2nd trimester... I'm still in my 8+ weeks.

I'm 35 this year and this is my 2nd child. My 1st one was born last year (34 yrs old). I'm not sure wat kind of test my gynae will ask me to do this time round.

For my first child, I did the NT scan but my bb's neck was found to be too thick. So, I went for the blood test instead of amniocentesis test as requested by the counseller. I'm worried about the risk of M/C of the test. In the end, my blood test result came back as low risk. My first child was born healthy.

Hoshi : Oic I migrated from singaporebrides to here too haha. ya your post number is a lot.

My girl is coming 2plus now. When I deliver in Jan 2011, she is coming to 3 cos she is a feb baby. Very clingy and sticky to me when I became preggy [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/sad.gif]

Daphne: when is edd? End jan? Last time I read sometimes test results misleading...

hoshi

i am 31, 1st baby so extra careful. hee hee will be 10 weeks coming wed. your due on 18Jan?

I going for Oscar on 08Jul at TMC cost ard $300+

Hi apple,

My EDD is 30 Jan. Yours?

Yeah, the test results is really misleading as the risk will be much higher depending on the age. But tat doesn't mean those in their 20s will be low risk also....

My MS juz started full blown at 10 weeks... arghh does it mean it will go on for longer time ?? OR is it possible to stop at 12weeks ?

Anybody with similar experience ?

My EDD is 20Jan... But think may be earlier lor..

Hi babykoh, thanks for sharing the cost..

Think normally 1st baby, gynae will be more careful too... also it's the first time, and a lot of things also not sure... so this forum is a good place to share... [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Hi apple,

So your EDD is about 1 week earlier than mine.

Have you seen yr gynae already? Which gynae u seeing and when is yr next appt?

Daphne,

ya seen my gynae twice already and is seeing her this wed again. My gynae is DR LN SIm at TMC. She was my first born gynae too. How abt u?

For those 2nd time mummies delivering at TMC would u apply for the subseqent born incentive card?

Hi apple,

I've seen my gynae once only. Will be seeing him this fri for the 2nd time. When did u first see yr gynae when u found out about this pregnancy? Seems like yr gynae appt interval is quite close.

My gynae is Dr Benjamin Tham at TMC. He's also my first born gynae. He just switch from KKH to private practice last mth. So, this is the first time I will be delivering at TMC. Dun think I am applicable to the subsequent born incentive card...

Hi Daphne,

My Gynae also Dr. Benjamin Tham from TMC. he asked me to do the OSCAR test early july. Im still 27 years old. Is this test need to do since i read other thread that sometimes the result is misleading? or just enough to do the NT scan? Did Dr Tham advised the OSCAR test for your first baby?
