My brown discharge is gone .. Came on and off in quite huge amounts on Saturday BUT still no signs of contractions.. Sigh! Was anxiously waiting for baby to come out but think he's too comfortable inside already[IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/sad.gif] anyway today going for appointment see how [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] what's the difference between nursing bra and normal ones? Did not see my sis buying different bras when she bf..

 
white_lady, bo pian.. coz already book the package 1-2months ago.. luckily my parents went wif us and help to take care of #1.. else i think i faint there.. keep wanting us to carry her.. after that experience, din dare to go JB or whole day shopping liao.. so tiring..



Scent, can go get the screws only? check on the manual or online manual to see the screws type and size and buy n see if it fix?

Did you like raise your legs too high liao? If causes discomfort then just slightly raise them up on one pillow will do, rule of thumb is you shd not feel any discomfort.

 
re: formula..

I think the tin got different sizes (different grams) so cost different? I know those 1800g ones cost >$40. but those 400g ones should cost ard $10++

 
scenty, don't worry, your babies are still small when you pop, so maybe can just get bassinets or borrow to standby first.. I think got pple selling 2nd hand cot too in this forum.



eeyore.. were you lying down with your head level with your body? when I put my feet up, I'm still in a sitting position, so I don't feel any blood rush to my head.

The cot bed has been purchased many years back, don't think she still remember if there's even a manual... Anyway, thanks for pointing this out, I'll try to pester her to see if she remembers where she purchase it from.... Now I'm praying hard can still find those screws before babies are out...

Scent, Nurse say mummy need to go deliver for stitching and Bb need to do checkups. If everything finish within an hr think can save the delivery ward charges.

Nurse also say if deliver outside of hospital, jus use a clean towel to wrap Bb, make Bb cry and go hospital immediately.

My Mum ask me to bring a clean towel with me when I go out.

Doc give me pills to insert into viginal everynite for 10 days

 
eeyore, I see, maybe thats why.. I don't really sleep with my legs raised up. I only put up my legs a few hours a day while sitting upright.

i also slept with my legs raised up at night but the next morning, the pillow will end up on the floor... heheheh.. ;p

pricing for milk powder at Malaysia is indeed much cheaper than those at sg. Sg milk powder price really cannot tahan. Too expensive liao. Heard their formula slightly different but think many parents go JB buy milk powder to save cost.

can try to buy screw from outside shop. As long as can secure the cot can oledi.

baby eat poo poo n cause such serious consequences, even get compensation oso no use oledi. I think as parent we only wan our baby grow up happily n healthy but not hav lots of $$$, suffer life time.

woah.. took me 1 hour to read thru weekend archives.. I still got 5 more days to work.. but hope its really 5 more days..



cos weekened saw gynae.. "scolded" me again cos bb put on 400g, now 3.4kg at 37 weeks. Quite big liao.. so i told him, "Doctor, I had been eating salad for 2 weeks leh".. and my weight gain was only 200g, but bb put on twice more than me.. haha.. until gynae oso nothing to say.. then he say "bobian liao.. ur gal wants to continue absorb so much, there is nothing all of us can do already".. Haha.. so 1 more week of salad for me to maintain bah..



BB head down liao.. so he say within the next 7 to 10 days bb shld be out.. but i hope she can be out by this Sat bah..

Pekkle: I woke up at 6 plus while hubby preparing to go work, ask him make milk for me drink so aft drinking the milk chat w him awhile, he left to work I go back zzz agin then I wake up already 10 plus liao. Hehe! Need to draw blood for my cs on wed? I tink so???

if poo, i will use wet wipes to wipe first. if his bottom is not so red, i will leave it alone. if it's red, i will apply a thin layer of desitin cream.

i also never signed up for any antenatal classes before, just that i'm 2nd time mummy so know slightly more.

yah.. have to eat salad everyday.. oso drink soup lor..(ownself boil fish soup bring to work).. cut down almost 90% of carbo.. even bread i change to wholemeal.. one day max 2 pieces and eat only if hungry.. else eat cereal.. no sugar stuffs. =(

yah.. she is really big.. so i hope she can tahan till this sat.. and if she not coming out.. might consider induce her le.. else i scared she really grow too big for me to go natural.

 
Singapore's baby formula e.g. Enfa are made in the Netherlands, those in Malaysia are made in Thailand. The texture is clearly different, so is taste and quality i feel.

 
littlepiggy, ur baby is big... u are going natural delivery right? hopefully she can come out faster then. i hope my girl will arrive soon also, scared too big hard to push out.

Go hardware shop to find the screws. Should have the correct one there. If you know the cot brand, maybe can call up the supplier to buy.

I was thinking to get new slippers but hor.. only wear a few wks then no use loh. After that, the feet will go back normal size.

My bb also extended breech. Doc says must c-sect cos unlikely to turn anymore.

I just finished my gruelling 1st week with my newborn! Breastfeeding is still very tough for me despite this is my 2nd time... Got no milk for first 4-5 days... Can only pump 1ml, 5ml. End up, at 5am, baby cry and cry and cry, I asked my hb to locate a 24 hr supermarket to buy 1 tin of FM. Thankfully on day 7, I can pump 50ml liao.....



So.. if u haven't buy 1 tin of FM to stand by, please do so ah... if not, may end up 5am like my hubby to go buy FM. :p



huffpuff: The brand I bought is Nestle Nan Pro 1 for FM. 5 years ago when I had my #1, the nurses told me that this milk brand is more similar to breastmilk so I still bought this brand now.



pekkle: Yeah I also heard the same as suika ie FM bought in Msia is slightly different in ingredients fr that sold in Singapore...

If we do c-sect, the milk won;t come in so soon rite? So we feed formula in the meantime? The hospital will feed rite? Can we request them to do cup feeding (me delivering at tmc)?

yday i measured my waist 39inches le tink it's week 36. forgot to measure on week 35. anyway i in mid position. haha.. but feel sad leh. most ppl said i'm fatter this time.. haiz. v scare cannot slim back to prepreggie size..



me too... so tiring... been having broken slp.. awake at 4am duno for wat.. few nights already..

no lar.. not great.. i cant tahan oso.. imagine, i can only put little bit of sauce to make it slightly more tasty.. else i will oso.. EEEE... yah.. so sometimes i will bring 2 portion of salad.. so that once hungry will eat lor.. at least something not sinful. Else will grab apple to eat..

yah.. doc quite shocked that bb put on so much even after controlled diet.. so.. haiz.. but even not accurate.. oso around 3+kg le.. Cos cooking ownself no MSG mah.. and less salt and carbo, so can oso help reduce water retention. My mum say might be our genes.. cos my younger sis when born was 4kg.. and i peifu my mum cos she did that naturally without epi..

 
Actually hor, our own sg food also will have problems. See the N&N eggs. I have to throw away all my 10 eggs bought from NTUC jus becos of the incident. So I'm now thinking m'sia eggs might be even better then sg bah. I always tot food manufactured by sg farms or factory are always better but seems not the way.

the hospital will help to feed 1st n we can request them to cup feed them, that's what my colleague told me cuz she also delivered in tmc..



which date are u choosing for your c-sect?

 
MVH - I think they can see it on the ultrasound if I'm not wrong. Can also tell from the mother's discharge or waters ( if broken) whether bb has pooed. If they see the water no longer clear, but murky, bb has poo and have to deliver immediately.



(p.s I not speaking from experience as a baby who has pooed pooed in my mummy's womb :p)

jascmy, don't worry overly. food problem will occur anywhere over the world, not only china and sg.. matter of heng or suay. If got problem the m'sian authorities would have sound an alert.



Like recently the swiss train derailed. who knows right? somemore going at so slow speed, and swiss-made, also can derailed for no reason.

I haven't chosen the date yet cos doc says next wk appt then decide. I was hoping for 3rd wk of August.. cos in time for me to which gives me some time to cut hair, buy clothes to celebrate my wedding anniversary, bb full month.

 
jasmine goh: I'm latching throughout day time and pump during wee hours at night cos I let my CL bottle feed him at night. Sometimes I also pump after a latch cos I wanna convince my breasts that bb need more milk!!



bakaholic: Milk will come in whether or not u do C-sect or natural. My fren who had C-section had loads of milk on day 3 whereas I, who gave birth naturally, had zero milk. At the hospital, the nurses will encourage u to keep latching on baby every 3 hourly to stimulate milk supply. For first 3 days, baby has enough reserves to last them so they can survive w/o milk. But after that, if yr milk hasn't come in, u may need to supplement with FM... cos if not, yr bb will be dehydrated and jaundice level will shoot up.

 
alibaba, u wake up at 4am last few nites then did u see the fire at our carpark on sat morning. Maybe u can saw who is the culprit. I wake up by the alarm then the explosion sound. Wake up and see huge fireballs out from the carpark. So scary!
