1xmummy, haha. My engine gt turbo. V hard to move. These few days even change position oso no use. Slp side way oso no use.

Calamari, I v light sleeper, so engine on, my eye oso on. Lol..
 
Ainsley, i also hv 'engine' beside me. Best, sometimes he will tell me next morning he got sore throat coz of too much snoring. Faint! Haha
 
hahaha, for a moment I tot wat is this engine sound? lol.

Anyone feed their baby with antibiotics before? my sophie has 2 bad virus in her causing her to have bad flu so PD ask me to give antibiotics starting today...=(
 
bb shae: I know its not gd but I see my gal suffer, so no choice better give. My PD did a culture test from her mucus n found 2 bad virus inside so she said better give. her body is too weak to fight off the virus now....
 
Greetings mummies!!! Got forget me anot? I miss you mummies!!!

i went to hibernate since late june. because i had the worst worst morning sickness!!! day and night vomit non stop. lost 6kg! i almost fell into depression cuz it was so tough and i still need to take care of bb keith. i cry almost everyday. everyday was so lethargic and i never step out of my house for a good 2 months unless gynae checkup. even my birks sandals turns mouldy! i totally shut all contacts. no internet, no phone calls, no sms-es, even tv time was little cuz i just dun feel like doing anything. i always feel a big ball pressing on my gastric and burping non stop 24 hrs. then, my dad fell sick, follow by my mum, bb keith, me, one sis. i had high fever of 39.5degrees. my ms was so bad that at the end of 2 months, i vomit blood. guess my gastric spoilt already. i refuse to take the anti puking pills cuz it makes me drowsy.

bb keith suffer the most. i cant carry him for long cuz he's pressing on my gastric which makes me feel like puking. i just dump him in the walker most of the time. then, he starts refusing to poo on potty and his bum had bad rash. after that was cured, he fell sick. had high fever, diarrhoea, flu, cough combo. after that waas ok, he had red spots coming out from his body. looks like rash. at the same time, he had this minor skin disease near his mouth. after after everything was over(as wad i thought), he had Shingles!!! i almost fell apart. lucky my mum found out early and was cured within a week. everything just take their turn and show up! he lost quite an amt of weight. i was totally devastated. after the Shingles was gone, my youngest sis kenna HFM disease. i went into panic mode and sanitise the whole house. she's ok now and never infect anyone else. bb keith is alright now. he's gaining weight after i change his diet. phew~

im 4mth plus with no.2. its a boy again. hehe. feeling a bit better with occassion puking tho. managed to gain 3kg. most likely will close shop cuz this pregnancy freaks me out. it was so so so tough! was considering ligation. once and for all. lol!

Alicia, my bb keith took anti biotics for the first time when he had the bad virus combo. i felt sad too but at the moment, i just want him to recover. if antibiotics is the only choice, i'll go with it. he finish that anti biotics.

Gosh..its really a tough time for you that period of time. So glad that all are well and you & your family are ok now.

btw, do you have ms for #1? this time really so bad ah...vomit blood somemore...faintz..
Do take good care of yourself and try to take in more nourish food & tonics ya!
 
alicia, my boy was on one course antibiotics when he had a bout of flu in may.
he juz started another course last sat, when his condition didnt really improve after 5 days of medication & nebuliser since last mon.

Alicia- I did when beng is ard 3mths old coz he got fever out of now where. Pd suspect is urine infection. But test report show notting...the antibodies he had to take for 2 wks lol... Touchwood .. So far .. Beng seem ok. A lot pp say I shld nt give medi to beng coz it "too much" for him.... Just take chinese herbal...But then if this can stop his fever/ sickness y not? I'm pretty sure pd expensive consultant fee is not out now where right? Has to trust their advise n experience lol
 
Alicia, don't be sad... After she recovers from this bout of illness, you can always nourish her health even after she has taken antibiotics. I think it is worse seeing her suffer.

Jeanie.. Congrats to u for having 2nd angel... Must be tough on u now .. Having to take care of urself n bb keith... My heart drop for both of u leh... Duno... Bb Keith must be wondering y mummy suddenly dun " love" him any more when u in fact not... U must had torn apart.... Sayang.... U know when last time I feel I'm going to get depression...( I have mild depression) I always try to be more open n talk more... To prevent getting serious depression mode... Hahaha... Even now as a mum... When ever I sad or frustrated ... No one turn too .. I always complain to beng... Hahaha... Well I duno it that right or wrong to complain to a bb... Well... Haiz... Aw.. Main point is- try to open up whenever u feel u are going to be depress.. A lot of pp will be bu urside to listen to u... I'm sure bb Keith will want to see his fun loving mum again

U are never alone.
Dun feel guilty, and trust yourself, mummy knows best. Maybe can start to tell Keith that he is receiving his little brother.
Do rest more and write when u have the time, yah?

hihi mummies, really really really thanks alot. im alot better now even tho im still puking at times. keith is doing well too. just that he keep getting those irritating rashes due to the hot weather.

moscato, im really closing shop cuz im very scare of being preggy again.

evonchan, dun really have time to rest cuz lil keith is active! not to mention fixing meals, housework...

shryn, erm.. for lil keith also got quite bad ms but not as bad as this time round. the blood really freaks me out. its not bloody type. its mix with the yellow gastric juice so its brown when vomited. but can taste the blood.

sarah, its realy tough. i must admit i did thought of abortion. it was way tougher then wad i expected. i dun even feel the least excited when i visit my gynae. my mood swings was terrible. i vent on my hubby, my sisters. when i switch into my 'depression' mood, im like walking corpse. when lil keith cry, i can just stare blankly at him. and i just refuse to talk. i really dunno why. but lucky, im ok now. hope you are doing well too. let's jia you together.

jesline, how's bb faith? still allergic to cow's milk? i also think ms is just a phase, so i countdown everyday for it to end. im doing alot better now. till sometimes i forgot im preggy and i keep running around. lil keith keep kicking my tummy when i try to dry him after bathe. i keep repeating lil brother inside hor! next time didi come out will kick you. lol. i'll try to online more. thanks

Karenkkl - actually before bb aurous had his teeth, I used those gauze hanky to clean his gums nia..but now as he grow older, I have difficulties brushing his teeth..sometimes refused to open his mouth..wonder what other tricks or methods to use..haiz..

Jeanie - congrads to u for the 2nd bb..I am sure that ms is a pasting phrase..u will soon njoy the rest of the pregnancy with bb kicking and all..cheers...

Sarah - I also thinking of where to bring aurous this Sunday..so boring..either shopping, wai po hs or to the park..
We only bring him out on Sundays..mountain tortise bb...was thinking of the gym that the other mummies were talking about for the birthday bash..any good recommendations for a Sunday program?

Alicia - although so far my aurous take normal medicine only, but whenever he is well after his sickness, I give him "cordyceps & pao sheng" grind into powder add to his milk twice a week for a month..then follow by once twice a month..helps to nourish him..so far so gd..
 
Cherlene- I duno leh... My hubby nt ard this Sunday n I tot of bringing out... Beng more mountain tot lol .. Sunday he only go tam pines - supermarket or food court...
Which gym u are referring ?
 
Sarah...sat u are going to the igenius right? Im going to the sun session at 1120...their sat 3pm slot fully book liao. Bringing my 2 boys for the trial. Gorgor will be going to the 3-4 yrs class and didi baby genius... any mummies interested can call them and book a slot if u have the ocbc baby bonus card or platinum credit card.
Let me know if anyone going to my timing slot k? Can meet up and say hi.

Jeannie- it alrite babe no one can explain to u why u feel this way..or y there depression... Dun feel gulity ...in fact be proud u had gone through all these... Bs I'm so glad that the abortion plan is aborted! Hahah ... I dun wan u to feel guilty in later stage... Just rem to force urself to talk n talk n talk when there sign of depression. Hahah we jia yu together yea! Big big hugz

I started feeding antibiotics to sophie yesterday, its a course of 7 days. wah she struggle like mad & I juz have to pin her down n force it inside her mouth....she manage to sleep thru the night last night. Thank God I see effects of the medicine....but hb say may cause ashma next time? quite scary....

hi everyone,its been a mad week for me as my gal was down wiv high fever for the past 4 days follewed wiv flu n cough.the fever was constantly btw 38.5-39.7!!!almost scared me to death.the fever just went away yesterday and my gal broke out in rashes.tiny little red spots on diaper area ,neck fold ,tummy ,back and face.doctor diagnosed as fake measles.lucky now the fever is gone and i know wat was causing her to have the high fever.if not she would have to go thru blood test to find out wats wrong.jus to share my experience,her fever was brought dwn wen i gav her ibrofen or paracetemol.but as soon as the drug wore off,fever came bk

even wen on medication,the fever was only lowered to 37.8 or 38.i was so worried tat her brain will get damaged.finally i gave her ling yang water on the 3rd day and managed to lower d temp to 37.2.fever came bk after 12 hrs ,still cont to giv more ling yang water and paracetomal wen fever hit.after giving the ling yang water,the rashes broke out and fever was gone. my mil said cos the western medication was suppresing my gal's fever so the rashes could not break out. so after giving her the ling yang water,the rashes came n fever was gone as the rashes were sort of like purging the heat n toxins out of her body.today is 2nd day after her rash,can see the spots moving up her body.face have a little too.hope the rash goes away soon....other den feeling cranky n xinku wen fever hits,my gal was still her usual playful self.but appetitie dropped alot and she wants to latch constanly wen fever hits.she lost abit of weight too

anny, i got menses before preggy. i stop breastfeed till 4mths then menses came back immediately. two months later, im preggy. quite fated huh.. i only BD once and i assume its after ovalution date. dunno why preggy. lol.

carol, dun worry dun worry. keith went through this phase. im sure the high fever sure freaks you out. i rem keith highest temp was 38.5 and im already in super panic mode. but my mum assures me as long as baby is active, no need to worry much. most scary is baby not active. this is a passing phase(mum assures me that me and 3 sis all got it last time). but as we're first time mummies, it'll freak us out. im sure you're heart pain to see her lose weight. cuz keith lost quite some weight too. but not to worry! after this, their immune system will improve and appetite will be better! in fact, keith got growth spurt and his feeding increases. of cuz, will put on weight! the elders says fever means baby's bones growing bigger. PD says getting sick will increase their immune system. if you're afraid she'll get way too heaty again, can give barley weekly for maintenance next time.

Alicia, maybe you can try other ways to feed her other then forcing on her? cuz she'll develop a fear to it and it'll be more difficult to feed med next time. in other words, it'll cause phobia to her. i try alot alot of ways to coax keith drink his med. i let him watch videos(from phone) to distract him, alternate using syring and spoon, sometimes let him sit or lie down, give him toys. so far he quite co-operative. when he starts to get used to one method, he'll fuss and i gotta crack my brain again. but i try not to give him phobia to drink med. antibiotics will cause asthma? dun think so bah...

take a test to find out. I have been giddy and nauseous recently and recently found out i have been super low blood pressure. Its been months and everytime before my menses come i feel faint.

Carol,
yuyu had viral fever at 7 mths old, and worst is dr ong was on leave. I brought her to a toa payoh doctor, she gave anti-biotics and next day rash come out and she confirmed viral fever. Viral fever will last for about 1 week. i will try your ling yang way if she ever kanna again. thanks for sharing.

carol: take care...glad that Chloe is well now. Don't worry. This builds up their immunity as well. My girl had fever up to 40.3 before but even hospital nurses not kan jiong lol. But i understand. As parents, we will be the most panicky.

ivy: Er...how come your toa payoh doctor gave yuyu antibiotics when its a viral fever? If i am not mistaken, only bacteria needs to be treated by antibiotics, not virus.
 
thanks everyone,my gal is alright now except for the rashes.it doesnt look itchy as but it seems to flare up wen she is hot n perspiring.

ivy,same query as calar,how come doc giv yuyu antibiotics? even wen chloe was so sick,doc ong didnt wana giv her cos still so young.and yes,stby lingyang at home for fever .its very effective. my mum and friends also told me older generation giv ling yang instead of taking western medicine.but do take note as ling yang is very very cooling,oni giv wen required or else no baby will be too liang and tis is no good for their body.

carol: yah i was crying cos of desperation man! After that I swore at the KKH nurse somemore cos they were so rough and force-fed meds to my girl when I offered to feed her myself. No choice got to go KKH cos in the middle of the night grrrrr.

so heart pain rite ,witness how dey handle ur dear gal so chor lor!!yet u cant do anything to make the fever go away. all my hubby friends urged me to go kk and i almost went lor...in d end i didnt go as her fever came down for the nxt 12hrs. i also told my hubby d nurses der v rough wan mayb can go mount alvernia instead? is it mus go kk if its middle at nite? can go other hospital like tmc or mount a?
 
calamari, i have no idea... and i did not go back to her anymore, cos she keep asking me to go back for review.

BTW for hospital i refuse to go KKH, i heard too many stories, i went to TMC/mt alvernia and call in my PD.

Carol, yes tat time dr ong on leave, so once Dr Ong come back, i quickly go back to him. But Dr Ong say could also be fake measles but he ask me to finish the anti-biotics (once start must complete i think) cos her throat is red. I also dunno why got to be on anti-biotics, it was the 1st time & only time cos dr ong never give one.

Lynn, thanks, she is doing good. Immediately next day she like nothing happen leh. Only took her 3-4 days to eat back her normal amount of semi-solids. Now... i more tired cos she is super active now.
 


Hi, just went to the doctor . But did not test cos scared to know leh. Doct took my blood pressure and found out low so this might be the reason that cause the giddy .

Really dun wan no 3 . Unless really accident no choice.
