Ivy, if ur bb awake for 2 feeds, abit too long wor. I read tat babies at this age an only stay awake for 1.5-2hrs. Thereafter will b overtired. My bb always cry for slp ard 1.5-2 hrs after feed.
The cries when she wana slp sometimes really make me v sian lor. Sigh... Carry Over shoulder oso cry. Put dwn worse, scream. Is she ever gg to outgrow this?

My Mum is working in an IFC in tampines area. She said bb only source of milk is fr bottle at IFC. So they'll eventually learn to drink. Like wat MTDT said, ur gal will learn to be independent very fast.

given no choice, survival instinct will kick in.
 
ivy, i m having the blocked ducts prob again.
tried the hot shower mthd, but didnt help.
let my boy latched on, oso didnt help much.
the breast did 'soften', but can still feel the lumps...

wanna try ur 'operation' mthd, but dunno how to go abt doing it.
 
Ling, when u shower, stand with the water spraying from behind, shoulder down to breast towards nipple and compress. If cannot clear, u try to see if u can spot a white dot.

Pauline use spot the eye (see where is the lump outlet that is blocK) Example dry ur nipple, press the lump and see where got transparent foremilk coming out from, then u can spot the outlet. If u are lucky, the white dot is at the outlet. If not u either press the white dot to surface, or be as daring as pauline, just use tweezer or needle to push the eyes area, and press, which will encourage the white dot (harden milk that block it) to come out to surface. Then u can use needle or tweezer to try to remove it.

Hi all mummies,

I read somewhere that crying can peak from 6wks onwards and hopefully simmer down by 3mths (if i didn't remember wrongly).. good luck to us all... hopefully we dun reach 3mths.

So green poo poo means too much foremilk.. thanks! my mom's theory is baby got scared so have green poo poo. hahahahahaha

and it reali dropped a lot a lot.. sigh.. hope will go back to normal soon...

ivy - will try to spot the eye later when i bathe..
 
dun understand why we always got block and engorge hor.. i clear until sian.. so quite season. If u all not sure then dun any poke haha.

Miu, if u spot the eye hor, usually the eye will have clear fluid flow out when u squeeze ur lump. Cos after u feed baby, then u push the lump, other ducts shld be milky cos its hindmilk liao, only lumps is foremilk cos tio stuck.

miuy : yar lor, I still let bb latch on my left breast but no use wan....;p.....so try massage &amp; pumping &amp; take long long time to pump as dufficult to come out....my right breast already come out 2.5times more than my left breast....;p

now unblocked but ss still damn low.. like blocked like that..
 
wow... my boy sleep for 10hrs today. last feed @ 1.45am pat till 2plus to 3am then fall asleep till 1.05pm then wake up for milk

think my rite breast has some blocked ducts for a few days le...
can still express milk frm it, but can still feel the lumps after 'draining' it leh...
&amp; of coz, with the lumps, come soreness...

mstan - ya.. it does help to unblock by latching.. but mi dun latch.. juz express.. so more difficult for me..

mummies mummies. need some advice.. i just took my son's temp, >37.5 < 38.. should i be super worried about tis?
he got a scare just now while drinking when my niece bang onto someting loud.
i had paracetamol prescribed by the doc when he went for vaccination 2 wks ago.. can i feed him with that and do i need to refrigerate the medicine?

I am oso Dec mummy, juz need some outlet to letout my fustrations. Anyone bb puts up a fight when feeding, farting, shitting, burping and sleeping? Although this is my 2nd child but his patterns is so different from my 1st one. I am mentally tired and at times feeling so helpless. He only can sleeps in my arm where I need to yao, sing &amp; pat him!!!! I am his human mattress. Feel like giving up at times and let him cry till he is satified.
 
hello kitty, my boy oso.. always cry when he wanna feed, fart, burp, sleep.. asked the PD, he said coz bb cant talk.. thus can only cry to show his discomfort.. :x
 
Genesis... me too damn shag. Hvn't take a break since morning till nw. Clean and put up the store, laundry, iron my boy n bb CNY clothes, wash &amp; sun bedsheet, bath them...etc etc etc.

Nw my back is aching ler.
 
lynn, yes my bb born on 6th dec, i went in 5th dec alot of pple in labour.. mine drag till midnight thus become 6 dec, edd was 12 dec.

miu, yes sewing needle but dun use super thin one, cos might be too sharp and painful. Cos the point is not poke our nipple, its to pick up (挑起）the harden milk dot.
 
SimplyHelloKitty, i think most of the mommies here all same as u. I also struggle with feeding with bottle now, shit sigh.. dunno is it colic, her shit not regular one. And cry and cry is so normal, me and hubby a bit sian liao, numb at times, but really stress at times too. Its ok, we all in same boat, when u really cannot take it anymore, just put baby down and let him cry a bit, calm down and then go back to him.
 
miu, do it after bb suck leh, then u press the lump, see at the nipple where got transparent liquid come out. The eye pauline mention mdm rokiah talk abt it, arbo last time i search the whole nipple for white dot. So now i press see where transparent liquid come out, means the outlet of the lump. Sometimes the white dot hard to find, so if u daring, do what pauline do, just pick the eye and press, sometimes if lucky or much pressing the white dot will surfaced. Hot shower is help to expand the eye or passage of the milk ducts to surface, which sometimes thru pressing, the white dot might shoot out, of cos its too small to spot it flying.
 
laureen, i also did to my girl many times.. cos pek chek, dunno what she crying abt. I guess they are communicating with us, but we really dunno what it is. But i find a break from them is good lah, so we can calm down.
 
miu, yeah man can kill me if spoil esp now as my ss also drop n bb dd increase so seldom freeze bm anymore... hv u tried hand express to clear lumps first then pump? works well for me...just bot a new fridge now 1st ting i see is freezer compartment good? haha

Thanks. Guess all hvg same probs and hope this phase pass soon!!!!! Worry let him cry too long will turn colicky lek. So scared being alone w/o hubby, mil cannot handle him as well. Somemore have to handle my elder dotter who is so super duperz active and now not listening to our instructions. It been almost 5hrs since his last feed, waiting for him to wake up.
 
roxy - mi always massahe as i pump.. so usually will clear all ducts.. but got 2 days.. 8 hrs then pump and the ducts too hard liao.. sigh.. oredi like 4 days... ss still damn low..
if continue will nid fm liao.. sigh..
 
Ivy, I only tried needle once during no. 1 days (I was in Shanghai and desperate) but my LC scolded me like mad cos she said I did not poke the right eye. End up that eye always squirts funny after that. :p

Roxy, my Mitsubishi fridge is so cold that there is solid ice/frosting over all my glass milk bottles, cannot even read the labels until I scrape away with my finger nails. I'm slowly phasing out the milk bottles (give to my no. 1 to drink) so that I can use only milk bags and start reclaiming some freezer space. Exp though to keep buying milk bags. :p

Anyone keen to meet at Tampines tomorrow lunch? I may be going to grab some baby laundry powder. MIL is looking after no. 1.

miu, if really very bad, call LC n ask them help u massage for u... short session only $25... walk in patients extra $10 more.. u tried using hands to express instead of pump?it works well for me when super engorged like 8/9 hours but of course after that breast bruised and hands aching...

pauling, mitsubishi so good ah? mine was panasonic, stupid fridge, died on me after 4.5 yrs, lousy!! im using flat milk bags all the way...more space saving.. im also intending to dethaw one perday let bb drink so she will not reject.. currently she dun really like frozen ebm headache... im using boots milk bag, so very cheap only... i bought 9 boxes.. use abt 2.5 box le, so more than enough somemore seldom freeze now

now e fridge i buy is hitachi, hope will be better.. just now i checked out tecno and kadeka chest freezer.. faintz its super big... so tink i will give up the idea, i dun have that much to fill up also.. maybe just distribute the frozen ebm amongs mother, in law n sis fridge, each place keep a few pkts :p
 
Roxy, yup, mitsubishi fridge is good. My mum's fridge more than 10 years liao, still going strong.

Sigh, I never go to bkk lor. If not, can buy boots milk bags. Heard they are good. I'm using Lansinoh, very siong on the pocket. Wonder if there are any BPs selling boots milk bags. :p
 
Pauline, lol, tats why if i not sure is it the correct eye, i dun poke hard, i use the needle to push it open gently.

Miu, LC at TMC cost will end up about $40 usually, depend on how fast they compress it out. But i find the way they do, painful leh, cos they just press press. Mdm Rokiah use hot compress, which open up the eye and passage then compress so shld be less painful $58.80. As for Mdm Lock-Kiah, she never register so no license to perform on you hehe.

r we allowed to reuse milk bags? Cos they have the resealer. Tot if we pour out the thawed milk then can wash n reuse?

Btw those who have yaolan, is it true bb can sleep longer inside compared to sleeping in cot/bed?
The elders r pressurising me to get yaolan for bb cos my bb likes to be carried n tend to sleep short hours in her cot..
Any advices?

<font color="0077aa">1xmummy, fer my #1 he can sleep equally long whether be it in yaolan or bed.. but fer my #2, she esily awaken when we put her down on bed thus putting her in yalan whereby she really sleep longer.. so i think it defers fer individual baby..

as fer the milk bags whether resuable.. so far i noe is use once then throw liaoz lehz.. never tried resuing before .. hmm.. </font>
