Hehe... My mum also said as long as quickly blow dry with hair dryer is fine. But my very traditional thinking mum-in-law is restricting my every movement. Wash hair cannot, wash hand also must use the herbal water. After shower must put on cardigan etc. Wah, buay tahan. Lucky she don't stay with me. She will go home during the evening. I will secretly wash my hair after she leaves.

I also wash my hair secretly every now and then. Pretend to be resting in the (air conditioned) room but actually is blowing my hair in double quick time. Good thg now year end and more windy else I will implode.

hehe paiseh dont have cos I never use, but normally people give away in the 'free section' of the forum or else heard can buy from TMC too.
 
Mt A gave me a few but not enough if I want to store in the freezer. Have to start storing in preparation for baby's increased appetite and when I go back to work.
 
Finally washed my hair and blow dry in super quick time... Feel so comfortable now

It's good to have own mother's help. Pity my mum is working and also at the same time, help to look after my #1, so she has no time to come and help me with confinement. Ya, my MIL comes everyday to cook my meals and bathe the baby. U look after your baby at night yourself? Do u have enough sleep and rest? I have panda eyes now.

my mum is cooking and looking after my #1 for me but I am looking after baby myself. Day and night. haha.. Thats why my mum said I have dark circles. And somemore that time went bk to gynae for post natal checkup, she said I got anemia (low blood count)
 
Fitti : TMC has given me about 10 glass bottles when i asked from them.

MiuMiu : Have not source for the caterer yet but i'm sure should be able to get one on New Year's Day.

Jeanie : I have yet to wash my hair since the day i gave birth (01 Dec) but i'm using dry hair spray for my hair. Quite effective.

Najmom, 1xMummy: Just done with my 1st massage with Mdm Aida. The binding and smell are bearable, but the hot oil is super super hot!!!! Almost cried when she applied onto my tummy and breast. Her massage is pretty hard, maybe i can't hard massage, gotta tahan for a while. But there is one thing which scared me off. She will made a certain sound sort of like loud burping sound when she massage me. Caught me by surprised! She has explained to me later that the sound she made was the "wind" from my body, and also she sweated a lot, and she has mentioned that was my water from my body due to water retention! Anyone encountered that??? Do massage ladies make such sounds??? Please let me know, cause i'm really scared. I've paid her SGD50 for the massage and SGD28 for the herb.
Overall, her massage is good, but i'm scared of the sound.

Anny : She has given me some pills to eat, do u eat them??? Am quite unsure to take them. And she has mentioned that you're very pretty, looked like japanese gal.
 
hee now everyone talking abt washing hair.. i also buy ta han... 2 weeks into confinement, i wash hari twice le, once a week.. just now also drove out to tmc to make bc.. if not, 14 days limit

really ah? i din know we same day heee... initially we wanted to do on 26 also... cause its exact day but based on chinese lunar calendar it's 1 day late and gals cannot do on actual day, not to mention 1 day late... gals bb shower must do at least 1 day earlier ie xmas eve...my mother n MIL heard abt dis le bt they also din know the reason until my CL tell them its because if gals do actual day/late, next time they dun want to marry.... though im a christian but i tink better believe than dun believe...

can i ask if anyone knows if baby is not engaged yet, can we still have show or waterbag will burst?
can we still deliver like that? or most likely it will not happen if baby not engaged?
 
Hi canopyhaze - I do eat the pill leh, today is the third session with her, as for the sound she also told me the same say got wind, first day alot then hor now not so much liao, my bb in the same room somemore, so u still on the wrap? as for the hot oil I still can take it cos not as hot compare to the slimming centre kind. I was laughing when reading yr post, but also not sure if other massage ladies make this sound. Any other mummies who massage can advise?

Btw jeanie, i use the california calendua cream as daily cream. If rashes appear, then i use Destin cream which will cure in 2 applies. After tat i switch to calendua cream as i heard that Destin is quite harsh on bb skin wor.

Chantal, u c-sect too? I still suffering c-sect pain too.

Genesis, i also bought the gripe water but i din feed my bb yet coz instructions said one mth old then can drink. Btw u bfing mar? If so, do cut down on brocoli intake.

Hi anny, my coy usually order from Kyo. Dunno why it always taste nice in coy. But when i buy directly from marine parade outlet, it doesn't taste as nice wor.
 
Vivi55, as per my last gynae visit my bb also not engaged, so I also dunno wat will happen, if got show or water bag burst bb head not engaged wat will happen. I checked with my frens those kenna induce, all bb head engaged, but got 1 fren bb head engaged and she induced but in the end emer c sect. The rest induced ones successfully give birth naturally.
 
canopyhaze, lucky my hubby is not those traditional kind one. lol.. He even secretly brought cold drink to room and let me drink last night. haha...

actually cak me to go induce tmr morning..
but i dun like the idea of induce..

but she is concern abt my birth injury with my son 3 yrs ago.. tat time my boy only 3.1kg alr broke the bone .. if this time the baby bigger than 3.1 then might happen again..

told her i will consider then get back to her..

hmm.. naturally, baby's head should engage first right? but i think i read that labour can also start when baby's head not engage leh. like that dunno will end up c-sect not.. so dangerous..

thanks for the update on ML..you sure made me laugh reading your experience..hehehe.alamak, she uses hot oil ? i wld probably be jumping up and down if used hot oil..kekeke...yeah, i ever had ML tat burps alot and super loud..scary...tot she might faint or wat...they did interview a dr on this, the dr said the theory doesn't make sense.hehehe..thanks ya canopy for the update..

Mummies.. went for my check up today. Gynae said bb engaged and head very very low already so anytime. So excited but hope will only come out of weekend cause hubby really tied-up with works
 
Roxy, oic, didn't know the reason why gals cannot do on actual full month day. Hmm... looks like I better do on 27 Dec then cos 31 Dec is actual date while 2 Jan is 2 days late. :p

Roxy, I started showering since Tues (cos of my massage package with RN, after scrub and steaming, it's time for shower with da feng cao water prepared by my CL). So far never wash hair but I want to wash hair tomorrow liao. Been using dry shampoo for 2 days but after each massage, hair gets oilier (cos masseur massage head). :p

Ainsley, my hubby also bought a coke and let me drink the day after I delivered. Hehe. But once at home, with CL, I'm more guai.

Ainsley, I buay paiseh for no. 2. Tell them I'm still trying to establish napping and sleeping routine for the 2 gals so better to visit during full month. Tell them I'll invite them then. Hee. ;)

Fitti: TMC gave me like a total of 80 glass bottles previously on 3 separate occasions when I asked from them. You just need to buy the bottle caps from either the pharmacy downstairs or Cheong Choon Superstore at Chinatown.

twinstars: hmmm my previous case was different. I waited till 40 weeks and baby still not engaged and i was totally not dilated, plus it was established previously i have quite a narrow pelvic bone. So my gynae told me i can try induction but warned me that my chance of success is only 10% so i opted for c-sect.
 
Ainsley, my mum wasn't happy lor when I told her that. She said I'll offend relatives. But relatives always don't inform beforehand then just press doorbell and expect us to entertain them.

But the thing is it's either we are trying to feed no. 1 or put her to nap or I'm BF no. 2 (which takes 30 mins to 45mins) and I want to nap cos they are asleep. Then I told her to tell them that confinement is 'dirty' so if visit me during confinement, will not strike 4d lor. Haha.
 
ainsley, you really have to tell them not to come or if they come, tell them you want to rest. you're nursing, coping with a new baby, etc. if these ppl buay hiao zhi dong, then you have to be thick skinned abit or else get your hb to be the 'bad person'. dont feel obliged to entertain them, it's pointless if you fall sick, then who's going to look after you then?!

Hi mummies,
I have my check up today at 38weeks. Bb is ard 3.3kg. OMG!! I scared it will be too big for me. But more worrying is doc suspect i have diabetes, cos i show high results for both blood n urine test. Tml will be gg for detailed check up, hope is only gestational diabetes. I hope wont affect bb and at the same time i hope bb can stay at this wgt liao le. Cos i am quite petite, i scared i might have difficulty giving birth.. But i have gained a total of 20kg so far. Waooo
 
Mornin mummies,

mooing time for me....didn't sleep well the whole nite almost wake up every 2 hours either pumping or feeding my little prince...yesterday nite breast feel so painful until I wake up.... Do any mummies experience tat??

Yup, i didnt know the reason also.. now i know, so just avoid... i got her name already yu3 qin3... though i dun really like dis qin3 as its a vegetable, the regular geomancer my in laws go to told me, as she's a cow, its better for her to have grass in her name, he says its not just counting strokes but such tings matter also.. eg the yu3 has a roof top which is also good for cow, ie shelter... he also told me she must avoid swimming etc till 3 yrs old which master jing zi long also told me and she cannot wear black, blue n green col... which means she cannot wear gor gor clothes which r mainly blue... haha excuse to buy all new clothes for her le :p we actually saw master jing zi long for name also...but the name he gave us like not very good n he didnt explain also, so we went back to regular geomancer...



genesis, yes i wear bra 24hrs... try to put disposable pads inside and also like wat mummies advise, squeeze abit of BM on nipples n apply nipple cream after each pump/latch, really helps... disposable pads are necessary, if not the bra material just chaff against ur nipples, making it more sore

yes, the CB cream not here yet.. im also applying the calendula cream on her body, face, buttocks etc... just it to sooth her dry skin

the pain seems the same..but i tink dis time round,the wound seems abit longer to heal prob cause run n chase after no 1 etc...
 
roxy, but isn't it very uncomfortable to wear bra 24 hours? for me I prefer braless normally wear bra when there's visitors...

but the thing is I'm afraid tat if i dun wear bra then breast will sag...

im wearing nursing bra without any wire.. so its pretty comfortable... in the past i didnt put disposable breast pads... nipples pretty painful, later i start to put n it helps sore nipples cause the cotton of the breast pads quite soft, as compared to our clothes or bra cloth.. will chaff against our nipples, i found it more sore then.. maybe u can try wearing breast pads, u might find gives ur nipples some comfort
 
morning mummies.. i went for week38 checkup yesterday, gynae say i'm about 1cm dilated &amp; may go into labour anytime over next few days, if that doesn't happen he suggest induce next week.. OMG, nervous &amp; anxious! is induce more painful?
 


roxy, haf discuss with hubby... tink we would prefer to engage (if we ever engage) a CL that a mummy has used n recommended...
