the 'kiap' thing quite safe...the tip is rounded de...usually the nose dirt will be hardened type or sticky type so easy to remove wif this bt muz be 'chop chop' la...do it swift and accurate...
if bb has gt runny mucous, can suck out with mouth somemore, alamak, this bb gt to be sick liao la, better see doctor then suck wif mouth, so unhygienic leh...our mouth so much germs...we may passed more germs to bb or bb may passed their germs to us, right or nt???....

i had my strep B test last wk.. they said will call me for my result.. till now i havent hear anything from them.. i hope nothing's wrong...

strep B is referring to Group B streptococcus. it a kind of bacteria growth in us esp in the birth canal. and can pass to bb during birthing process...

im having the PUPPP hor.. so i feel itchy here n there at time.. so in office.. while i was feeling itchy at ankle.. i "bend" down as much as i can to scratch to ease the itch... i wonder.. if i can burst my waterbag... LOL

Long time no log in liao. Got many posts to catch up. How's everyone? Anyone miss me??
I've given birth to a baby girl on 13 Aug 2009 (natural delivery with epidural). My girl weighs 2.740kg and her length is 47cm at birth.
She really caught all of us by surprise. I've not done my handover work to my colleagues and now feel so bad. Its must be quite messy for them.

Maybe your hubs concerned with the idea of dealing with 2 kids? My hubs don't ask for sex much during this preg cos I already have to take care of #1 while being hugely pregnant, he feel bad, so don't ask lor. Maybe your hubs also feel that way?

Ya lor. I secretly went to pop. I was also surprised by her. She's early by 3wks+.
Initally had a hard time on breastfeeding with sore nipples and not enough supply. Was quite upset. Now better liao. Can relax for a while and spent some time to come in to kapo. heehee.

Overall, i am the ONE giving birth, i am the MOTHER of my baby, i am the one doing everything. So they..... move away! hahahaaa.. so bad right!

just went for appt this noon. baby head is nice n low but gynae didnt say whether engaged not leh. i also didnt bother to ask lah, when its time it will be engaged. i still hoping to pop at 39 wk plus! baby weighs a nice 3.4kg now.

buy those local ones wif the husk still green...thai one are those husk taken out totally and left wif hard round shell...very small and round...taste very sweet bt wif basically lil or no flesh...
the green ones of course are younger coconuts wif flesh tat is soft and can be scrape using spoon.
if the flesh is hard de, those are brown old coconuts usually wif the flesh grinded as use in kuehs and its juice use for cooking laksa, curry....

usually u'll know they has gt pi sai when they seems hungry for milk and when u feed them, they will suckle for a while and then struggle nt wanting the milk like tat...i figured coz when their nose are full of dirt, they can still breathe thru their mouth. Bt when they drink milk, cannot use mouth to breathe anymore, so very xin ku...
my eldest gal behaved tat way and i was totally clueless wat she wants and beri kancheong as a first time mother...cry for milk bt give milk, suck a while then cry again...after figuring out myself after a while...SOLVED!

anyway, i used to take TCM (traditional chinese medicine)...my sinseh forbid me to take barley...coz say will trigger contractions so those scared/worried of miscarriages or having premature labour shld try to avoid it.
so those who wants to induce labour can try barley and SEX lor...Heehee

shelled: thanks huh for reminding me to be gan jiong. Just went to find my Principal this afternoon, she say have to take 16weeks of Maternity Leave @ one shot. We calculate, which means IF i start taking on 21st sept, 16weeks @ one go will mean that i return to work on the 2nd week of 2010. I was like omg, eat into my holidays
I shared with her my intention of taking first 8 weeks then stagger my remaining 8 weeks. She say if break leave, it will mean i have 20weeks of maternity leave (4weeks of dec hols). Then i sad. Because my main concern is that no one can take care of bb when i return to work. empress already "declare" hands-off. No maid also. Even if put in infant care, no one can pick her up @ 7pm. Plus, i will be in the pm session. Headache.
I approached my AM, ask how and explained my situation, then she mention her #3 is being taken care by bbsitter who lives nearby our school. Then the bbsitter took care of her #1 & 2 before, about 9years liao, some more pro-bf de. Wah then i machiam see a glimpse of light, ask her help me ask the bbsitter if she willing to take in another baby... Hope i get good news lo, before i propose another "plan" to P.

Should feed bb on demand right from the start so you can understand how good their appetite is and how long and how much they need to be decently full. Then once you understand how much bb needs to stay happy, then you can adjust their schedule accordingly.
I only understood K's feeding habit this morning lor. He must empty 1 breast and still have about half of the other breast then he will be happy until the next feed abt 3hrs later. But he is so mighty sleepy! I have to purposely burp him to wake him up whenever he fall asleep at the breast, then after burp he'll be a bit more awake to BF more, then keep repeating the suckle/fall asleep/burp cycle until he finally won't take the breast anymore. A feed takes almost 30 mins cos I have to waste time to wake him up to finish the feed. Last few days he would suckle for 5 mins, then fall asleep. I also didn't know burping him will wake him up. Then he BF 5mins every hour!! Wah lau, how I sleep lor?!
Water can be started at any time. In fact, if TBF bb is fussy in the hosp nursery, the nurse will try to spoonfeed a bit of water to pacify them if they just BF. I know this cos 1st night when I warded, K was fussy and kept crying, but I just BF 30 mins ago, so nurse brought him to me and ask if I want them to just give water to pacify bb. Or if I want to cuddle him to see if he will calm down.

Can feel pulling/tugging sensation when they ripping your flesh apart lor. I think a good way to explain would be like if you poke/pinch yourself when you're numb. Can feel, but not much sensation.

Can feel pulling/tugging sensation when they ripping your flesh apart lor. I think a good way to explain would be like if you poke/pinch yourself when you're numb. Can feel, but not much sensation.

Sorry ah.. Been away for a while le. Anybody miss me? heez.. bhb I know.. lolz...
Well, hb was back on Tuesday.. went to see gynae that night. Have been following him ard to run errands and get some stuffs done. Finally bought our car seat today. Should have bought it long ago, but hb said his colleague also intending to get one. So waited till today to bring them down to take a look. In the end, only we bought the carseat. hurhur..
After that went to no signboard for dinner.. I told hb I wanted to eat chilli crab at least once before i pop. Cos, my MIL didnt allow. So all the while nv eat, then today we 偷偷 ate lo.. Not very good I would say, would prefer 小红楼 at east coast lo.. Still prefer their seafood. heez..
We've also decided to go for 1-bedded in Thomson le. Yeah!

Have heeded the advise from my gynae to stop all forms of milk intake and my diarrhoea seemed to have subsided le. Thank God!</font>

hi! back from my chk-up...
bb at wk 37 at 2.96kg le! dr woody say must control diet liao... wait too fat/ big cannot have natural birth (TT)
but gd thing bb still head down!! woohooo~~
then he blur... nv tell me the strep B result.. i also forgot to ask.. so "jump Q" to go into the rm to ask him.. no news is gd news lo... (hee thks <font color="0077aa">michelle</font>)
Doc oso tell me to monitor bb movement 10 times from 9am to 9pm...
i forgot to ask again... wat if bb move more after 9pm? can include the movement after 9pm? experienced mommies pls help advice! thanks in advance! =)
