You know what, last night I was suffering at 10+pm - had my gastric again for 3rd time in 3 weeks. When I have gastric, will have diarrhea so end up in & out of toilet cos of diarrhea. Gastric so painful. Got BH contractions, then babies uncomfy cos they're constricted hence both move alot. Super suffering. Lucky I didn't vomit yesterday.
But due to all that fatigue from the diarrhea and gastric, I managed to get a gooood night's sleep after sooo many nights! Cos prev nights once wake up at 3+ or 4+am to pee for 3rd time, cannot sleep liao.

Ya we spree all no warranty... cos buy from US website. But should be reliable la. Anyway mine I haven't used yet, still nice in its package. The packaging quite big you know. If $70 got regd mail, I'd say it's a good deal.

I'm still using the refills that come with the thermometer. Have not bought any yet coz only baby using mah..so err..always use back the same lens cover..heh

I think the Taka fair would be cutting it too close
. My gyne says if my waterbag breaks I have 30 mins to get my butt to Mt A, no last shower for me.
But so far she has shown no interest in being early

its good to drink chicken essence. was advised by my grandma too. to give energy and 'jin shen'.
I hate chicken essence also, dont like the smell since young but my grandma teach to add in with milo and the smell really gone lor. those mommies out there dont take chicken essence can try that.

when doing confinement, i always cook the pig liver / kidney with ginger, sesame oil and wine and pour the chicken essence. taste yummy! cos im one who hates to drink chicken essence on its own too!

can can but not too much, esp if ur baby has jaundice. this is the only way i caN finish all the bottles of chicken essence given by frds and it taste really different when u cook it! can drink like soup also!

I was also told to drink chicken essence before delivery. But since fasting is required for csection, I guess I won't need to drink it then.

for me, there r no hard n fast rules to confinement leh. the DOs are, do have lots of rest, do eat well, do make urself as comfortable as u can esp if u need to bath etccc..., do not listen to old wives tales that cause u to have post natal depression! haha...

I was told drink ginger water (can mix with lemongrass also) is good to expel wind from our system. But need to hunt for recipe to brew ginger water with lemongrass first =P
Hey I also love love ginger tea (tarik)! Now hubby ban me from drinking tea right, I go for ginger milk (susu halia). Yummy, must buy from those teh tarik shops then nice, the taste so wholesome!

What you need:
50g fresh ginger, peeled and bruised
12 red dates
750ml water
30g-40g rock sugar, or to taste
What you do:
To make the drink, put all the ingredients in a pot, bring to a boil and simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes.
Remove from heat and serve hot or warm.

oops, sorry... the milk tea im refering is mother's milk tea it help us strengthen uterine muscles for labor, and slow bleeding after birth. Raspberry also increases breast milk.

i'm in a shopping mood now!! just spent abt $150 in the last hour ordering things online!! got myself two boxes of lasinoh milkbags, a pair of shoes for #1 and lots of clothes from a pumpkin patch spree. i think i can't exercise self control since i'm haven't surfed the net in such a peaceful and quiet state for a while, hahaa ... husband is sound asleep already and my boy is taking a weekend holiday at my mum's place, wohoo! i want to explore the BP section now to see if there's anything interesting to buy there. anyone have contacts for cute socks/booties, please let me know. realized i haven't bought any newborn - 6 months size socks for #2 yet.
