Food when BFing
Can we take sashimi if we are BFing? Dun tell me cannot! I've already ren for so long! Can right? So it's just no spicy food and peanuts that we have to avoid?

Bathing of BB
Need advice from mummies, hope I dun sound silly :p
When do we start bathing bb, eg the day after discharge?? And do they need to bath daily?

I ate sashimi when I was BFing leh. But as usual, just make sure the fish is fresh lah. But while I did it daringly, I advise BF moms to do "testing" by just eating a bit first. DOn't later like my J kenna allergy rash from me eating oyster omelette! If small case of allergy, it's still ok. But when it comes to seafood/nuts/spicy foods, some can get SERIOUS allergies from it. Better to play safe.

Babies don't really need to be bathed everyday cos they are not that dirty. If you want to start bathing bb after discharge from hosp, no one's stopping you, but it's not 100% necessary lah.

Good, then I won't bath the bb daily.. I think bathing the bb is the only 1 thing I do not have confident in doing. Till now I still dun know if I should bathe him in the bathroom or in the room and how to go about doing it.. seems like such a complicated process. haha maybe just dunk him in water and dry.

u only dont have confidence in bathing baby? i think i dont even have confidence in carrying bb lor... lol. but friends tell me it will come instinctly. I hope so... Those dolls we play during antenatal class are non-living so they don't move, don't cry so very easy. but a real living bb is different lor.

anyway we won't be bathing bb right cos we are not suppose to "touch" water during confinement.

I have to do everything cos no one to help me and I'm not getting CL too. I know! Those plastic dolls are so easy to handle, can just hold the hands and it'll stay upright... haha... but real bb must be so slippery when wet... and soapy. See how lah, I'm sure if women of all these ages can do it, so can I.. and all of us!

On days u dont bathe bb, mayb just wipe bb with a cloth so at least they don't get heat rashes lor.

dun worry, im sure mother instinct will take over. last time nobody taught out mothers abt antenatal classes right? they also can naturally carry us, so dun worry abt it ok.

im the cleanliness freak type, though i know babies dun stink i will still bath them twice a day :p actually bath once daily plus wipe them in the evening will be more than enough. errr... if bath only alternate days is a bit errr... unacceptable to me. but thats just me ok, dun have to follow!

How i wish i can lay on my bed and sleep cos it's such a gd weather to do so. Envy my DH can be sleeping in such gd weather as he's on leave today due to the renovation works at my new house.

no secret recipe la.. just instead of the usual MSG pack from the instant noodles.. i add the condiments like making "dry fishball" noodles - sesame oil, dark vinegar, chilli sauce (garlic chilli taste better), fried shallot/ garlic, pepper.... etc

im missing it and drooling when typing this...

i want to be the "first" to bathe bb! even though i have no confidence too! heee so looking forward.. i dun mind to touch water la.. if not how to wash face in the morning? :p
anyways, from the classes, just wash/ rinse their head, then soak their body in the bath water, rub a bit here n there, then rinse, then quickly get them out of water, wrap them dry in towel and "dry clean"... seems ez hor.. but not... but i still wanna do it for BB!!

!yes i agree with milkyway &amp; mamato6js.. mother instinct will come.. ! and hopefully i do it well... hahahaha

Im "saved" by this!

I had one half boiled egg just weeks before i tested preggie.. so hopefully no damage done 不知者无罪!
had the 2nd one just at the beginning of 3rd trim :p tat's all.. i have "clean record"... lol

Wah, you really have a "clean record"! I lost count of the number of half boiled eggs and sunny side up I had... the best is I took 2 raw oysters at a buffet.. cannot tahan :p

I'm so going to a buffet again after delivery and stuff myself mad with sashimi and oyster! And my medium rare beef streak!! Plus a glass of wine! And cheese! HAhaa going mad thinking of all these.

But b4 all these can happen, guess we'll have to guai guai eat our confinement food for a month 1st... sigh...

preferable in town area, i dun wan home visit one.. like kenko type one..

I was just telling shelled yest that I've got this onset of pain/cramp in my tummy n soreness below. And I tink its whenever my gal stretches herself in me. She said K always does that to her also. So I guess its pretty normal ba..
It can be rather uncomfortable as I've gotta pause with whatever im doing for a while due to the pain lo and it comes without warning de. Hai hao still bearable la.

The soreness below is felt most of the time; be it walking or just sitting on the chair.. and like during a shower, n while washing that area below, it feels sore n somewhat "different".. hurhur.. duno how to explain la.. anyway.. the cramp gt me rather uncomfortable last night n I msged my gynae lo. Asked him if ventolin he prescribed me previously will help? Then he say can. Just take half a tablet as n when required. Waiting to see him and my gal during my appt next friday. Now just have to rest at home lo.. cannot go anywhere also cos my car cannot start! Sianz... This is part of my "suayness" yest which I dun wana mention further..haiz...

Wondering how my gal doin too... 6th Jul, her head was still up. Then 15th Jul, during the 3D scan, her heads down le. Hope there are no changes to that..

Once after 9pm, there's hardly anything available that is a proper meal >.<. I'm not a cake eater so I don't fancy Polar. Ya Kun, I think eat too much I will lose my voice. XD Too expensive for thin slices of bread also. Old Chang Kee is all fried also not my kind. Bubble tea I only drink once or twice a week because the pearls are of high starch content and not very good for health. ^^

I don't recall there being an escalator to go down to the Hub foodcourt. I always take the lift down from the Polar Side. The buttons will say Foodcourt/ Carpark.

Slept at 2am yesterday... Still so tired. Handling 1 rebonding now so I may not be able to keep up with the thread. =)

with the method she taught in bathing...starting with the eyes, then face then hair....
then we bring baby to water and start to bathe them in the warm water....

The food there is not bad. Though got alot of old people go there to eat. But it's pretty cheap too.
 
for mummies who are tired, did u take ur multivit or iron pills? iron shortage will make u tire more easily. also dun take iron with caffeine and calcium. sigh me so blur and the clinic nurse so kuku... i took my multivits and calcium TGT for a few months and was always sleepy and i tot it was normal. then after blood test, they scared me and told me i was anaemic! (they called me on my old no and when cannot get me, called my in-laws place a few times and i tot they discovered wad disease through my blood test! tt night nearly cant sleep cos got to wait for clinic to open in the morning to ask them wad was wrong...)

sigh like tt wasted my $$$ on my supplements man! haha but now ok liao so will take my multivits and calcium very far apart...

as for sashimi, now the craving is no longer there. quite a few times my hubby let me eat cos he always see me so sad when he can eat while i cant but i always din take cos i tot already siam for so long, a few more mths no diff, if not all my previous mths efforts wasted. after a while, no craving le. but i still cannot imagine laksa and cha kway tiao with no cockles!!!

haha this wk when i was taking train, got this guy super sweet! the train was crowded and besides the people who were standing, everyone sitting down was sleeping! so i stand until a bit tired and bored... so i was thinking to my baby: baby, mummy is tired. can you do something abt it?

after a while, tt guy moved from his space and i tot he wanted to alight so i move one side for him to walk. but actually, he meant to walk to the other side and approach a sleeping student to ask him to give up his seat for me. i was super stun and touched man! then the student was quite deep in sleep so he looked so blur and stood up anyway! haha so i sms my hubby to tell him wad a hero tt guy was and next time must teach my boy boy to be like him!!

So both of bb can shake hand lor. Well, seems like the pushing &amp; punching has help increase space in my tummy to accomodate bb. So now the kicks are much more bearable haha.

I still eat them hehe. Seems to crave for sushi for this pregnancy , so must eat. hahaha
Lots of time, i eat food by faith hmm. How to put it..hmm. I felt confident i will eat, no confident dun eat lor haha

Indigestion or gastric pain
Started having this a few days ago. I cannot eat too much per meal, if not my stomach will act up. Now, i cannot eat chilli liao, chocolate or critic stuff if not i will have pains.
