available in robinsons centrepoint (called up and chk) & baby kingdom (went personally - discount given: i asked happily and straightforward, the auntie hush me not to be so "loud". End up the discount not even 5%... chey i thot will be given more :/ big deal)
but we got it anyway... sponsored by my SIL.. she at first agreed to sponsor s705 which cost $3xx.. now it $4xx, she gonna jumped!

cabinet/ drawers
FIL wanted us to get permanent chest of drawers. MIL wanted us to get wardrobe so can hang the little bb clothing...
I wanted to get the plastic drawers so can save money, next time older then get wardobes and the plastic drawers can be storage for toys...

Took us a long time to settle a decision.. a cheaper wardrobe with hanging pole and shelving below.. sigh... at least all these r settled...

Left the following:
- Extra bb bedding sets
- Extra/ more cute bb clothing
- kid's clothing hangars! (lotsa)
- clearing/cleaning bb room-to-be
- washing bb clothing and all fabrics to be used
- arranging furns in bb room
- all my maternity stuff!!
(i think left all this la.. shld still have mini misc stuff... lol)

That's good.

Shouldn't let one person's lopsided story affect your confidence in the hospital and its staff. Hubbies are VERY important in your BF journey, despite what some ppl may say/feel. We need our hubbies to:
support the idea of BF (and not to buy FM to "stock up")
for them to help remember feeding times because we may be too tired
for them to bring bb to us to BF if we feel too much pain from moving around
to give breast massage during engorgement
to learn how to heat up and give EBM so we can have a break
to defend us against any friends/relatives who are not supportive of BF
to simply just encourage us when we feel like giving up
To be honest, I probably wouldn't have been able to BF #1 successfully without the support from my hubs. He was the one who asked Mrs Wong to come assist when my nipples cracked and bled. He was the one who went to get Lansinoh for my suffering nipples. He was the one who went and bought cooling gel pads for me when I was badly engorged and in so much pain that I wanted to give up. He was the one who did online research about how to relieve engorgement. And everyday, he would give me breast massage to prevent blocked ducts. When I throw tantrums at him cos I was tired and in pain (from c-sec + engorgement), he took it all in and still kept telling me that I was doing a great job.

And this is why I always tell mommies/MTBs that your DH's support is very VERY important in order to successfully BF. Because I know I wouldn't have made it without my hubs' support.

i m selling my mumsfairy handsfree Pumpin' Pal Super Shields & Pumpin' Pal's Original Handsfree Strap. Bought on 25th May 2009 at Mt Alvernia. Used only once.

As my bb only wans to latch on, if nt, this are really v useful cos u can sit back n relax while pumping. can b use for single or dual pump. u won't feel so stressful in the middle of the nite pumping, cos 1 day to pump 6-8 times is really no joke. this can really ease ur back from tiredness n aching for sitting upright, especially if u r in ur confinement period.

I'm very excited (& also a bit worried). Tonite gog to get study room furniture & other misc items from Ikea. Thu moving to MIL's. Fri the contractor will start hacking, Sat & Sun, HB will paint. And Mon & Tue will be installation! Can't wait to see & sleep in the end pdt, but also worried abt the mess haha.

I can't say exicted But really counting down.. my butts pain is getting worst each day. I dunno when i can tahan... Yesterday was lying on the floor with a very thin mattress when i flip to each side it was VERY PAINFUL.. when sleep too long on one side the side would be numb.....
Thinking of MC tml till Wednesday... sure kenna scolding again..... haizzzzz

Woke up ard 6.30am to pee, then just decided to stay up lor, since almost dawn already. I usually sleep around 5-8 hours everyday.

By the way, went to Toa Payoh Song & Song outlet ytd. Totally no baby clothes/blankets at all! So sad lah.

Backache go massage. It's a good excuse to be pampered.

How to be physically prepared? I never thought that one would need to be physically prepared for birth leh, only physically prepared for pregnancy by eating right, cutting down coffee, etc etc. Mentally... I guess you're somewhat running out of time! But I think once your baby's room/things are settled, you'll be more mentally prepared lah, because you can see that the day is almost coming.

Please try to sleep on something softer and more padded? I cannot imagine your pain lor! My hubs went to buy mattress topper so my body will stop aching from sleeping, because our mattress is Seahorse brand and the hard hard type (which I really like until I get pregnant each time). Then my whole body sore like crazy and pain here and there.

Haha these few days no time to go for massage. But I think I shd bk a session during those few days when HB is busy reno-ing. Coz he wun be avail to help me massage my back liao

Even if he's staying at MIL's, later his mum see her son massaging my back, later she not happy muahaha.

So difficult to get blankets hor? I suppose if I like blue, there're lots of choices. But me fussy lah

i also hope i can tahan.. coz the pain is really getting worst at times it really make me cry... i can hold pain pretty well till this stage that i feel crying means it is really bad.. But it already towaards the end so no choice no matter how pain still got to bear with it till then.....
especially the vigana area also in soreness that it really ....
It seems bearing with these pains is worst then the contraction pain...
Yap MS again.. morning puke even without food those white forms come out again.. can touch those rice hard to disgest food....
NOw really tired.... typing also feel like sleeping

how old is your boy now? mine's 2 years + 3 months, and is at the moment trying out three and four syllabus words. i think a lot of toddlers are more advanced than him for speech, but that's really ok cos everyone develops at a different pace. don't tear your hair out over his speech behaviour lah. good to hear that he's a well behaved boy =)

i also think that bb movements are not gender specific, cos some baby/toddler girls are more active/aggressive than my boy. i am opposite from you. my #1 kicked a lot, but #2 is definitely more gentle in demeanor!

how old is your #1 now? i think behaviour can also be "trained". my #1 was very very restless and active as a small baby, and recently as he's growing up, i observed that he's mellowed. to me, he's a pretty attentive and non-aggressive person when he's with me/husband. but he goes back to being a monster at my mum's house: screams, demands for things etc. i think he knows that his por por/kong kong can be "bullied" but parents won't care about his whims.

My MIL also very uncomfortable when she see her precious son being my "slave", but heng she diam diam and never comment too much.

Pop early means less time to prepare, so better not pop early? Ok lah, maybe ard 39wks not too bad. Save you 1 week less of discomfort.

Lemme guess, did you get the ANEBODA chest of 3-drawers? Pinewood with white plastic front? Cos I think that's the only $89 one they sell. I've been browsing IKEA catalogue so much since a few mths ago, shortlisting storage furniture to neaten up my place. We used the ANEBODA with my #1, just threw it out over the weekend cos no space in his room after putting in a toddler bed with the current cot.

My boy is 25mths now, and the longest word he can say is "diaper". But even then he doesn't talk (other than saying "Hi") when we have guests at home, and that INCLUDES his poor suffering grandparents who are waiting to hear him talk with GREAT anticipation. He also vehemently refuses to speak outdoors. Some ppl say he's shy, but I think he's just... stubborn and not confident enough yet.

I'm not exactly tearing my hair out, but it's somewhat frustrating for me because I know he CAN. He just simply refuses to. And the stress from the grandparents, neighbours, friends, etc... They almost make it sound like it's my fault that he's not talking!

If he's anything like how he was regarding walking, the moment he decides to "grow up" he will do it at a ridiculously fast speed. He was cruising since 10 months old, but refuse to let go of his hands at all. Then one day at 16 months, he just practically RAN. Talk about taking it gradually...

My #1 also bullies his grandparents, cos he knows he can. Kids are smarter than some ppl give them credit for!

My MIL also nvr comment much lah, but cannot be do until so obvoius mah heehee.

Ok, your blue really got a lot already. At least my boys' clothes/sheets/towels/pram very very little blue ones cos I find it so typical and boring. But certain things like blankets, really very gender-specific so no choice buy blue lor. But I'm sure there are some white ones for sale SOMEWHERE, right? Mothercare always sell alot of white stuff for those ppl who don't want to find out gender.

Speech - dun bother abt pple i know it is hard but no worries when time comes it will come... i had a fren whom child speaks after 3yrs old and since then become Chatty hahah so when the child is ready it will be ready!! That what i learn from my child.. no point forcing or stressing too much .. such as potty training i juz ignore it by as time pass my gal can tell me she "SHSHSHSH" and "poopoo" and go get her own diaper to change.. i think she is ready for toliet training once i pop would start training on her!!
I din bother if she walk or cruise i juz let her be what she be and take her time to be ... when she ready she would do it..

Morning Everyone,

Aiyoh, so sian to work today. Didn't sleep well last nite cos i nap in the afternoon urgh!!

Sat when for my gyn visit, i'm 31wks now, haha me still think i'm 30wks. BB head is down. Once in a while she will jab my pelvic with her head & i will have to freeze there while walking.

Active as ever think about the same as Jie jie. So far weight gain is 7kg. Gyn say right on target.

I did not get any breast pump at all leh. Trying to save $$ lor. We see how first lor

yah lah dun pull ur hair over the kids speech development. unless u r v certain they have speech prob, they will speak one day and amaze u with their powderful vocab! my twins couldnt say a single word other than their blabbering and "mama" but once they turn almost 2.5 yrs old they just cant stop talking and in very proper and super long sentences. so they skipped their one and two syllabus vocalisation totally! and now how i wish they will just keep quiet and give me some peace!

before they started speaking, everybody ard me was so concerned something is wrong with them! but they just wont open their mouth and speak what can i do?

my gal whom everybody thinks she will talk early, just becos girls averagely speaks earlier than boys, only started her one and two syllabus words when she turned 2. and till now she is still talking lots of nonsense and cant pronounce many words fluently. aiyah heck lah, as long as i understand can already! and most importantly just enjoy her cute nonsensical talking before it expires too!

my #3 on the other hand started speaking earlier at 18 mths but progressed v slowly and in the end when he was 2.5 yr old he was also on par with the twins.

so just enjoy them at their individual pace

EXCITED of cos!! looking forward to meet the luv miracle of my DH & me!
the pain/ aches and heaviness going thru is terrible now.. hopefully can pop and i'm relieved of the extra weight leh.
But preparations still not completed!

now when i change sides to sleep, i will be awake to slowly turn to one side, then drift off to dreamland, if not wake up to pee. Even the getting off bed and standing up.. i need to hold on to smthing and walk very slowly wor... like old lady liao... =(

And im in "worrisome/ fear" that my MIL will stay overnite at our hse now during my "confinement".. then maybe FIL will tag along.. then 1 of my planning to munch Mac for midnite snack will be gone! lol.. and it comes with endless nags, and no comfy rest at all aft the delivery.. still not "used" to my PIL presence at all.
then we got only a spare sofa bed in the library with full sliding glass door.. with no curtains to block la.. last time they came to sleep when SIL is getting married and they did reno to their flat.. they complained too noisy and bright.. cos we r still awake and watching tv while they slept first..

again.. me nothing better to do than worry lo..

else maybe i have a 'tomboy' girl in the making in my tummy? haha.. some nights i can get jerked outta my sleep at nite when she gives me a hard kick. nowadays in the day i can feel her turning around, sometimes it feels ticklish, sometimes it feels quite painful, i literally can see my tummy right side bob up and left side sink down and it goes up down up down several times!

I'm not worried!! Just pissed off when ppl keep asking me why he's not talking. I'm not him, how am I supposed to know huh? Sometimes I feel like retorting these ppl: "Maybe cos he thinks you are smelly so he don't to talk to you?!" Ok, I know I'm very bad, but it's very frustrating to be asked the same stupid question over and over again, especially when there's nothing I can do about it.

I also have a feeling that once J is ready to talk, he will talk nonstop. Now already asking me a lot of "why?" and "what's this?" questions already. He has a wide vocabulary, because he can understand almost everything ppl ask him about. Just... waiting lor. I kinda like him being this way. Cute mah. Grow up too fast then not my baby anymore liao.

all these babies characteristics in the womb so cute right! my gal was the quitest and gentlest in the tummy. my #3 was the most active and cried the loudest when he came out. until now he is still the most playful and the noisiest in the family!

well, yeah, i also always think that MILs will heartpain their sons if they see them being 'too good' to their wives. mine i think also same same. i'd never forget this one conversation i had with my MIL where i 'complained' to her that her son's snoring keeps me awake most of the time at nights coz i'm a very light sleeper. and now that i'm preggie, its harder, because of all the 'discomforts'. and GUESS WHAT?! she actually suggested why don't i sleep on the sofa in the hall instead?! wah piang! i nearly fainted when i heard that...just kept quiet lor. luckily for me, my hubs doesn't even remotely have this kind of ridiculous thoughts.
