not always got the 4 or 5 tier ones on sale...
like quarterly they have different things on sale(along with those carts bins ones)...
that time, i wanna get 2 block
but no one help my hb to carry and
we also not sure if it fit into the car boot so we left and we return 2 days later with a lorry...it's all sold out loh...

they not display there but near the escalators area(near to the electical stuffs)
sometimes they have those kids clothings/cook books/toys etc...
its that area...not the section where they place the plastic cabinets...
ya very fast sold out but hor only the bigger ones lah...

i nv buy much 0-3mths clothes, cos doc say my bb legs longs, so i went ahead n buy more 3-6mths clothes. anyway i think it's ok to be wearing bigger den smaller clothes? keke. so definitely must wash 3-6mths ones. cos i only bought like 1/4 is 0-3mths clothes =x like tat can make full use of de 3-6mths clothes =p

den u must c whether de wheels fr de cot can remove or not =p cos i nv check if mine can remove or not. cos i got one room for bb. de room is so big, i got nothin to put in there. keke. maybe when he grows bigger, i bring him go choose his own furnitures ba. when tat time comes, my pocket shuld be looser liao =x

i oredi bought 2 waterproof mat. one to put in bb's cot, one to put on one corner of the sofa. so he can lie dere when we are in de living room. but think most of the time he will be in his cot. n since de cot got wheels, can move it freely ard de house =p

confinement period> sian. hubby juz told me he got a product submit to attend overseas when i m on confinement. he say his mgr ask him come hm discuss with me. den i ask him wat to discuss. proj submit cannot dun go rite

All these are clothes that 2 friends passed to me. Very siong...all so tiny. Good thing I bought a dryer. If not, I would go crazy hanging all the little pieces on the pole for drying. Infact, I think I still have 2 more loads for new clothes and those mattress covers etc.

I washed all because I know if I keep some away, I may never bring them out for use. Once the babies come, I won't have time to keep track of how much stuff I have for "reserves" - out of sight, out of mind.

Since I have to wash, might as well wash everything.

I super kan cheong after reading about the 2 mummies who gave birth so much earlier. I want to have everything ready so that I will be prepared when the time comes.
 
May I ask what is the best way to protect the cot mattress from stains and all? Those disposable waterproof sheets or something else?

U mentioned settled your CL, izit still Auntie Lifen ? If you paid her the deposit, sure enuf she will not be doing confinement for me.

I was just telling my MIL if Auntie Lifen back out, I will simply buy books on confinement food and get my maid to cook. Luckily she offered to pop by on & off to help if this is the case.

i only bought 3-6months also...the 0-3 are all handmedowns...
just for bb to wear in the 1st few days to full month if she can fit la.. hehehe..sooo tiny loh.. hehehe. :p

My room is painted blue...and my lights are not very white light...so maybe thats why it looks different.

The dryer was only purchased last week and it is very useful.I will wash them then sort the clothes and put them in plastic bags. I think if kept this way, won't be too dusty. I rather do it now while I can still move around. Anyway, I very paranoid abt premature birth.
 
Hmmm... realised most of you start to wash baby's clothings etc.... mine still in a paper bag in the cupboard... even baby cot also not settled... most of you wash the clothes now... will your be washing it again in august? baby cot all set up liao?? seemed like i'm one of those who haven't got much things done....

BB COT
When the delivery man brought the cot to my place, they have already assembled it. So I just throw a bedsheet over it to prevent it from getting dusty.

WASHING
My EDD 22nd Sept, wash now too early right? When should I wash the clothings? 2 weeks b4 EDD?
 
bbq98> keke. icic. clothes most likely will wash all. but things like bedding set, towels, handkerchief n other misc stuffs, den maybe i wash wat i need first. cos some i really buy alot to keep for future use or in case first set spoils one. =p

dere's waterproof sheets where u can put on topup of the matress ma. use those lo. i m using those to protect the matress too.

itsy> my edd 23sep. but it's ok la. on n off during ur checkup, doc will update u on de edd again. from there u gauge when to wash lo. think it'll be good to wash only in sep. not good to wash too early. cos it gets dusty n ended up no good for bb's skin too. anyway how long can de washing take? 2days to wash n dry at most? =p

My gynae never mentioned anything much about my EDD. He only tells me +/- 2 weeks from my EDD which will be taken the date from my 1st day of last menses. SOmehow i wish baby can pop out 1st 2 weeks of september, hahaa so that i might be on time to attend my friend's wedding in early october! Else i would also prefer baby to pop out 20sept! Hahahahaaa.... think i am siao...

cot- i still haven't got the cot from my cousin... and even if i get the cot already, i doubt i can set it up now... maybe in august bah.. cos if i set up now, it's going to be quite cramp in the room and FIL confirm KPKB when he vacuum and mop the floor. SIGH. That's one stupid problem when you don't live in your own flat or with your own parents. Next time the baby cot will still be there also what... he just have to bear with it loh... but one thing is, my in laws keep asking us to put the baby cot in their room!!!! No way man! URGH!

clothes- i don't have any hand-me-downs... and i only have a few sets... each size like only 3-5 pieces... hahaha... so it's not a lot as compared to most mummies here... maybe early august i get hubby to wash and then i keep in ziplock bag... :)

breastpump - do we have to sterilize them now or wait till when we wanna use then get hb to sterilize.. cos now sterilize also wanna use beforehand must sterilise again...

....wonder if any of you do encounter the tummy to be hard at times? it's not the braxton hicks i think.. seemed like the baby's backbone... i also no idea.. but it's quite hard... and after sometimes not so hard already... LOL!

What's more is that I don't like confinement food, so during confinement I eat just enough to not be hungry. I remember my mom would eat ALOT during confinement cos she loves those dishes, and she never lost any weight at all!

Please start washing earlier lah. Must factor in "lazy days" when you don't feel like doing laundry, etc etc. Then after you wash, need to arrange how to put into the drawers/cupboard for the most convenience. For example: You would change bb's mittens more often than booties, so put the booties further into the drawer. Sleepsuits they only wear at night, so put further at the back also. Etc etc lah. It never hurts to be prepared slightly earlier, just in case. Also, 2 weeks before EDD you'll be so huge and uncomfy, I don't think you'll want to do anything lor! Best gauge is to be ready <u>by 36wks</u>. Some babies come zhun zhun once they turn full-term at 37wks lor!

I super kiasu - wash everything. I have friends who passed some new stuff - not that they bought these for me - they bought them for their own kids but in the end didn't open the new stuff coz they kept using the old ones.

Keegan is 2.6kg!! Really very very big boy! *faints* He has turned upside down, and now just waiting for him to get engaged and then for labour to start naturally. All seems good, although gynae is once again worried that BB might not be able to be born naturally cos he's very big. His head circumference measures 32.3cm, which is actually more of an average 36wks sizing.

Not feeling worried at all, because I have a good feeling that I'll be able to have a very smooth and relatively painless natural birth.

After all, even IF he is big, I am also not a small-sized mommy lor, so I don't see why I won't be able to deliver him.

Keegan has been very cooperative so far, and I believe he will continue to assist me in achieving a good easy birth for both of us. At 31wks, his head was right under my ribs, and I tell him every once in a while to turn over so he can come out naturally and meet us. I bribe him with the idea of yummy food, breastmilk, kisses, hugs and toys. I think it worked lah, cos he's head down now.

For those who are interested, I am now 81.3kg. Put on 600 grams since my 31wks checkup, and the 600grams all went to Keegan cos last checkup he was 2kg.

Brazilian wax leh? As for the other stuff... not sure what else you haven't done, so cannot give suggestions. Have you settled your confinement stuff yet?

For me I still have to setup the small swinging crib in my room so Keegan can sleep there with us for the first couple of months. Afterwhich I will wean him off night feeds and shift him to sleep with korkor.

2.6kg is very big issit? Anyway, like u said, you're also not very small and u have the confident, surely can deliver him naturally. Kambate!
 
Oh ya! Must wax! Must remember to make appointment! Confinement... I also dunno what to do.. my mum is helping me everyday after she knock off work at 3pm. She just tell me, don't worry. So i also dunno what to prepare :p I'll be alone at home b4 3pm lor... Haha just Zi Sheng Zi mie at home with bb till 3pm daily.

Rach &amp; I indeed booked the same CL originally. Then I came to know that there are "hot" CL who collect "orders" and recommend her friends to do the CL.

Rach has since given up on this CL, for me, too lazy to hunt for another one. If she turn up, good for me. If not, I'll have my back up plan since I have a maid. Juz hope that I dun have to go thru C-section, otherwise a bit difficult to take care of newborn, plus a sticky 3 yo.

Thanks for recommendation. I would prefer something cottony at the top so baby will not feel so hot. Also looking for those which i can warp around the whole mattress to prevent spills etc...

I cannot remember the Algo cabinets original price liao. For Toyogo 5tier cabinets, it's abt $79.00 b/f disc. After 20% disc, shld be $63.20,

For Algo cabinet materials, it attracts dirt more easy bah cos I have a similar one but very small de for office use and it does attract dirt more leh.

Ok, I am going to ask a very stupid question. Do you put the waterproof sheet above or below the bedsheet? If you put it below, then it can only protect the mattress and if there is urine leak, you will need to wash both the bedsheet and the waterproof sheet.

But if you put it on top, then not nice.

WoW! You're such a positive and jovial person unlike me! :) From the day i was born, i never stop worrying. HAHAHA. And i'm always so negative. Though trying very hard to be positive now lah... hahahahaa.... at wk34, baby is 2.6kg!! Woah..... really a little big if it's for my build. My friend just delivered last week with her baby weighing abt 2.6kg and she's slightly skinnier than me lah... so +- for me, should be quite big for me. LOL! Actually my baby also head down already... i could feel punches at the bottom left or right, then kicks at the top right near my rip cage... then at times i feel the whole tummy hard hard like his backbone... is it his back is facing the front? then when it's not that hard, his back is facing me again? I also no idea... still trying very hard to figure out which part is which part... LOL! Actually now i only in wk30.. but i getting quite "BIG" and clumsy... ytd i almost slipped and fell in the toilet while showering... i got a shock! I hope i didn't scare my baby!! And luckily i pulled the pole near me... or else i really have no idea what will happen.... it's really scary!!!

According to the BabyCenter average fetal length and weight chart, 34wks bb is supposed to be around 2.1kg. So mine is 0.5kg "overweight". AGAIN. He was also 0.5kg over the average weight at our 31wks checkup.

Just a note: take care not to get ripped off by dishonest spree organisers, ok? Some of them charge damn high exchange rates, and I suspect they don't split shipping costs fairly. Ask Jul_04. She got firsthand experience already.
