Why must do urine test?

Ya, i also realise i am starting to like sweet stuff. Try Ribena light, it's not as sweet. And i will further dilute it with plain water.
 
Princess, yes, both of us will visit gynae this Saturday..

I don't like plain water and rebina as well. Not sure what else to drink...

At 8 weeks, it's big enough to do tummy scan, no need for V scan already. But I aws do scan then do urine test leh, not the other way ard. Maybe KKH got opposite procedure?
 
had a scare this morn. suddenly got spotting and when i wiped i saw a lil red blood. a bit panic cos i never spotted and the only time i spotted was the time i miscarried. i tried to keep calm, said a prayer then sent my younger boy to school then i headed straight to gynae's clinic.

Thank God, everything ok, baby is growing v well, bigger than by gestation. im 9 wks today but baby's size is 9.5 wks. when i saw the heartbeat, i was so relieved!! really thank God baby is ok. also saw fingers, toes and baby even moved his hand during the scan. baby measures 2.6cm now.

gynae said cause of my spotting is my low lying placenta but he said its harmless and will stop in few days as the placenta move upwards. gave me duphaston.

i always clear bladder then do scan leh. my gynae still did v scan for me even though im in 9th week! and he got the most hi tech machine in singapore somemore!

Urine test if to test glucose &amp; something else, I forgot what. Just pee on the stick, &amp; it it doesn't change colour, it's ok.

anyone "pin xie" here? i'm q bad leh.. when i took hep b test, to extract 1 small testtube of blood.. took me 3 tries coz i faint everytime aft a bit of my blood is extracted.. tink i better tell my gynae to hav extra blood packets for me next time..


btw, can parents be A+ and B+ n baby be O+?

Hmm... i think its their regular basic thing to do. To check if urine test is okay? i also not sure. Must take height and weight also.

I think my ribena quite diluted. HAHAHA. Too sweet also cannot. Must be moderate. LOL!

she put something long long inside me. That thing look like pENis leh. I told my hubby he laugh like mad. -.- It's vscan! Cos gynae say 5w1d too small, only vscan can see something. So she did vscan lor. And i kept asking her, pain anot pain anot.... -.-"

Whew! That's a relief. Thank God ur BB's alright &amp; is growing so well. Scary when we see "red" right?

I guess V scan is more accurate lor. But most pple r not comfortable with V scan.

u anaemic? in all my previous 4 preg, previous gynae always tot i anaemic cos of my blood test result. its only after i switch to dr chan that he found out im not anaemic, instead i got blood disorder called thalasemia. imagine my shock lor, living for 30 yrs then being told i was born with blood disorder. thats why my platelet and haemoglobin is low and i dun need iron tablets for my condition. in fact overdose of iron will worsen it!
 
I still not sure about my EDD yet, as i have not visited my gynea yet, base on my calculation, it should be before 1st Oct. Hopefully to give birth on 20th Sep as well.. easy to remember 20.09.2009. haahaa

Ur qn abt the blood type v cheem leh.

Hey if u r anamic, ur gynae wud prescribe iron tablets for u. But they r v heaty &amp; cause constipation, so be prepared.

U nvr knew u had thalessamia??? But I tot 4th mth got this blood scan that will scan for this, incl rubella, syphillis, HIV, HepB etc?

yes! i was quite woried lor even though i told myself everything will be ok. gynae also steady lor, said dun need worry cos placenta will move up these few days. also said rest well but dun need to confine myself. he even told my hub dun need to be monk!!! u get what he mean not?? haha so funny.

i dunno leh. nobody told me. i dunno i got it from mom or dad cos none of them knows also! then my previous gynae said im anaemic cos of low haemoglobin but last preg when i switched to dr chan, he saw my blood test results and ordered to do thalasemia test. then hit bingo lor.

My hb's parents are A+ and B+ and my hb is O. can't remember if he is O+ or just O. LOL! So its possible. I ask the doctor many many times already. HAHA. So my hb not picked from the dustbin. wahahahaa.

Though EDD is 18sept, also not sure if will zunzun 18sept or few days before or after. 20092009 nice hor. wahahaa.. talk to baby lah... :)

i heard the urine test they want us to take is to check if it's normal or what...

now i'm taking duphaston 3x a day, folic acid from 5mg to 10mg a day.. B6 vitamins.. tat's all..

oh ya.. any mummies here tried e child gender prediction chart??

i wonder how to use.. suppose to match age against mth i conceived.. suppose my LMP is 24th dec 08.. but ovulation ard 9 jan 09.. so i shld look at dec or jan? or dec since 24th dec - 9jan 09 is lunar 12th mth?
then oso look at my chinese age (real age+1) at mth of conception rite?

Oh I think the detailed blood test is optional one, so maybe that's why urs wasn't detected lor.

My poor hubby has been a monk since my spotting scare before CNY. He has been asking whether he can get special V Day present hahaha.

think the urine strip test when bb bigger or when u take package then will need to do for every visit? Cos for my 1st one i also do for every visit to gynae.. but for my current one.. no urine test yet ley..

I'm getting so bored at hme.. but it guess its def better than being in office if not once every few mins will need to rush to the toilet.. and every two hrs will need to go find food to eat

Me also abit worried when i read about the size. Mine is only 4.9mm at 6w. Half the size of some mummies here only.

U're gog for massage? I asked my gynae, she said massage is ok, as long as the therapist doesn't use those essential oils and not to go for those aromatherapy type of massage.
 
har? really? but previous post say must be train for pregnant ladies? Dun think my facial one is being train for pregnant ladies ley.. but so so tempted not to tell them so that they will still massage for me.. but then feel unsafe lo.. dun wanna regret in case anything happen to baby..

think different gyne have different pattern. hehe. so when i past the 12 weeks, i will get tested for every visit till my bb is born.

My gynae did mention that shd be trained to handle preg ladies, &amp; as we get bigger, we prob need the massage bed with a hole cut in the middle for the tummy.

But those advice is for body massage. For face or shoulder, no prob, bcoz not near the sensitive tummy area mah.

I have been asking my hubby to massage my feet &amp; sometime slower back, to ease the soreness. It really helps me to get a better nite's sleep. And I feel less sore &amp; irritable too. Dun think anything bad will happen lah.

Maybe gynae help u save money. Coz package start from week 12 right? Before that, every urine test I had to pay $8+gst haha.

Approximately lah. Sometimes a bit slower, sometimes a bit faster, but roughly ard 1mm/day.

I rem I was 3mm at 5wk 6d, then 11mm at 7wk 3d, so that means I grew roughly like that lor.

1) how long does the heavy menses last as hate to go out if got heavy menses? Really very heavy? My doc say menses shd last 4 only 1 wk,really?
2)is the cramp very painful until u cant walk and work? How do u ease it? Did doc give u any painkiller to ease it? Wht does the antibiotics 4?
3)did u go straight to work or rest 2days at hm? I intend to take mc for 2nd and 3rd day of menses fr my gp dnstair as lazy to go all the way to gleneagles.. Not sure rest 2 days enough or not.
4) wht confinement food did u eat for that 1wk(1wk enough)? I got headache if go work as outside dont sell confinement food.
5) does ur af comes exactly after 1mth after ur mc menses? Or Will the af goes haywire?
6)how long does it takes 4 u to conceive again naturally? Pls share ur tips on how u tiao ur body as i hope can conceive soon?
7)is it true after mc, we r more fertile?

I didnt get any mc fr him due to i am not doing any d&amp;c, jus let menses come. Also not sure when menses come.. Even if come,sure heavy menses, will not want to travel so far to gleneagles to take mc,think will jus see my gp dnstair 4 2 days mc..thk u gals so much 4 ur concern.

I try to answer to the best of my experience. But anything u not clear, shd not hesitate to call ur gynae.

1) The menses is heavier than normal. But not so heavy that u will bleed like mad. Maybe the first 2 days u will need to change pad every 2h, after that it will become lesser. Mine cleared after 6 days, then just spot here &amp; there for another 3 or 4 days, then no more liao.

2) Not very painful. Gynae told me I can take ponstan (menses cramp med) or panadol. So I took panadol to help. The antibiotics is to help prevent infection. If kena infection, then womb will be affected mah.

3) Gynae gave me 2 weeks hospitalisation leave to rest at home.

4) I din really eat confinement food. But I drank black chkn soup once a week for about 3 times, that's all. If u cannot boil any, drinking the ready made chkn essence is better than nothing.

5) AF came ard the ame time next mth. My cycle din go haywire. Maybe it's bcoz I din do D&amp;C &amp; it's natural "clearing" byt the body.

6) I din TTC as that was an accidental preg. I recently decided to TTC, &amp; got preggie after 2 mths of (want,dun-want kinda not reallt trying) &amp; 2 mths of serious trying.

7) I also heard that after m/c, we are quite fertile. But it's also impt to let the body recover, if not, if we get preggie again too soon, the body might be too weak &amp; got higher risk of m/c again. If natural clearing by body, gynae said can try after 1 AF. If D&amp;C, gynae advise 3 mths.

Hey, no worries, anytime u feel like talking to someone, just PM me if I'm not ard or if I miss ur post. We're all here to help.

But I advise u to get some mc to stay at home. At least a week if u can, coz I rem I was very tired during the first week. If u dun wanna go gynae, see if GP can give u the mc.

i went for massage before at 5 mths preg. yes must look for those certified can do prenatal massage. i lied sideway leh cos cannot lie on tummy lah! even if got those hole for tummy also will be very uncomfortable for us

Oic. I heard that nowadays, docs aws try to get pple to go for the detailed blood test so that they can detect all these things. In fact, I heard that some pple actually go for blood test to check all these before getting preggie, in case both the couple got thalessamia carriers.
 
shit.. juz realised that certain aroma oil have to be avoided during pregnancy! Cos I really got disgusted by my shampoo's smell.. feeling nauseous everytime i kinda even smell the faintest of it.. so hubby went dripping some rose aroma oil around my working area... den juz now i read a post about no aroma oil massage so tot mayb can check out about aromatheraphy oil.. den to my horror.. ROSE is a NO-NO during pregnancy! now i haveta tahan my smelly hair..&amp; gotta quickly disperse the rose! argghhh.....

Hee... i went to do premarital check up with my hb mid of last year. :) I think they did check for all those basic things. But never do any scan like my friend. OHH i did papsmear too! Now i remember what is this called!
