for ordering, unless u wants them to prepare everything tat u need during confinement, tat means from red dates, longans, tonics for consuming and herbs for bathing...i gt lobang...usually i juz get my hub to call them to place order after i haf delivered, then my hub juz haf to stop his car by the roadside, pick up the stuffs, pay and go...Bt tat medical hall is at Bt Batok de...

To wear / not wear panty after birth
so far all my deliveries nurse never wear anything for me leh! maybe they find it troublesome lah. already gotta clean up so many things and so much blood still bother to wear panty for u meh? they just loop u into the pad. i dun think anybody will be walking ard with that soaky loopy pad wo panty after birth right? so once u r allowed to get down the bed can go and change to ur normal pad lor. try not to get those netted material one i find its v irritating to the skin, get those cotton ones. modess and sofy r good. dun have to worry abt staining lah cos as what girly said, hosp will provide u with the blue mat. if u keep wearing the loop type sure stain one lor. that darn thing is soo thick and somemore gotta make sure it stays in the centre if its out of place ur blood will drip elsewhere other than the pad! first few hours sure bleed extra a lot so dun worry abt it. the nurses r v used to changing stained sheets dun need be shy lah. most of them have been there done that too.

err.. it makes sense to wear a top and bottom pj or wear top and long pants. try not to wear dress type cos when u bf u need to lift up ur whole skirt to reveal ur jelly tummy after birth and ur panty etcc... unless urs is a nursing dress lah. or can get those dress type of pj with buttons then just unbotton when breastfeed. bring ur own pj becos the hospital gown if im not wrong is those tie behind type right so when u walk u will reveal ur sexy nice ass haha... unless u dun tell me u will be sitting n lying in bed for ur whole duration stay.

It's good to wear dress pyjamas with buttons in front, but for me, i very chor lok one.. i have to wear pants inside.... or else everyone can see my bottom!! Unless it's only me & hb, then i just wear my panty! hahahaa... luckily i have the habit of wearing pyjamas... at least not so xinku to find suitable ones to wear at hospital.. my hospital ask me to bring my own... :) where to get those disposable mat to protect our bedsheet??? One size fits all ah? can put both for our use and baby??? Got any brands or what?? I never go notice all these before loh... so i look so confuse!

I think i would prefer wearing my own.. that time i admitted to hospital at KKH, i don't know how to tie the clothes.. end up here drop there drop.. make me look so sexy! hahahahahaa.. then the nurse come and help me wear... and she say, FIRST time in hospital? -.-"

you can get from any pharmacy. they're called incontinence sheets. they come in blue and yellow (different sizes).

NUH provided me with top and bottom pajamas when i was staying there. i only wore the ribbon dress when i was in delivery suit.
 
ling> for plain ones, u can get from baby hypermart. think in a pack of 3. comes in pink, blue n white, all in one pack. i wonder y dey pack de colors this way. abit wierd y i wan pink n blue -_-" keke. nevertheless, only 1pack 10bucks. so i bought 1 of those too. but these plain ones are only available for 0-3mths. any ages more den dat, dun haf this plain design.

Cotton type more ex but wouldn't the paper type tear easily? As for the size, should I get the size now (pregnant with tummy) or 1 size smaller? Assuming after delivery should be "slimmer" ba? Haha I dunno.

Experienced mummies,
So after delivery, nurse will help u wear pad w/o panty and u will bleed and might stain the bed. Plus I need to garung gabok try to breast feed, sounds like it's not a good time to have visitors hor? How did u guys handle it? Tell visitors to come only on 2nd day? Or tell them not to come?

Same like me, i also have no idea what size to take. Wait buy too big, loose then drop. Buy too small, so uncomfortable. -.-"

Initially i wanted to discuss with hb not to let so many visitors come but i think it's impossible! because usually it's the family and relatives come and spend the LONGEST time... and making the most noise! They think they come for party.... that's for my case lah! not sure about the rest...

I wont be getting the maternity pad too.. real uncomfortable.. hvnt got overnight pads yet but from the recommendation here.. seems like sofy is a gd choice.. will be getting paper panties too.. think S size is more than enuff ley.. papar panties are always so big even if its S size..

princess, dun think the incontinence sheets are washable ley.. its use n throw one...

went for my gynae chk up yest.. ah boy is at 28wks and weighing 1.1kg.. finally it reaches the kg stage.. no longer in grams! hehe.. haiz.. n my gynae seems determine to 'cut' me up.. no much intention to let me try and go thr normal delivery.. damn sad..

rach.. e guy came n did my curtains yesterday liao.. hehe.. not too bad la.. quite like the one in my living rm.. blends in well with my wall colours.. Finally I have curtains for my living rm!

for the latest pricing of glen E.. my frien delivered last mth, 2 bedder, normal w epidurial, no extra stay for bb. no jandice etc, total bill is $3.4k... anyone know hw much we can deduct from medisave? my friend deducted $3k! she was surprise that can deduct so much and thus she only paid $400 in cash.. tt seems very cheap for glen E ley

i think it free size. on the outside packaging got says for expectant/ maternity. it in cotton material.. bought 5 packs during BHG 30% sale.. haha... but i think i better buy a bit more just in case.. :p

tummy downsize back to 4/5 mth preggie size.. but soft and jelly.. saw my fren one in may :p

Anyway, some disposable panties got sizing. Some are Free Size. The ones I saw yest, only the 100% cotton ones are Free size.. the rest got size according to ur waist length or hip size de.

The XS(2-4KG) i mentioned is for the diaper covers, not disposable panties.

I buy mine from Kiddy Palace. It's the V-kool brand, abt $4.90 for 5 pcs. It's reusable also, so if you want, can put into washing machine before wearing it again. I tested it when I had #1. Can withstand up to 6 washes!! Hurhur. So if its not too stained, I'll just wash and reuse until it cannot be reused. Very economical and environmentally friendly!

Also, its made of cotton so its super comfy and not scratchy and easily torn like some of those cheaper paper disposables.

One of my friend delivered at KKH TPS, total bill abt 4K+ leh... 2D1N some more... she got take epidural lah... deposit she placed was about 2K...

Then i check out what's the deposit for ESH... about 1.9K for 1 bedded... how about the rest??? is it all so ex?? Hopefully can get some refund from the deposit after deducting from medisave loh....

If this thing with the H1N1 doesnt get better soon, it's gonna be 2 visitors per patient (I believe that's already the case now) so likely it'll only be family visiting. So I guess the ladies have not much to worry about.

The one i bought can be worn below the tummy one. And its free size. I dare not buy too many first. just bought 1 pack so i can open n try on. If it doesnt fit, at least not so heartpain lo. U can also use measuring tape and measure urself first ba. just measure below ur bump...

Princess Update: On my gynae appt last Monday, She was 1.1kg at coming Wk 28. That's healthy, is it? My friend told me to eat more and I wonder why.

Confirm most mommies would be able to wear. There are 2 types for sale @ Kiddy Palace, one is plain white cotton with colored waist &amp; leg bands, another one has small polka dots all over the panties. The polka dots one is slightly larger cutting than the plain white ones, even though both state it's for UP TO 42" WAIST. I find the elastic parts for the polka dot ones more stretchy and comfy.

Update of my princess
Went for my gynae appt last and my princess is 1.65kg at 30weeks (average weight is 1.5-1.6kg). Gynae say my princess's head is down and if she remains head down for my next appt which is 3 weeks later. Most likely i'm able to have normal delivery.

Gynae ask me to start to do some exercise so that i won't be so xin ku and got no stamina to push during delivery. But i very lazy leh. heehee :p

Maternity pads
Thanks princessxiaomeo for asking the question abt maternity pads as i've got the same question as well. heehee.

Think i'll just buy 1 pack of the maternity pad and will continue to use the normal pads when the flow is lighter.

Disposable panties
I prefer to use cotton dispoable panties altho it's more expensive. Find it more durable as compared to paper ones. Paper ones i tend to tear them very soon after i wore them. Mayb cos i more chor law. haha

If ur tinking of getting the 100% cotton ones, I only saw one (brand - Hi Jean) at Watson's Tampines Mall. Its free size.. from waist 28-42 inches.. $4.50 for 5 pcs.. I tried one on yest n it fits nicely just below my bump. (I dun like wearing anything above my bump). Its plain white with light colours at the waistbands...pink, blue, purple, yellow n green. U can check it out at watson's causeway pt since ur going there...

Yep.. The Karmy Brand I saw was at metro Causeway Pt. Go check it out ba.. For me, I intend to get the nightshirts from mothercare. The outlet at Tampines Mall dun have my size.. If ur going causeway pt later, can help me check got my size ma?
