kiki: other leg!!! =(

the right one is the weak one. left one was fractured in 1996 becos stupid right one twisted and left got stuck in a drain and didnt come out when i fell.. so now poor left is also weak... grhh... stupid me..

but i fell yesterday cos i was putting more strain on right cos left pain mah...

oh no... yah better dont carry her and walk around, too much strain especially going up/down steps and difficult to break fall cos you want to protect her mah.

thanks for your useful information. may i know how many jabs bb has to take for the 13-valent pneumococcal ?
 
BB, the 13-valent pneumococcal is a booster? Jovia total need to take 4 jabs for pnuemococcal cos she took 1st jab when she was 2mths old. last jab will do it nxt wk.
 
Anyone here also has thumb suckling baby ?
Since she was young, Nat has been a thumb baby, sucking her thumb when she is sleepy or hungry.
But recently she has been using her thumb as a stopper. When feeding her cereal, she will plug her thumb in and refuse to take any bite despite me trying to interest her with new toys/distraction...haizz..makes feeding her so tedious..
But she is ok with porridge..
So I might stop her with cereal and maybe try to cook pasta or mee sua for her.Maybe she is sick of cereal already.
Care to share any receipe for pasta or mee sua ?
Just need soup base will do ?

For pasta, I cooked & puree frozen mixed veggie (sometimes adding pumpkin) and use it as a pasta sauce for Zachary. Sometimes I do give him tomato pasta sauce. Depends on baby's liking.

As for mee sua, soup base will do.

Last sat just bring Regan for the 3rd jab.
Regan has taken all the 3 jabs i tot already done?!
Regan is 10.3kgs and 77cm now

my friend just taught me a pasta dish that i am going to try this weekend:

ngredients
1/2 cup button mushrooms, cut into small pieces
150ml full cream milk
25g cream cheese
2-3 tbsp cheddar cheese (optional)
1/2 cup salmon (optional)
1/2 glove garlic (optional)
pinch of black pepper and oregano to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
cooked pasta (suitable amount)

she sauted the mushrooms and garlic. heat cream/ formula milk and add in cheese, added some pepper and oregano and added in sauted mushrooms. Then put pasta, mushrooms, sauce, salmon and cheddar cheese into dish and baked till cheese is slightly brown.

But i'l modify this a bit... no need so much cheese..

AM going to attempt this for shayna.... think she and i are bored of porridge liao..
 
another receipe for spaghetti...

Ingredients
2 mid size tomatoes, remove skin and diced into small pieces
4-5 tbsp stock
1 tbsp tomato pasta
60g minced meat
1 glove garlic
1 tbsp olive oil
pinch of pepper and oregano for seasoning
cooked pasta

Method
1. heat the olive oil in a small saucepan, add in the garlic and cook for a min.
2. add in the minced meat and seasoning
3. when meat is almost cooked, add in the tomatoes
4. cook for another 5 mins
6. add in the stock and bring to a simmer
7. add in tomato paste and mix well, cook for aother 2-3 mins
8. serve with cooked pasta
 
13-valent pneumococca jabs.
My girl completed her jabs except booster. Current jab is cant remember 7 or 10 valent. Newly added valents to 13. The new 13valent stock will come in in one month time. PD said it's not a booster but can take one jab to replace booster. Good enough. For those babies who havent completed the jabs. It'll be good to ask your PD if can switch to the new jab. Those have not taken the booster, maybe call n check with doctor first if the new 13-valent stock has arrived before u bring baby to the clinic.

we upgraded his infant maxi cosi to a toddler nania (french brand). he hates being in both car seats. we tried toys & everything but fails. my boy just hates being confined. he can't keep still for 5 mins or should i say 3 mins. when can we start putting it forward facing? maybe i should change direction.

we brought ethan to resorts world to stay for a night. luckily we brought his 'smelly' bolster aka his best fren along. cos he was not used to the room at first. after he explored & looked ard with his 'buddy', he had enjoyed himself a lot there! & we all had a great time!

the other time he hated was the shower. he was scared of it. haha!
 
dockeymami, last jab maybe can check with ur PD first if can delay till the 13-valent stock comes in. I'm delaying my girl's booster jab to 15months. By then hopefully the stock has arrived.
 
u all won't be able to imagine how active my boy is. he can't even sit in the stroller for 5mins. waste our $$$ on the quinny buzz. he doesn't take bottle, pacifier, stroller, car seat.... he doesn't really like toys, plays with adults' things..... i wonder if he's a baby for the past 12 mths... haha! i've lost all my weight & even slimmer than before preggy going after him...
 
zen: shayna doesnt like her toys too.. she prefers to play with non toy things like earphones, remotes, keys.. (i bought a set of blank keys for her to play. at least if lost i can still go home.. but she clever, knows its for play she not interested!)

Exactly! Ethan likes to play wif hp. So i bought him a fake hp. who knows he recognizes it & threw it one side. He also likes to play with remote controls. But outgrew it. Now he likes to crawl to my retriever's bowl & play with the water & keeps asking my mum to feed it. He'll only take the key when he wans to go out. haha!
 
zen: i am tempted to buy those hp dummies those hand phone shops use (one near my work place selling) but i know she'll not wanna play with it... hahaha...

sharon: i think most toy stores should have?

shayna has one but only 3 keys, and got animals too. so can play piano and animal sounds..

I changed the direction think abt the time she was 9 mths. 1 yr old can already bah. My gal hated the stroller last time till we change to peg perego. Think more comfy so she's ok with it.

haha.. javier likes to play "non-toy" toys too.. especially the tupperware.. throw and let it roll then chase for it and can repeat it the whole house.. he always play with HB's hp too, dun really fancy his toy hp.. dunno drop how many times on the floor liao.. so nokia is a good phone to let baby play? drop so many times still workable but cannot be touch screen.. hee.. now HB buy iPhone4, cannot give javier play liao.. hee..

my MIL buy those normal ones..but MIC...yday my frend saw n say shld throw away cos poisonous?
Then accidentally one of the threw that piano n cracked so hb throw away but Ryan loves that toy
so dunno what to do? Buy the same or buy better one

I have email the GUG person in charge, we can pay the fees on the actual day of the trial class. she will reply everyone on the loop on the details of payment, what to bring for the little ones for trial class.

my hp, motorola slider Z3, is also a bb's toy, drop umpteen times on the floor too ... have used for 3.5 years, the phone can withstand wear and tear haha ...

your bb so fast outgrow the remote controls ! mine is still at that stage of exploring remote controls. your bb is smart, knows that go out must take keys, so cute :D

my bb is now curious about switches - power plugs and fans - *faint*
 
my previous phone was a LG touch screen which shayna loved...

then when i bought the iphone and let her have the LG, dont want!!

and with this iphone ah she always cancel my calls leh.. haha.

i will let her 'talk' to grandma or her daddy then she'll smile but try to push the phone away cos she thinks she can see the person face, then when she pushes it away she presses the end button.. hai.. hahah..
 
mummies, i called my PD's clinic SBCC Mt A. The nurse told me the 13-valent only coming in end of the yr..which is Dec. So she will chk & advise me later. cos our bb by Dec alr 17mths..if i'm not wrong the last dosage hv to be take between 12-15mths.
 
For the p-jab
the 13-valent is from manufacturer prevanar. If your little one is taking this brand then can mix and take the new batch

another maufacturer has 11-valent, manufacturer claims that cannot switch to other brands wor.
 
so mafan ah? got diff manufacturer? so confused.

BTW, the nurse has called me the vaccines oli reach SIn end of the yr cos she called the sales rep to confirm..they leave the choice to me to complete the current prevnar or wait till end of the yr for prevnar 13.

I thk i will proceed to complete prevnar when prevnar 13 out then take as booster.

my boy is super hyper too but surprisingly on the plane he is quite ok. I nurse him while taking off and most times he will be off to lala land when the plane starts to cruise.

On the plane alot of new things to explore and new "toys" to play (like the remote control, earphones, meal tray, etc) kekeke!

yah lor. Most vacines have different brands/manufacturers. so have to take note if you want to switch clinic half way.
i think most clinic will only bring in 1 brand so they dont get confused and mixed up the jabs bah. Still I will always check with the dr which brand he is using in case he switch brands without informing mah.

Can pay abit more for the children ticket if you want to secure a seat for bb.

but I cheapo de, always hope that it is not a full flight and I can get empty seat next to me without paying mah... kekeke!
so far only 10% chance lor... the flight I'm on is always full... haix....
 
BabyS, infant tix oli 10% of the adult airfare i thk for children tix is 50% of the airfare so i also cheapo got infant tix for jovia. She still can get the infant meal onboard & hv to requested for bassinet when u book ticket cos can diff by few hundreds.
 


KIki, ya i need to go back check the health booklet..cos i switched jovia to PD from GP after 2mths old
