deebee, i do hv a recipe..for the source it made of pumpkin & carrot. I will steam both ingredients then blend..so the source is abit watery cos i will blend tog wif the water used to boil the ingredients...

usually got xtra i will keep in freezer. for minced meat & cod fish jz cook before ur pasta is serve.
 


my girls doesnt like sweet potato.. pumpkin..tried couple of times when they started on porridge, not do not fancy it.

can they take pork liver now already? or mutton?

u gals funnie la... i dun let him watch cartoon doubt he know wat pikachu.. but initially he actually say ben dan (stupid) den now become pica dunno wat he is tryin to say lol~~~ dunno wat my IL have been teachin him also....

my boi like yogurt leh after finish 1 servin can ask for more the 1yr + 1 so small dunno can gave him 2-3 pack anot lol~~~

n my boi dun liek to chew if i gave biscuit he will chew but if porridge he will jus swallow.. tt day i deliberate gave bigger bite size carrot he still swallow n gave me a painful look bth~
 
did someone mentioned abt vacination for 12mths this mrng? i tink there's a 12mths jab.. n oso 15mth jab? i rmbr my PD said can do seperately or tog at 15mths.. so.. ya.. i'll be holding on for the 12mths..till 14-15mths den jit tao jab.

my girls oso dun chew food de leh! *pengz*.. no matter hw big spoon or small spoon of food go into the mouth, juz swallow!! *like animal!!!* (haha..ok.. wrong way to describe bbs.. like dat day my colleague scolded me..cos i said my girls walk like zombie!!! she said shld say like little duckling..hw can say so nasty ting! lol.. but really mah.. hahhaa... the hands reach out.. den stone stone de.. lalalala~)

oh.. hmmm.. i go hm n ask Mattea & Keona if they noe wat is "pica".. LOL~

the nurse must let BB try egg yolk...make sure no allergy before goin for jab??

Hi ladies,

Jus to share..at one point,i fed bb with pumpkin almost everyday (ran out of ideas mah) then when I brought him to PD for his jab n he was beside another bb,realised he is super yellow!LOL

Then aft a check with PD,he said we cannot feed more than 3 servings of carotene rich food (papaya,pumpkin,carrot)to bb a week.
 
How come 1yo still got jab? I remembered the appt card wrote Nov 2010 for the next jab, which is 15mths for ovann.

PJPJ, ya i saw it's happen to my niece also..they feed her too much pumpkin.

I usually gave like once during wkend cos i will cook for my girl wkdays she ate at in-law hs.

On & off i does check on her hands & feet where got turn yellowish or not.
 
Hi Reira and BabyS,

Zoo is a great place to go..we went 3 weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Do note there are alot of upgrading works in progress so u may miss out some stations. N u may wanna bring your own food and drinks,it is overpriced there.

Go take a look at the zoo website and take note of the feeding times-entertaining.

Another good place is the bird park,my boy seems to enjoy it better!He loves the penguins.
 
I have tried cai xin, brocoli, spinach but never try califlower, cabbage or kangkong yet. Usually I will steam the veggie for 5-10 minutes then I will moulinex into like puree and add into pasta or porridge. My bb loves it. I also will steam cod fish or threadfin or salmon and use finger to feel and add little by little into the porridge. He loves it too hehehe. Now i very lazy to wait for the rice grains to soften in 2 hours in slow cooker. Instead i grind it and mix with hot water and put in slow cooker. One hour later can eat already. hehehe

baby 1st birthday: i was in dilemma. My mil has been telling me she will cook this cook that on that day i was like how to tell her cos we have other plans. Was thinking of having a small celebration at home with caden and hub with a beautiful cake with simple decorations at home then proceed to SOL playground or A pince of salt for lunch. How to drop tips?? But can i get a less than 1 kg cake with beautiful cake, most of them need at least 2 kg, but how to finish??

I find that my supply is dropping.
Im pumping 3 times a day now.
Used to be able to get 200ml each pump, then become 180ml. Since yday, im only able to squeeze out 160ml....
its really SQUEEZE lor...haizz...
 
babies, i ordered a 6" 3D fondant cake wif auntie yochana @ $70 is a small cake for my gal this Thur. the thing is u hv to collect the cake by urself.
 
Talking abt zoo, wanted to bring Nat on her actual birthday to zoo on 30th Jul but it was raining the whole day!..hahahah...so till then..
otherwise it will rain when we plan to go for swimming....

previously 1 whole day can pump like 600ml
now 1 pump drop to bout max max 200ml...ss yo-yo
some days bout 100ml only
but my boy rejecting milk again so whatever little bit I pump still enuff for him

Denson has been having fever since last wed, on and off.. even had his party while fighting off the fever.. Doc say is false measles, not contagious like HFMD, just like normal flu kind.. we could only wait for the fever virus to go off by itself n he will eventually break out w heat rash n end of epidsodes.. till now we are still waiting for the rash to appear..

we brot him to KKH for blood test. We have been only giving him fish, carrot, n some greens... the IFC dun serve pork.. hence he seldom get his share of red meat.. end up, his blood test show slightly deficiency in IRON..

got a shock when the doc ask if any family history of Thalasemia.. i almost wan to burst out crying till he finish the whole explanation.. it was a bad scare one after another..

now tryin to add more red meat into his diet ler.. got to go back for another blood test in 1.5mth time to make sure he is okie..

Nat morning and night feed is about 180ml each time. In between the day, she will take some milk too, so now with 160ml per pump, it wont be enough for her. Guess have to supplement with FM...
Still thought I can last till she is 18mths but glad that at least I make it to 1yr
 
used to give him cereals for 2nd solid feeds..

just 2-3mths ago, the sch say he can take the sch's cereals like mashed potato, oats w banana etc, then we didnt provide the cereals ler..

these few days his appetite is affected oso.. drink halfway dun wan to drink.. used to be 180ml per feed.. now only finish 150ml.. n is always the 30ml left..

solid is worse.. i tink the no of spoons fed is countable by fingers... can see he is losing the fats liao.. no more chubby baby ler.. sob sob..

I tried to stop bf since Ryan was 8mths but he rejects FM
headache for me

Ryan just recovered from high fever...rashes broke out on his face n neck yday
he started having fever on wed..high fever up to 39.9 during weekend
I haven bring him to PD yet
hope his rashes r better

Didnt realise it was this bad.
Davis commented that Denson was not his active self when he saw him.
But lucky its not that serious...he will be alright soon..

hmm if the sch really did feed him with cereal shd not be tt bad mah... Kyler also drink v little seldom can drink 180ml mostly 120-150 x 3 times so i add milk to his cereal... but solid he ate alot thou.. nvm try to gave him more red meat n cereal hope he will recover soon...

cereal unless eat in large portion bah..

he is not tat seriously deficiency in iron yet.. minimum is 11, his test result is 10.5

if 1.5mth later it falls again then it will b alarming..

relax dun stress urself too much Denson will be fine:p in fact i dun gave Kyler red meat often cos my MIL prefer givin him fish so his iron is mainly from cereal n milk...

zelia also suffer from fever + rashes 2 weeks ago. Is it Called viral fever, the fever will on/off for abt 3 days n can suddenly shot to as high as 39.3c. I was so scare in the middle of the nite sent her to KK children emergency n done a blood test too. After the fever gone it will follow by rashes n it was all over her body. Face, hands, legs, body all kanna. The rashes got worst on 2nd day n slowly subsided on the 4th day. So dun have to worry just let them have plenty of water.

my bb got viral fever very early at about 6 months old his temp was 37.8 in the morning and we just gave him the normal med and thou it has subside but in the 2nd day it shoot to 39.4 he just stay in bed motionless scare me leh we then rush him to 24 hr clinic and was given nurofen we have to sponge him montior his temp once fever down his rash all out appear on whole part of body looks very ugly red patches and he is so fair nobody tell me what's that I got another shock gynae said it's false measles but not to worry it will goes off in a day or two
 
Last week I very sotong gave him a small piece of toufu where the soup got sotong and he got allegy his body got patches looks like mosquito bites but very big, use aloe Vera gel and he is ok. But today his skin swollen under his lower eyelids how come??? But eyes not red watery or discharge he still play as normal

Joyful: maybe u intro red dates into his meals since he doesnt get alot of red meat. It contains iron too..

When one is sick, iron drops too. My haemaglobin always ok one. Then durig the blood test at my gynae when still in 1st tri show i anemic!! Dr worried i had thalessemia!! In the end its ok. I suspect its cos i was sick then. If i anemic then blood bank wouldnt allow me to donate liao..

milk vol drop in each feed, but he will wake up at nite to ask for the missin vol..

have been waking up every hr after we sleep. we dun sleep, he dun gag, we sleep he will gag every hr..

btw my mummy ask mi to give Denson Ling Yang to get the fever down.. gav him 10-20ml ytd..

ytd morning was the last time i gav paracetamol, no fever thru out the day. the doc at KKH emergency ask us to giv him every 4hrly, amt based on his weight. anyway we didnt lah.. too taxing to wake him up, worse wat if he dun sleep after tat..

Denson was so chubby 9.5kg at 7plus mth.. drop to 8.5kg after taiwan trip (cos he kip sleeping, nice weather there). till now only 9kg.. Doc say is okie since his birth weight is only 2.6kg..
