baby learning to stand and walk: caden initally likes to stand and walk around the baby cot but now he likes to release both his hands and fall backwards onto the mattress, He keeps doing it and enjoy it. Is there any ways to stop him? we afraid he will hurt his head...

he may be a safe driver but others may not be. U go and watch the video that I posted in facebook. I was in an accident before where a speeding car just hit my car from the back. I was driving safely too. He was chasing another car. It was a bad accident. Thankfully my boy was in school. If he was in the car and not in the car seat, I'm very sure he would have been flung to the front and died. Dun take safety for granted.

yah... few months back my sis was following the traffic rules but a reckless cab driver turing right drove right in front of us.
my sis got to jam brake, luckily she is not moving fast, but the impact is enough to make me and my boy hit the front seat. Quite scary!
Actually wanted to go with the ambulance to hospital for further checking but the tp told us that if we go and upon investigation that we dont have a carseat, my sis will be charged!
In the end, he gave us a warning since he said were already taught a lesson.

I think u should just take this as a lesson. Yes u can try to appeal but ultimately it's still wrong not to have a car seat. The TP is just doing his job and in fact I think he is doing u a favour so that u will remember the car seat in future.

For many weeks after the accident, I tried to follow the carseat rule strictly => no carseat no ride, but its simply impossible.
like sometimes we go somewhere, then my dad or sis will suddenly call to meet us and then go home together. I cant possible bring the car seat along first... haiz!
At first I still stubbornly refuse and rather take MRT/bus/taxi/walk home eventhough we are going back the same place.
Then I also realised that that Taxi even more dangerous lor (cab drivers will not drive slower just because they have a baby on board!)

there's a car sear cum stroller thing that u can get. I find it's very useful for pp without cars. It's sold at baby hypermart.

cloudme> but sometimes is juz so not practical. if mine own car of cos i have a car seat. but sometimes i hitch a ride from others, how would i have a carseat with me? n even if i dun hitch a ride from others, i will take a cab, which also dun have a carseat ma.

birthday party finally over..
spam some pics..
venue:grassroots club childrens playroom .. very gd.. and big.. i think i have 32 kids that day??? and no body is interested in food..onli play..
cake - cupcake divnity... err beautiful cake.. but not nice.. think i will go back to pine gardens in future.. even though the cake is simple.. but theirs is tasty! no more home bakers :x

Oh .. no lah .. I've volunteered to pass the bday bash t-shirt to her since i stay quite near her. Tried to sms her but she din reply and she hasn't been in this forum for quite some time le. So was wondering if anyone knows since another common friend told me some spree-ers looking for her too.
Yr gal's bday bash looks fun and so many kids! I dun frens with small kids so i guess i can't rent the playroom unless he makes his own friends later on

u will have many kiddy friends in future.. frm this thread..
some of the kids who attended are my other thread kids.. we meet up regularly for playdates... playgrp,... kiddy gatherings.. or sometimes the mummies chill out by going for hotel/buffet lunch or meet up for dinner (w/o the kids)
the cake arr? err dry.. funny taste.. not soft type..

Thinking of getting cake from Pine Garden but yet to confirm design n flavours.
Have a few choices for caterer, but yet to call them up to confirm.
Most imptly have to confirm guest list first then I can finalise with the cake n cater...

Finally confirm the venue over the weekend... brewbakers @ Anchorvale CC. waiting for my hb to come back then confirm cos I know my ils sure got alot of comments one, then my hb can handle them.
I'm surfing the babyterroronline page now for balloons.
havent order cake... maybe go later.
no home baker for me, nice to look but not nice to eat.
still have some days to make those the 1st year photobook!

and they never come back to me with the design template for my tee...
