sharon, I was told by a friend here. Her bb has ecezma, to use goat milk soap and to give probiotics with colostrum from GNC which can also get from iherb (I got that for Ray), which can reduce the reoccurrence of ecezma, And she told me if ecezma is in the family line, take prebiotics and probiotics while trying for bb and during pregnancy, and the chance of bb getting it is very low according to her sis-in-law whose children are all free from ecezma though her brother-in-law has ecezma ( runs in her hubbyfamiily.)

yes, put in soup to drink. Be sure your baby is totally well before giving coz it aggravates the condition if still sick. Babies below 1 can't take a lot of other herbs.

Sandy, I chopped and mixed into his meal like porridge or pasta. Sometimes, I give him raw but at time I cook with his food but last to put in.

Can also toast them to give or stir-fried. Like if I give mashed potato with carrot, meat, I will add in stir-fried garlic and onion together with the olive oil.

And also can make garlic bread to feed baby.

sandy: I put in garlic into shayna's porridge too. half way thru cooking i'll put in a small clove of garlic to cook till soft. then when its soft, i mash it and serve with porridge. it makes the porridge very fragrant too!!
 
hi Pris, what is ba bao zhou? how do u cook the fried rice? got to put a lot of oil isn't it and do you blend the rice?

btw, how do u all clean bb's teeth ah? do u use proper tooth brush and tooth paste?
 
how do u all wash baby's hair???

my girl's struggling to stand up everytime the water ends up in the face when rinsing her head... got a few times dropped herself in the water somemore..she never cry but i knw she is terrified.. i feel so sorry and worry for her..

but otherwise she is still happy to bath leh.. everytime undress her n bring her to the bathroom, she will clap her hands.
 
Smurf: Hehe for me, after i have shampoo him, i will say: are you ready for a smash smash?? then i use the fully wet handkerchief i start to pull the water to his head!.. hehehe.. he will like blink blink his eyes at look up, and when i smile at him he will laugh too...=))
 
she got lots of hair.. i need to use the shower head.. handkerchief is like cannot rinse the shampoo off totally leh? n i tot she is suffering frm hair loss due to inadequate rinsing?

but i need to shampoo her head lor.. coz she got lots of hair and her hair smells... nowadays i use different shampoo/baby wash for her

(to prevent getting used to one brand n really suffering frm hair loss kekekee)

since young, while most babies have their baby smell.. she onli has this smelly head smell kekekeke.. always chao suan if never wash her hair 1 or 2x per day :p

my boy also... too much hair and will smell by end of the day!
I hold a folded towel on his forehead when raising hair so that less water will get to his face.

My gal hair also smell of saliva n her perspire.
Normally i will rinse the handkerchef dry n standby 1st.. then i will count 123 and pour the water down from her head and quickly used the handkerchef to dry her face.
so far still ok.

smurfy> i let my boy bring a little toy with him to bathe. den daddy will wash his hair n bath him, when he's done, i'll wrap him with a towel n bring him to the room to change. he's ok. will sit guai guai while bathing in the tub. even pose to let us take photo =p
 
i use something like a cap (dunno wat that call, tight around his head) to prevent the water get to his eyes and face.. then i use a cup to pour water over his head.. juz that the cap muz hold tight, if not some water still will flow down to the face..

i use a small container to fill with water and pour over her. Somehow it's less traumatising than the shower head. My hb use the shower head and she screams all the time. I use pouring and she doesn't scream. Just that she will stand up sometimes. Then i will quickly wipe away the water from her eyes and she's ok again.

i'm also using finger brush, no toothpaste. No pt using toothpaste now coz they will only swallow. I bought my finger brush at Daiso. Only $2.

And made in Korea, not china. Yesterday my elder boy helped brush my gal's teeth. So cute.

the shower cap thingie i oso bought.. but she will pull it away nowadays.

haha, then no choice shave botak lor. Botak no need to wash hair. :p Just kidding. I guess u just have to learn to cope with her standing up then.

my boi love to play with water leh even i pour water over he will ignore me n use his hand to clear the face like adult n he love to stand in the tub when i carry him out he will scream n cry headache....

my boi still botak but also smell haha..
 
smurfy: my daughter also has a lot of hair. We'll let her sit on our leg then lower her backwards (with a firm grip on neck/ back) then wet then shampoo a bit then let her sit up and continue shampooing.

Then when its rinsing time, we'll lower her again and concentrate on getting rid of the shampoo on the top of her head. By then she'll be struggling to sit up. Then i'll put her into bath tub to continue rinsing off the shampoo at the back of the head.

she'll have lots of toys inside the tub to distract ehr. but she's ok with me pouring water over her. She'll even play with the water that flows down her face.

but anyway i think abit of shampoo left on head ok la. baby shampoo shuld be ok ba. or u buy the non-rinse kind? so even if leave on hair oso ok?

Regarding cakes, i've finally decided to get Andersen's Ice Cream Cake. Coz my little gal can't take eggs and Andersen is the only ice cream cake without eggs. I heard many commercially made eggless cakes aren't nice.

easiest bb??? he will scream n shout when i pull him out lo.. lately he really notti alway shout n scream even will throw thing out of his ploaypen.. tt day almost empty his bed...
 
btw rgdin the shower cap i saw some BP selling leh..

i usin the earth best to brush my boi teeth safe to swallow 1 with finger brush tt come with it..
 
Ive got the finger brush and earth best toothpaste but im not brushing Nat's teeth yet.
Im only using wet cloth to clean her tongue n teeth.
Do we start now ?
She has been refusing to open her mouth during shower time, keep struggling, twisting and turning and clamping mouth shut

sweetmama, ba bao zhou = 8 treasures porridge, fried rice = just 2 tablespoon of olive oil for a pot of rice (2 cups of grains), no much oil (using non sticking pan to fry).

Washing hair

Ray is ok with washing hair, I can just pour water over him or with shower head. Think he has exposed to it so frequent like drop him into water at the pool with one adult in the water haaahaaa,

He wipes water off his face too.

i use that too. from reira spree right? i start using when javier got 6 teeth.. now he got 8 teeth, dun tink can dun brush.. hee..

my boi also i was usin small towel to clean his mouth previously but he struggle n make noise so i try this earthbest tooth paste n brush n he love it wor maybe he tink i playin with him so open his mouth for me to clean can even use the brush to clean his tongue.. hmm it meant for 6mth onwards so shd be safe mah..

yes, i'm having some difficulty bathing my boy also! when i use the shower head, he doesn't cry. but jus tat he doesn't like the water flowing onto his face. he'll twist and turn... another workout on its own! *faint* clever to use this yellow cap.

tink my boy like to eat the toothpaste rather then brushing his teeth.. hee.. previously i oso using cloth but his mouth will be closed tight.. now i use this he will auto open his mouth..
