michelle, i think my son too fat liao thats y open... on the side... so far been using pet pet for day and mamy poko for nite... shall stick to it for the time being~
 
kiki, they will test us now. Ray loves playing on the floor and hates to be confined in the playpen now. He is also very mischievous now.

Jeni, Ray has been drinking from straw before 5 months. Just need to train a little. When we are out, it is so easy to latch directly in sling or ergo carrier. So glad no need to bring bottles and stuff since he is still on full bm, I just bring a small diaper bag with some biscuits and some water.

and i got some galfriends volunteers to station themselves for free sticker tattoos for the 3yrs old toddlers..
 
Michelle, I would rather carry my girl cos it's safer. U should enjoy carry ur boy now cos guess very soon he will want the floor. Haha... my girl also stare at me when I imitate her, then when she realize I m teasing her, she whine n frown ...

Baby Ja, mine too. She will hold her fists and tense up both arms and legs n whine till u put her on the floor or hold her arms to let her walk. She is always very excited when you hold her hands to walk around n walk up/down the stairs. Guess my recent backache is from all these bending forward my back to guide her to walk.

I am getting the chinese restaurant want. Imperial. their food is good, i eat at the restaurant lah. not sure cater food is good. tink shd be good lah.

yah me very lucky.. coz voon actually called the other party to check whether the person wanna the slot. ended up they dun wanna. i immediately take over and sign the confirmation slip kekeke

imperial is good. tat's my customary venue. but i oso dunno the quality for inhouse catering.. so most proabably using tim delights which is part of the gim tim group. u opting for $12/$15 or $20 per head? wow lao, the $20 per head is aka eating full cost meal in their resturants lor hahahahha

my girl oso wanna carry alot nowadays since the maids change saga

i got to use the ergocarrier on her at home, to do some basic household chores.. so thankful did not sell it off to one of the mummies here.

smurfy, as they get older they wanted more comfort. I use sling, ergo carrier too to carry Ray while doing housework when he's awake. and when I complete housework, I let him down on the floor to crawl, cruise or even hold his hands to walk. He loves to play on the floor now.

actually if only for 8 a lot of option not necessary mus have a room:p if u like chinese food can try Peony Jade or Si Chuan Dou Hua restaurant at UOB plaza nice view n gd food...

gim tim delights no pork since it is halal caterer leh. so i choose the imperial so it will be cook at the restaurant at the grassroots club and not their central kitchen for halal lah.

smurfy, sking I piggy carry, ergo front, no confident to piggy carry but some korean mummies here piggy carry. They can put bb in alone using piggy carry but need dh to help if piggy carry using ergo.

Like wat piggy said, u hv alot of choices if u want vip room. Alot of chinese restaurants have VIP rooms.

Nmummy, I have 3 slings &amp; ergo carrier (this one kiki helped me get from tabao) was initially wanted to get for dh to use since he does not know how to adjust sling on his own.

thank you all for your valuable feedback, it drives my determination to put my bb in infant care. I was thinking of putting him once he turn 1 year old. sorry to hear from the nanny who is so irreponsible to look after the bb in such a irresponsible manner, feel sorry for the mummy and daddy.
I have found two infant care near my place, one is from PAP (about $500) and the other is learning vision (grassroots club) which is near my house. Is there a diff in the way they manage the kids? Can private and PAP use CDA account>???
 
For those ordering your bb's customised cake from home-bakers, do they show u a drawing of how they gonna decorate the cake aft u told them wat u want? Or u'll only be seeing the final result on the actual day itself?

For me, i dun hv any cartoon characters, just told her i want something sweet &amp; elegant. Not sure how she's gonna do it though, and i'm scared the final result is not wat i wanted.
 
pegsfur, Kai chose the cake design and figurines online and I send her a copy and the figurings.

Dh was suggesting this year we get ice-cream cakes for both boys' birthdays coz Kai's 1st birthday was 2 ice-cream cake of 2-3kg each as we have many guests.

I will be baking other hi-tea stuff like eclairs, cheesecake, tarts since we are having hi-tea.
