re: pooh figurines for Cakes
I saw in Toy 'R' Us yesterday, in a box got 3 small figurines cost $14.90. But the problem is in a box of 3, dun have piglet, tigger and pooh together its a mix n match thing. E.g. Pooh, Piglet and Roo. Another mix will be Tigger, Eyore and Rabbit.

we brought shayna;s cot down to the lowest level on thursday cos she's so tall we were afraid she might suddenly learn to stand and fall over the railings when we are not around..

The min we put her into the 'demoted' cot, she stood up!!! now is non stop standing ah! ahhaha..

Anyway shayna had cod fish last week and she had diarrhoe... dr thinks her stomach couldnt tolerate the oil from the cod.. any mummies have experience with such incident?
 
today, i oso dragged myself to work. blue..blue monday.

i think i understand what u mean on the socks. the knee socks i bought 1 pair during one of the bb fair but yesterday i saw it at kindy palace. the walking socks, are u referring to those socks base has the fiction type?

toy r'us know most people look for these 3 characters sure wont pack together... haha

i still continue to use bb laundry detergent for washing bb clothing separately cos i'm washing #1 & #2 clothing together so quite a lot. bb utensils, i use normal dish washing detergent.

so far ok for cod fish.
 
dont think my mum gave shayna the skin.. she steamed it separately and mashed it then add to porridge...

or maybe cos she's teething, then keep putting things into her mouth.. hahah..

shall try to give her threadfin instead..

I manage to check SMO bulk purchase for the knee protector, 3 for $5 hopefully that lady has stock.

yes the Pooh figurines abit scheming ya? haha but even if u get 2 sets it will cost $29.80 for 6 figurines? So cheaper if u just want to get for cake decor purpose. The size is abt 5cm tall.

is threadfin 'ngor he'? my boy dun realli like fish. he'll give the 'i wan to vomit' reaction but in the end will still take it reluctantly. When I was pregnant with him, i also can't take fish. even up till now! i feel like vomitting when i eat fish now! how???

yess ngor hee... when u cook u add ginger to reduce the fishy smell.. infact i am the 1 cant std the fishy smell in my boi mouth after he finish his porridge.. but i love fish la..

hahah i so far only let him wear once....hmm i find ok.. maybe i din let him wear for long cos hot mah.. maybe if wear longer will slip... btw the knee protector abit big so if ur bb not enough bah at the knee/thigh area may slip also..

i bought those 'knee' socks for shayna but never got to use.. i think she'll skip the crawling and move right on to walking..

i think the brand i bought was puku..
 
celine: she started standing on thursday (pull to stand) then last night i caught her trying to move about the cot (didnt get to move much but she was trying t0)

as for crawling, can get into the crawling position but seems to be stuck in reverse gear. Can only move backwards and not forward!

those socks u can easily get from those shop selling bb clothings & stuffs.

sometimes those carts in shopping centers also got sell if they sell bb clothings...

sometimes pasar malam also got sell...

isetan/bhg/metro/OG also got sell...

for knee protecter...i personally feel that not necessary...cos i bot 1 pair...

hahah cos the knee protector dun look as small as the pic got more bah den tighter wun slip mah keke.. Kyler can crawl v fast also n i dun like the sound when he rub the knee against the floor..

my bb stand first den he crawl 1 leh... now he can cruise n std w/o support for few sec but when nothing for him to support he will crawl so hard to say:p

dun worry...both my #1 n #2 all started crawling backward and later forward...

now #2 know how to crawl forward, will quickly crawl to snatch #1's toys lor... headache ...
 
piggy: Shayna's mile stones all different one leh.. haha..

She could sit very well from 3 months and only learnt to flip both ways at 6 months, while other babies did it the other way.

cloudme: she backwards crawl very long liao. Then when we entice her to crawl forward with something, she'll try then cannot, then she will lie onto her side and try to roll to get it.

initially i thot the knee protector shud be common, but i checked ard pasam malam, some bb clothes cart last weekend the seller looked astonished dunno what I am talking abt! :p

yes i dun like seeing my boy's kneecap reddish coz he tends to crawl so fast that he crawl out of the 2 playmat now crawling everywhere even to kitchen or toilet!! *faint*

my bb like to stand too as long as he crawl near anything that he can cling up e.g. TV console, sofa, balcony grill, etc especially the tv console he dun care abt his head at all, haiyo!

dun worry. sure she will crawl forward ...
my boy lazy...but he started when he lose some weight(when he recoeved from all the flu bug etc) and he was like raising his butt long long b4 trying tons of attempt to move forward.

yes, knee protectors is not common...
the one i got is from lucky baby...

wat i means are those walking socks(with friction base)...

but if u go to departmental stores like KP, BHG, ISETAN, OG, NTUC(some branch i saw they do carry) where there are huge amount of kid's stuff, u should be able to find a pair of knee protectors...

Like wat the others said, the knee protection socks can be found in shops selling bb stuff. But the price range quite diff, from $3.90 to $9.90 de. I bot the cheapest one, Ovann's ok crawling with it.

Ovann also no prob with cod fish & salmon. Oh, we also just 'demote' ovann's cot to the lowest level cos he's now trying to climb up by pulling himself & using the friction on his feet to the cot. Scary!

I think threadfin still ok, the worst is cod fish & salmon! After eating, ovann sure smells like a fish. Even my mum, who has a weak nose, will be able to tell ovann has been eating fish

I'll always need to add some of his shampoo/cleanser to his hanky b4 wiping his mouth to get rid of the smell.

i find cod fish ok leh but threadfin n salmon v smelly.. the wet market uncle teach us when we cook the fish remove the skin n add ginger (btw i usu use fish bone to cook the stk) in the soup now i find less smellt leh... u can try..
 
i having a home cooked lunch, cooked by my mum...

it has cod fish (left over cos didnt give shayna the rest. and nai bai stems (cos the leaves all used for shayna's porridge.) hahah...

technically a 'left over' lunch
 
smurfy: if its leaves, i'll chop. if hard veg like carrots, i'll either grate into the porridge and cook or cube, cook then mash..
 
Ginger & Fish,
i put a slice of ginger for brown rice or normal rice porridge or stock too. even panfried i put ginger without oil for salmon n codfish as well. I remove the skin of the fish as well, i eat the skin lah...throw away feel like waste food.

for leavy vege i chop with knife, for those hard one like carrot cut in slices short one n bring to boil with porridge.

I stay ard there. Mayb can do it there. I visit n feedback k.
I'm also thinking to do it at NSRCC chalet abt $700 for 2 nights really nice place but a bit too far thou.
