So sorry, would love to join the gathering but i am not clearing my maternity leave next week and my 16 and 23 is occupied as i need to bring aaden for his injection and need to run errands on one of the sat.
My mil just told me that all the clothes are getting smaller. I brought over a few big ones apparently it is still not enough. so i am thinking of heading down to the shop in bugis to get clothes for junior this coming sat.
Lately he has not been sleeping in the afternoon and demands to be carried and cries at times. May i know what could be the cause??

if you feel cannot pump out then latch that breast till baby clears it for you. Latching to clear is more efficient than pumping.

Wow, seems like almost all babies here are already wearing the big L size diapers! Mine still M leh. I think her bum is making her unable to flip over. I need to give her a gentle push and she would be laughing like one mad cow once she is sitting on her belly.

What a messy meal. lol. Side track abit; I am alittle embarassed to say this but my MIL has introduced this potty thing whenever she has that 'hmmmmmmmmmm' sound. * wanna poo sound. Whenever she wanna poo, I will hurry and grab the red potty and shove it under her bum. Surprisingly, she will just poo and make that 'hmmmmmmmmmmm' sound. According to MIL, she will transit better when she goes potty. toink. back to rashes; mine has like 1cents size rash (circular) around her face. Mum says its milk stains never clean properly. What's yours like? I apply the nappy rash cream and they disappear yay.

wow, seems like some mummies here are moving on to new jobs! A brand new year in a new job! Given you a choice, and if your hubby can support you all, would you want to be a SAHM?
I am saying this because, I am a SAHM and a WAHM too. If you are both, its really crazy. I look up to SAHM really! My mum used to be an orchid gardener in the Singapore Orchid Gardens and she still can work under the hot sun and take care of us (a whopping 5 naughty kids) I used to think that SAHM is all chilled and relaxed lifestyle till my baby girl pops. I am amazed with some of you! Manage to get preggy when you are still working! My previous job work day in and out.. so can't get preggy until quit job. lol. Seriously, I missed celebrating colleagues birthdays and company's x'mas parties!

Mummies, this is odd but I wanna ask. Do you need to pat your little one to sleep before placing him/her on the cot? I 'chant' the daily routine of 'ommmmmmmmmmm' here and there and she will sleep. I am asking cos I was so troubled! Yest. morning, my guy feed her alr, den placed her at the cot. She din sleep and kept tossing around, until i carry her and shove her straight into my boobs and she slept. My guy can't seem to cradle her to sleep, so he just place her at the cot (while i take my rest) and she can sleep on her own at night. Morning cannot, she toss and turn.

Any mums here is C-sect? Wanna know if your wound sometimes will tear alittle when you exert too much force? Mine still vulnerable; recently has small amount of blood cos I think she is getting heavier by the day.. 9+kg for 5mth = equates to a bag of rice. I am literally a coolie!

baby waking up more often at night
My boy has been waking up 6-8 times (including one feed at 4am) at night for the past 3 days. He used to wake up about 3-4 times (including 1 feed at 4am) only.
Think even when he was 1 month old he didn't wake up so many times. When he wakes up, most of the time I got to give him water, only 1 or 2 times i can pat him to sleep.. if no water given he will open his eyes big big and start to cry or scream..
In the past I managed to change his night feeding from 2 times to 1 time buy giving him water when he wakes up for milk, but I didn't expect that he will wake up so frequently for water... haiz any advice what can i do?

hahah i been enduring since preg till now... alr up my max liao now everyday come to work v torturing... alr not enough rest still mus travel up to park my car den walk a distance to my co.. anyway i did start job huntin n got 1 co offer me a post but the offer not v gd so i decline now lookin all over again lor...

haahha if my HB can support the family w/o my income i wun gladly be a SAHM...being a FTWM really not easy ... imagine beside doin all the thing tt i been doin durin my ML now i still gotta work when i am still in my ML at least i can sleep slightly earlier but now after work mus do this do tt prepare bb stuff for the nex day n all the household chores it v v tiring...
now my boi sometime i let him lie on his tummy n when he tired wan to sleep he will rest his head on the bed n i will lethim have his pacifier n pat his bum n he will sleep.. sometime i will carry him n pat him also.. initially my HB cant seem to cradle him to sleep also but after i teach him the correct way of carryin he can now cradle my boi to sleep

my boy is ok when my hubby cradle and pat him for bedtime but during midnight when he wakes up for his milk he'll scream like we tortured/abused him when i hand him over to my hb after feeding.. i wonder y!!

heng he made it b4 his 5th mth which is on the 25...
next mth he will be in infantcare ...
got to stand by lot of stuff to bring to infantcare...like my EBM and wet wipes etc...
think i going to get the wipes from guardian since now on promo...

my boi also leh he used to sleep thru 1 but this few day he will toss n fuss ard 4am or earlier n make some noise but his eye r close so i need to stuff pacifier in his mouth n pat him to make him sleep again.. i notice he woke up earlier too.. i wonder y.. seems like quite a few of the baby woke up more at nite wor..

Been really busy these 2 weeks, both boys were down with the weather and finally recovered.
Will be mia for a while as I am also starting to pack as we will be moving house next week.
I also started Ray on solid, organic rice cereals, pumpkin, apple and pear since Tuesday. He is taking like half a bowl of rice cereal mixed with bm. BM he is still drinking quite a big.
The LC here encourages bm as long as possible, told me, the bm is still beneficial up to 6 years old.

finally got chance to respond - the last couple of weeks have been mad mad mad.
hae serious maid issues, thinking to send her back. searching frantically for IFCs, the waiting list is minimum 6mths.
no other alternative caregivers, trying to make alternative work arrangements or else got to quit my job.
having renovation work & starting classes in 2 weeks time and spring cleaning - horror of horrors without a maid - anyone can recommend any part time cleaner that goes by the hour?
trying to train zac to sleep thru the night by reducing his night feed but it kinda back fired as he ended up waking up 4-5 times for water/attention instead of the normal 2 times at 12/1am & 4/5am for milk.
trying to wean zac but he still got phelgm - anyone knows if can continue weaning? or shd stick to milk feed?
also, when you introduce cereal - do you subtitute one of the milk feeds? that is, less 1 milk feed?
ah growth spurts also happen at 6mths also right? i was wondering if the walking up at nights is an indication of growth spurts, that is, he IS hungry and he NEEDs more milk feed.
Zac is feeding 210ml every 4 hrly.
another q: anyone's bb here holding their own milk bottle to drink? my little fellow just refuse to hold his bottle.
one more q: is it normal for them to start screaming instead of using their voice? - zac started screaming and using a squeaky voice to chat nowadays (80% of the time)- i can't figure if it's because he just had a sore throat or he's just having fun at mummy's expense. (mummy is worried he has a mickey mouse voice permanently)

Jul, haahaa...take a thing at a time, everything will be fine for me. Now I am busy with packing, coaching Kai with homeschooling work, cooking and playing and teaching Ray. The 1st week here was bad, Kai caught flu bug from the flight and Ray was having diarrhoea and here the paed just told me, they will be fine and just let the virus run its course without any mediations for both boys.
Now both are well and I am busy with packing, moving and then will need to go register Kai at the new school about 500m from my new house in Oz.
Thank God, Ray has became more independent, he is able to sleep on his own, play on his own and happy. Just spending some time with him in the afternoon reading, singing, playing and flashing cards.

Ever tried just patting him to sleep when he wakes up even when he screams?Maybe try this for a week,he will get it tat he is NOT getting any water and will give up n sleep.

Abt acreaming bbies,my boy also started screaming lately,think they are discovering this high pitch sound they can make.
As for holding bottle,when he managed to hold forr 4secs,DH and I already happy like mad! Haha..cos it is glass bottle so we said it is like weight training for him.

whenever my son scream i will scold him den he will keep quiet for a while n start again i tink they find it fun bth.. my HB go n record his cryin n when he cried my HB play it let him hear he will quiet down wor thing he scare of his own cryin haha.. i been trainin my son to hold bott since 2mth hold so now he can hold v well even 200ml milk hahah but sometime he will move the bott will fall otu of his hand n he will start cryin again keke...

I think you shouldn't rush him into missing night feeds. If he needs milk then give it to him. If you give water and he continues to wake up, means he is hungry. Water doesn't have the nutrients like milk, not full = fussy baby. Better to give him milk then like him fuss and cry, exp at night.
I too had serious maid problems. Not easy to find a maid who knows how to look after kids. That's why I change and change. Haha ... those on my FB will know. Want to try nanny instead of IFC? Nanny more ex, but if no choice no harm trying. My neighbour leaves her 2 kids with her nanny. more convenient too.

I've also tried putting hair tonic since the problem worsen. My hair is already quite short. If cut then CNY look like xiao woman, cannot la. But it's really getting worse and worse man! Sob sob! My hb keeps showing me my photo 10 yrs ago to show me the amt of hair loss, what should I do man! (Short of going to yun nan)

babymaking, i also left my boy with nanny. she is charging me @ $600 for weekdays (7am-7pm) same price as the IFC.. more devoted also la cos its 1-to-1

My hair has also been dropping like no body biz fo a few months....
But now it seems like condition is improving...seems to be dropping slightly lesser and I can see alot of baby hair growing, obvious above forehead...hahahhha...
Heard it will stop when bb is ard 6 mths.
Nat is turning 6mth end of this month, so i foresee my hair loss problem to end ard that timing too
