My boy also drinks very little. he cannot sleep through yet and will wake up to suckle for 10-15 mins every 2 hours.

Nowadays I dont wash the pump parts after every pump. Very lazy... after pumping, I just put the parts into a lock&Lock and store in the fridge. Will only wash once a day at night.

i realise my boy refuse to use btl if i'm the 1 feeding him if someone else feed him he takes it.. my boy also haven learn to slp thru yet.. i'm waiting for that day to come.. *anticipating* esp when i hav to wake up @ 6 every morning to prepare for work and to avoid the erp @ ecp... sianxxx

Janice, that's a good one...i will tell my boy next time. everytime, i get his daddy to hold both his hands to the changing mat, as if policeman pining someone down.

I left the room with Ovann on his tummy in his cot ... then when i came back, he's on his back already! Finally .. i see some progress with him making 360 deg flip ..... at least no need to rescue him in the middle of the nite le
Just fed him 1.5 tblspoon of cereal and he finished it all .. looks like he's taking it well

I tried to dream feed him at 11pm and he will only take 30ml. I think he will not drink alot at night. each time only 30-60ml. so that's why every 2-3 hour must wake up... @_@

Haha .. ya lor ... i was constantly racing with his thumb when i fed him. Cos if i'm slow in scooping the cereal & feed him, he will suck his thumb. Then all his hands kena the cereal.
Oh, Kyler dun like the spoon? Must jia you .. heh .. u still have abt 1 more mth to train him since u said u gonna start solids for him at 6 mths

hahah ERP is not so bad now my co dun allow me to park i mus park at nearby shoppin centre. which cost me $10 per day lor my heart v pain ah..

gin.. so funi, i can imagine it.. my boy starts talking when he is almost full.. den he'll look at me and smile den start yabbing on and on.. i can't even talk on the phone or to my hubby cos he'll think i'm talking to him.. den the milk will start flowing out of him mouth..

YES $10 !!! v heartpain.. thinkin of tenderin alr v piss off.. can u imagine my company they charge for parking 1($50 /mth) n lately they told me no lots dun allow me to park lor which is not true i can see many lots.. n it not even town area leh n yet chargin argh!!!

its a long time since i post here but if i got time i will come in to see see.. think it has become part of my routine to come in to this forum.. how's everyone??
me sort of settle down in US liao.. and i need some advise from u all..
starting of solid:
to start on 6 months means when bb is wk 24? or let says my bb is born on 19 aug than i start solid on 19 feb? is actually a few weeks diff so how u all calculate leh? than when u all start solid u all feed in ard which timing and how many times a day?

ya, he doesn't drink anything when i'm not at home lor. he'll scream his lungs out. so i've got to rush home every now & then to latch him. luckily i work around my area. at times when i really can't go home, he'll jus hv to endure lor. now tat i've started on solids, at least i know he won't get too hungry.

is there any breaks during training? i think even pumping for 15-20 mins every 3-4 hours should be ok. the trainer should be able understand lah.

kikilala, if you keep latching every 2hrs, it is encouraging your boy to drink little. That is what I read from the book. So try to drag longer so he feels hungry and drink more. Initially when you start to drag, his intake won't increase but after a while, he will drink more for each feed.

Kikilala, and the feeding interval must be 4hrly for baby to sleep thru. Last time I will feed at 12pm then when my girl wanna nap at 2pm I faster latch again so that I can nap Longer too instead of waking up at 3pm to latch. After I read that it's cultivating bad habit I stop doing it and try to drag to 4hrly feed, she start to sleep through after a while.

Michelle, I was doing the exact same thing as you last time, which is latch in the car before reaching the destination. But I stop doing it already since I started the 4 hrly feed.
My dream feed is at 12.30am and next feed would be 8am. Same as you, I don't feed my girl before 8am. But plus minus 15mins is ok.
We can adjust baby's feeding and sleeping to suit our individual lifestyle. So as long as we get some decent rest now to last through the day, it should be good enough.
I supposed maybe your boy is the flexible kind of baby. My girl used to be a very difficult baby and I only managed to put her on routine after she is 4 mths old.
