same same! i live for when hubs comes back from work or on weekends haha

true lah. ftwm is 24h job too. but.. i still feel that the consequences of abandoning work responsibilities is much smaller than sahm!
oh, no wonder he's very happy n amused when we tell him he's too loud n to keep quiet haha

so i'm trying very hard not to bao bao too much lor. when sam gets heavier, my back really will break
sometimes they can suddenly flip one. sam also couldn't flip.. then suddenly 2 weeks ago, he could! before that his neck was v weak. his head wud flop all over when seated in the bumbo.. but also one day, he suddenly can sit liao. but it sounds like ur bb is one of those who may skip flipping

my hubs will do these in the am b4 he goes to work :
1) feed sam
2) wash pumpsets n bottles
3) change diaper (if late, i'll do)
4) put sam back to bed (but nowadays sam doesn't wanna sleep, so i take over)
in the evening, he will :
1) entertain sam if he starts fussing while i'm having dinner / watching the 7pm show
2) take care of sam while i pump
3) feed sam his last feed (after i wipe him, change his clothes)
4) put sam to bed after changing his diapers (he norm sleeps by 10pm)
5) wash bottles n pumpsets
on weekends :
he'll do more feeds n play with sam more. but i aws bathe sam coz hubs has this strange idea that only 1 person shd do the job. think he's secretly scared of bathing sam haha

Pris, glad to hear you have landed safely. Hope Kai gets well soon. Yes sometimes teething does cause loose stool, the PD mentioned to me before.
cloudme, yes not easy to be a taxi driver as the lifestyle is stressful. My FIL is a taxi driver too and he works from 5pm-2am.

ryan flipped from his back to tummy n tummy to back before on different occasions...but since then he has not been flipping...he will cry n fuss when he wants flip...needs help to flip now

cos one nite i fall asleep while latching...woke up to find ryan's head between my legs...then body arch over my thigh n legs on the bed! tink i could haf easily squashed his head!!

Ya lor .. taking care of bb is not easy. Sometimes it's so tiring that i just want to relax a bit during dinner by watching tv or reading the papers at the same time but also cannot. Cos even when hubby looking after bb when i eat, if bb cries he will come & ask me why bb cry .. is it time for his milk etc ... It's like hinting to me to hurry up my meal & take over bb. I'm not asking him to do wat jul's hubby is doing *wink* ... but surely he can be more involved?

Kai was not able to sleep with all the baby's crying and Ray just covered both ears with his hands.
Lots of sick passengers on the flight so due to lack of sleep, he was unwell.

my parents are working and i dun want to trouble them, my in laws only want to help but got to follow their way, so means got to give baby sarong and pacifier even, i seriously dun want to ask them for help liao, when i need them they keep quiet end up i get a maid, so hopefully can just let my hubby quit, he cant help much but at least can supervise the maid..

Ryan is not the only one, Renzo is the same, sleeps around 830-1030, wake up at 330-430 to drink milk, then sleep again but this time he will wake up around 530 for water, then sleep till 6-7am only, very tiring also but no choice.. i also carry him to sleep in the past for about 1 hours plus around 5am, now seldom do that, he always end up in good position when i wake up but still a bit worried so try not to carry him to sleep now..

Previously Zachary can sleep through the night. but recently cant wor. like 2 or 4 will wake up. yesterday from 8pm - 6am he zzz and i dont remember feeding him (but left side like got feed him cos not that engorge whereas right side engorge).

a few days ago i finally took a video of Zachary flipping haha. he have been flipping but he always did that when i was doing something else and only saw the end result. but can tell he very lazy.

Reira, think they are very exhausted coz the bb girl at 12midnite till very active though her eyes super red.
I was glad that Ray managed to sleep through even in the noisy environment but Kai woke up a couple of times so ended up catching the flu bug in the plane.
Thought parents should be mindful that if their children can't sleep through on flight should tak day flight instead of nite flight.

Whenever he is back, he watch TV or online shopping lor. He will try to help but as he is unfamiliar with things, he will ask a million questions before doing it!

1st day back to work after 5 mths break

when I reached home, witnessed my boy flipped from tummy to back for the 1st time. so glad that I didnt missed it.

now you still pump ah? not direct latch? these few days i kenna engorge and just let it leak *lazy* now squeezing and let breastpad absorb.

ya, my boy teething alreadi. he's now 5months old. i read tat babies usually start teething between 6months to 9mths but it can start as early as 3months+. my mum & my in-laws said last time is 7mth sit, 8 mth crawl, 9mth teething.

my boy also not sleeping thru yet. he'll usually sleeps between 8.30-10.30pm, then wakes up bet 11pm-12am, another time bet 3-4am, then 5.30-6am. by 7.30am, he'll be fully awake, wanting to play. around 8.45-9am, he'll take a short nap then wake up around 9.30am for his shower.

If I am lucky enough, Renzo will sleep for straight 5-6 hours after his last feed, then wake up around 3-4am so i got to feed him milk, because he is so awake that giving him water or patting him also won't help him to sleep back, but if in between this 5-6 hours of sleep he wakes up once or twice, i will just give him a bit of water and he will go back to sleep.
but after the 3am or 4am feed, he sleeps for 1 hour then wake up around 5+, i got to give him water, then he wake up again around 6+, sometimes he can sleep after drinking water, but recently he will just wake up and play till 730am then have a short nap and drink his milk around 8am+..
so quite sad right, i meant looks like i just feed him 1 time during midnight, but in fact i got to wake up 3-5 times lor.. and the situation is not improving much, in the past when i feed him 150ml per feed during daytime, i got to feed him milk around 2am and 5am de, but in total also wake up 3-5 times so seems that i managed to cut down 1 feed but not much diff in terms of his sleeping pattern..

I have no choice but to pump. Coz I dun have enough milk to feed sam at each feeding. For eg, Sam drinks 140ml/3h now, but I only produce abt 100ml after 3h. So I have to pump thru'out the day, and use the nite time's supply to supplement the day time n bottle feed lor.

ya i am quite thankful tt my HB is willing to help out.. the only thing he will push to me is cleanin baby poo...hahah u know hor the 1st day he is back i ask him when i go workin how he goin to handle to baby bring to his mum house or he wanna take care of him alone? he told me he wanna take care of him alone n he gave up after 1 day haha so he understd how tough for me... i tink it impt to communicate with HB tt even SAHM need a break too...

i feel that hubbies need to be trained to look after babies. cos wat if we are ill etc? we aso need to go out to meet frens, do our hair, shop etc.. doesnt mean we will be slaves to the children all the time. guys dun need to express milk mah.. just change diapers, feed and play, and coax baby to slp. they survived NS which is so physically & mentally demanding.. taking care of babies should not be a prob too!
everytime i see those ang moh daddies.. they are the ones changing the baby's diapers, feed them etc.. they are so involved in taking care of their children.. i dun understand why chinese men are not as proactive as them.

hehe, my hb also does diaper changing, washing up of bb. during weekends, he'll bathe the 2 kids. now that h starts to take solids, he also feed her.

My BB cot is just next to my bed. When he wakes up for the 1st time in the night, I will roll him over to my bed and then feed him. But mine is a single bed so very squeeze.
My PIL always hint that i should bring bb to let them take care, especially now when I started work. heng now my sil preggie already, so their attention will be diverted.

my HB help out in household chores too...he is the one who tell me not to get maid. eversince move into our own hse for last 6 yrs, he do the sweep & mop floor, clean windows, clean aircon. bath, clean poo, play with them. the oni thing he cannot do is marketing on sunday morng, he duuno wat to buy & I hv to list down, type of vegetables, meat, fish etc to buy...i do for him for a mth, after a while i told him i run of idea leh, i do the marketing instead he take care of bb and my older kid at hme, he even lagi happi. when we hv oni one tat time, we go together, he will bring my no#1 walk walk lah,,, now hv a BB, is a challenge to bring 2 out.
