i tink hor no need to stuff urself with all the food cos not necessary wat u eat will go to ur baby... jus eat normal n healthy... cos too heaty also no gd leh...
 
<font color="0000ff">babymaking</font>, I am in week 35 liao and baby is 2.4kg at week 34. I kept talking to baby and pray that baby will comes after week 37. Coz dh will only be back on 1 Jul and need to self-quarantine till 8 Jul. So if BB comes after 15 July will be nice.

hang in there another 2wk+ after ur baby past 34wk i tink it ok for baby to come out liao.. do come in n chat with us if u r bored take care ya..

do take good care of yourself. yes, mothers are very wei da. onli when i'm pregnant then i deeply understand tat. try to talk &amp; encourage yr baby too.

dun worry too much abt yr baby's weight. mine is abt the same weight as yours. my baby is 1.7kg at wk 32. now i'm in wk 34 but i lost a bit of weight instead of gaining. gynae said there's no cause for alarm. if yr gynae din say tat it's not good for yr baby or tat yr baby is too light, u dun hv to worry too much. dun like let it affect yr mood &amp; emotions. like wat piggytoh said, jus try to eat healthy food &amp; drink milk. too much durians or heaty food also no good for u &amp; baby. heaty until u hv ulcers is really not good.
 
Pinkmama/Mashy, taking leave to rest is quite unlikely given my current work scope.. however my thought is to hang on there for another mth n request Dr to write a letter for me to go on leave earlier..

to be honest, it kinda disappoint me that my request to go on leave from mid aug onwards (due on 23Aug) n was rejected by my boss.. i got a very strange feeling that bb might pop early so i am even thinking of gg on leave from earli aug onwards.... it is jus a matter of who cover my duty.......

Zen, thanks for hte encouragement, i am trying to be very strong n keep a very positive mind.. i believe with my continuous effort in eating, i can catch up abit......

thanks for all who have dropped a note to encourage me.. i am indeed blessed to have so mani positive mamas around... hubby have been rather passive in order not to agitate me, hence this topic was never brought up since our discussion last morning....... gd in a way too, dun remind me of the bad.

if really cannot take leave early...then u can get ur gynae to write a letter to excuse u...
else if u really pop early, ur boss also has to let u go...juz try to be positive

hmmm, for me i think rest is the most impt beside eating...
rest will ensure nutrients to flow to bb...
so bb will grow...
althou my #2 is not that big...

LawShe, i think it could be your job very stress? As the rest suggested, u may talk to your gynae, seeked your gynae to give your HL for you to rest at home.

Is there anyone at your work site able to replace your current job? Sometime if your job is hard to get replacement, or your are the 'key man' in the project, could make your boss to reject your leave.
 
LawShe, my request to go on leave was also rejected. Furthermore, I am only allowed to take 10 wks of ML (since my boss told me 8 wks initially). So sianz abt it.

I might also ask gynae to excuse me for rest earlier.

<font color="0000ff">Lawshe</font>, usually, the gynae can help by giving you HL and allowed you to rest at home if work is too stressful that it is affecting your pregnancy.

<font color="0000ff">babymaking</font>, let's hang in there and pray for each other and talk to our babies daily. Our babies will listen to us. Keep telling babies, mummy and daddy love you and you are a fighter and be strong and courageous and stay in there for another couple of weeks.

take some liang stuff like barley, waterchestnut or coconut to balance the heatiness. At the rate you're going, it's not going to do you &amp; your bb any good by taking all the heaty stuff only.

Oh gosh! Hang in there. I had contractions at 10min apart for just a couple of hrs and i already cannot tahan and want epidural. Yours surely very bad since u can't have epidural now somemore.

I heck care what type of coconut. haha. So long as coconut, i just whack. :p But mainly the green ones coz i just buy them at the drink stalls.

haha, sudddenly u reminded me of the time i spent in the hospital on christmas 2005. Also had premature contractions, put on drip and whatever that meds are called and still could feel the contractions coming. Pain until wanna die, but cannot let bb come out, cannot take epidural.

Then after it finally subsided, i was wheeled to the ward, but in the middle of the 2nd night, the contractions came back again and i had to insist that the nurses give me somemore meds. My gynae didn't order somemore meds, prob she thinks it's over. But moment i stop the meds, a few hrs later, the contractions started coming back. Good thing the meds helped to curb my contractions. And I just needed to stay for 3 days.

When i finally went in to deliver, i asked for the epidural immediately. Hahaha. Coz i remembered how awful it was, wanting it and cannot have it.

If it's of any comfort to you, the 2nd one may not necc be the same. My #2 now quite peaceful. Just took ventolin once thru out this preg and i'm now in my 35 weeks.

morning mummies...

had my first coconut last week, but dunno if its coincidence or what, 2 hours after i took it i had a verty watery discharge.. no smell no colour. Make me wonder again if amniotic fluid is leaking.. haha... but after that no more discharge liao...

I find i am getting very tired these few days, my sense of balance also off... my husband gave me a hug last night and he nearly tipped me off my feet so i got no balance! ahahh...
 
got question to ask about PJs for hospital. I only have one set of PJs with front opening, it was a hand me down. Actually got 2, but i realise the other one, i can wear during non preggie, but now cnanot le... so i packed the other set and 2 large t shirts and 2 3/4s or long track pants into my hosp bag... (thought since going to be exposed for BFing liao, lifting up shirt while behind curtain doesnt make a diff...

and i took 2 hours on sat to pack my hosp bag. 1/2hr for my things, 1.5hours to decide on what to bring for baby to wear! cos i dunno what size she will be leh.. ahahhaha... dr says average size, so dunno if should bring big or small, in the end i bought one romper and one vest/ long pants combo... haha... then the long pants were yellow, then i spent some more time convincing myself, yellow pants can wear pink mittens/ booties... hahahaha..

if u can wear the PJ when you're abt 20-25 weeks preg, then it's possible that u can wear this in the hospital. Coz after we deliver, we'll still look abt 5mths preg.

Don't pack too many things, coz you'll be bringing back a lot more home, including your bb.

hmmm,if u dun have PJs for hosp...

u can, if u dare to wear sarong during ur stay in hosp...
that will be the best with a buttoned top for bf...
(this is told to me by a senior nurse during my #1 time)
 
cloudme: i not too bothered about the bottom, i more bothered about the top... either than its a bit more convenient for nursing, if i dont have, should be ok right, just lift up the shirt?

one thing abt just having a shirt on is that u can't bf lying down. It's actually a good skill to learn when you're in hospital. Get the nurses to teach u how to bf while lying down, so that u can put it to good use next time at night.

Not that i came back from infected countries, but it was my boss &amp; colleague who returned from thailand last fri. I doubt they'll quarantine themselves so i better stay away from them.

I have the same problem with u .. only have 1 set of front button pj. I was still thinking of using my hubby's shirt as my 2nd set of pj

but if u going to wear nursing bra...then i suppose button shirt/blouse will be better?

trackpants...dun think i will wear those when my lochia is here
...cos the flow may stain it
dress type is better for changing/doc examine...

u goin to wear trackpants? hmm with ur wound n bleeding it would make it diff for u to wear n change the pant etc leh...
 
Lawshe : try relax and dun stress yourself , stress might been the main problem of weight . My colleague alway say pregnant mummy must be happy so baby can be happy . for your bb ,maybe work issue you sometime just close one eye .

I start closing one eye lor as I have hang over some work to my colleague and I now like not much thing to do .After national day I will on ML lor (EDD : 23 Aug 2009 )

Wipes : the best wipes is it Angel wipes ? I see u all talking abt it

Coconut : whr to buy those coconut thsoe open top and seal with a transparent paper .It very hard to chop open the coconut leh
 
I heard H1N1 will perk in Dec. My ds will not visit me in hospital. Dh will be back this week but self-quarantine for a week before coming over to my mum's place so I am telling bb to stay in my womb longer.
