i brot Denson to Taiwan in March..

borrowed Smurf_ling's carrier.. great help..

not convenient for stroller if u are tinkin of shopping and going to scenic areas

i jus checked with my condo mgt, we've got no function room to book. sad.. dunno where to hold my boy's bday party.. i also dun think i'll book indoor playground cos i wun b inviting many kids.. any suggestions?

If you r going, can check out Centara Grand Hotel at CentralWorld if u happen to shop there? During the riot it was badly damaged. They send an invitation to my hb, so tempted to go.
 
michelle, the passport will last for 5yrs...

i used carrier also when i went to HK... but this time round i'm planning to bring stroller for perth... i think it depends on the country...

HK is def carrier more user-friendly.....

for the eys brown rice powder, I will still feed about 1/2 to 1 bowl.
need to experiment a bit... so far my boy is ok with 4 milk powder scoops + 150ml water then put on stove to boil.
when feeding, will drip some juice or milk over to add some taste.

i find that it is too smooth for 10-11mths bb, so will add some meat/fish/vege for texture.

sharon, should be ok to travel, just get medication on standby from pd before going. Just get bottle water to boil for Ryan.

And use carrier is easily to move about.

smurf_ling's one is ergo.. denson was 9.5kg back then.. he came back with 8.5kg.. didnt eat much n kip sleeping.. we take turns to carry him loh.. no choice..

Michelle, no more attaching to parents, in fact, Kai changed 2 passport already. Once was baby ( 10 yrs), change when we will going to Vancouver coz need to apply for visa and canada sidewant us to change, still get 10 yrs then, the next change was applying for visa for Oz.

No choice if you plan to travel with baby.

How about getting a light weight stroller to bring for hols? Like the one at toys r us. It's better for our back too. And can use that to carry the shopping bags.
 
sharon, feed him while taking off, can change diaper in toilet or on the bassinet. Just walk him around.

Bring a couple of his favourite stuff for him to play. BKK flight very short.

smurf_ling was really nice to volunteer to lend mi that time cos she was using back then.. i tink she is using it now at home ler..

see if u can rent it ornt bah.. i tot the brand u have is good oso? most impt is the cushion/support at back n shoulder...
 
michelle, i'm using baby bjorn also.. mine is withouth the back support 1... and trust me ethan is no where light as well..

for the passoprt i've asked need to change pic or not.. she told me no need wor... onli till its expire...

sharon, to bkk its onli 2hrs... very fast 1.. i dun allow ethan to slp prior to depart.. den tried to make him slp when the plane is taking off.. somehow it worked... but this time rd he is older not sure liaoz..

no la. since she using, most likely wun borrow from her. paiseh oso =x most likely take stroller, cos can use to carry baby's bag n our shopping stuffs. abit troublesome to carry here n there. hope at least got escalator in taiwan rather than staircase. than not so shiong

erm... the hotel that i stayed in taipei is link to main station but is STAIRS!!

we climbed until scare loh.. we r glad we brot the carrier actually.. personally is easier to move ard those night markets w carrier.. u got sling? can use oso ah... but sling cant use for long oso lah...
 
janice, it is not Sg side thar required the change of photo, it is overseas immigration, they will stamp inside for photo change. And if you are lucky, dun get it if not, will need to change. In Sg, no more photo change, need to change whole passport. All in all, Kai wasted like 7 yrs 6 months of the old passport that was used for Van.

For Kai's case, no choice coz we need visa for our stay in Vancover, then Japan and Oz. all visa more than 2 years need to submit photos as well as passport. During health examination, we were told to change the passport.
 
Speaking of photo change, my #1 has like 3 warning to change the passport photo but i keep forgetting to change it until last month, when i was at the Malaysia custom on the way to Malacca, the officer almost refused entry! But end up was ok cos my daughter was giving him puppy-dog eyes... hehe... i think first passport prob have to change after 3 years ba. but i din change until almost 5 years up...

Traveling: i find sling much easier than stroller. i am using sling all the while cos i find the stroller a hassle... esp when u travel to countries like BKK, Malaysia, China, etc. But if you go to Aussie, US or europe, better bring a stroller... cos the malls and places are usually very spacious and far apart.

and to share, personally i think those pouches sling is slightly better cos the weight is supported by the kid and you whereas for those baby bjorn types u have to carry the whole baby weight cos they are sort of dangling right? duno if my theory is right. hehe

u goin BKK huuh.. but my sis who went recently she say actually BKK not fantastic to shop anymore wor the price all went up n now still not v safe also..
 
mashy, no more liao, Kai gets that during 1st passport change, Only during the period of time, they declare no photo change.

brought the carrier to germany last month. ANd realsied that I was the only person wearing my baby! All the angmohs use stroller, and those big big solid type. Not sure how it'd be with a stroller, but the carrier was a lifesaver coz he slept in it a lot. He's such a wriggler, if no stroller, my sis n i sure peng san after 15min. With carrier, we could go out the entire afternoon, and it was fine. Also convenient on the rail and trams. As for the plane, we didnt use the carrier on the plane, too chiong hei. Luckily he was pretty well-behaved, not much crying. If he did, just let him suckle n he went off to lalaland

Yeah my salon used organic colouring...not sure how much it cost cos i always do rebond/perm/cut together.
But my stylist is not cheap all along..hahahaha

Dear Mummies, which formula is the best among enfra (step 3), Gain IQ (step3)etc? My son using Mamil since NB, but he got kinda high digest system recently which cause him poop after milk milk, i cant say everything but is like 90%. I tot of changing formula. which will you recommand?
