I think dosage also depends on the concentration of the medicine. Some mixture is really thick.

sorry i lost touch. did not response. coz sudddenly maidless.
sent a silly maid back home packing (feeding spoiled food to my girl), received a new one that wants to go home within half a day. scouted bukit timah, katong, hougang green, pool of transfer maids these few days very lil.. in a fix now.

Why diff PD got diff standard?
I went SBCC (seeing Dr Chan) she prescribe the pink color paracetemol giving 2.5ml, oli fever hit 39 then take the orange's one tat one meant for high fever normal fever take the pink one.
My gal is 9.6kg at tat time.

For children under 3 months, on a doctor's advice only, the dosage is 10mg paracetamol per kilogram body weight (5mg/kg if jaundiced).
For a child 3 months to 1 year of age a dose of between 60mg and 120mg (i.e. 2.5mL to 5mL of paracetamol liquid (oral suspension) at a strength of 120mg/5mL) may be repeated every 4-6 hours to a maximum of 4 doses in 24 hours.
I give my girl 2ml though I know I can give up to 2.5ml.

babyja, u better double cos check 5ml abit too much right? so far the max is 2.5ml..5ml is double the dosage woh.

i need to go home chk for mine. but jz now pris said the one she got from SBCC is 250mg/5ml so i guess the one u have is more diluted tat's why take 5ml.

Michelle, ya for teething fever wat jovia usually have is ard 37.4-37.6 so i suspect she's teething but she alr got 8 tooths so probably the moral is coming out.

If ur boy fever subsided after medication shd b fine..if not better bring him to dr could be due to viral fever.

I've 2 different instructions on my nurofen which i got yesterday after seeing EK Ong. Dr ong's is >38.5 every 6hrly. Dr Koh & Dr Vella is >39 every 8hrly.
Talk abt dosage, overhead a telephone conversation of the nurse with the parent. Total idiotic parent. The parent has a 4mth old baby and she fed him his elder brother's medication and then called and ask if it's ok. Stupid right? The bb has never taken the meds before, and she also won't know how much to give. She thinks she's doctor. The nurse advised her to see the PD but she was still so insistent about the meds and even asked if it's alright to give. Aiyoh, it's like asking for permission after you've done it and then if anything wrong happens, they wanna sue the clinic? Stupid parents leh.
Then another smart aleck grandma who was given a medication for the baby, asked how come not another meds. As if she's the dr lor. The other meds is meant for >1yr old kid. THe baby she was carrying looks very young. Think less than 6 months old.

oh, lower concentration, then it's ok lah. But remember to always check the concentration when u take it in case they give the wrong one.

Mashy, my 2nd cycle after i stopped BF was vy heavy too...soak thru the pad (night use) hv to chg every 2-3hrs too....but urs every hr even more frequent.

ya, lychee martini is nice. U can order 2 tiers like mine. Then each layer can be different flavours, one for adults, one for children lor. That time we ordered soft chocolate for my boy's birthday. It's very nice.
