hbb
sureee laaarr... hope u recover soon! i think it's becos u haven't got enuf rest.. it's not easy to be full-time mommy (i think most of us will agree).. remember to eat well too.. take care!

hbb, u MUST take multivit! I was like that too. But since I take the multivit, I'm better. especially we have a few people in the house and 'taking turn' to fall sick. so stressed. I have just recovered from very bad cough that trigger my asthma. Nigel got it from somewhere, then infected Naomi and me is the last one. my hb was lucky because he's always not around. THis week finally all of us are clear and I'm so happy that my morning sickness is almost gone. good thing about having a boy is only the first trimester I'd have the morning sickness.

I agree that all happy days are mother days to me. Especially when no morning sickness and going for any sale. LOL....I didn't even ask my hb about that BIG day at all because I know he always try his best to make all my days feels like mother days.
Well, so my single-mother's day was spent by going to church with my kids AND I tried to DRIVE! ooohh so nervous.after more than 10yrs no driving in singapore. but managed to. feel good of myself. hehehe....

Chiyojade...
come and I sprinkle more to you. yeah, you can try the fertility kit. they sell it in BP too sometime. it's very accurate so you don't need to stress yourself. somemore you're going for holiday soon, so it's the good timing. go and buy, hurry!

Linsu, fried beehoon?? how about mangga besar-style fried kwetiao? heheh..
yeah, that shop is on sale for very long, they're trying to clear the stock.

Hello mummies!!!!
I've MIA for quite some time, nowadays no time to surf net. Everyday go work, off work, eat, bathe, and it's time to go to bed with shanna, totally no time to myself! =( Been giving pacifier free training to shanna, i think she's ok without it now, surprisingly, night sleeps are a breeze compared to the noon naps...

By the way, i m desperately trying to "grow" shanna's hair! any tips nt?! LOLz!

Winnie,
Don't the old folks always suggest cognac? It's like the miracle potion, rub it on for more hair, rub it on for teething :D Oh I believe it works great for mommies too, down it if the kiddos are giving you a headache, haha... Sorry no constructive idea fm me, my kids hv very thin hair
happy.gif

brush e hair(e scalp) more often.... tink edna's hair grow fast cos her papa brush for her aft bath... i v lazy..i let e fan blow dry for her

Hi Mummies,

Have been MIA for long time.
Does anyone know where to get nice soft leather shoes for girl ?
Like Shoo Shoo brand or Pediped.
Thanks

Comb hair? Huh, I never did unless I need to cut his hair. Maybe that's why his hair thin and less, like girl's
sad.gif
Tot brushing could cause more hair drop?

btw, I got trashing from my mum for cutting his hair on the bed. Mummy ban dang lah.... So for those who want to cut baby hair by yourself, take note of this.

etirto
wahhh.. too advanced style I can't do laaa..

winnie_mummy
can try hair lotion? I use switzal hair lotion on stacia after every bath.. if not wrong, I've ever read in the bottle that it can promote hair growth.. it smells nice & hair more manageable too! Doesn't work for JE's mohawk thou.. kekeke.. problem is, i bot it fr Indo.. u could find other brand or I'll help u to get when I go back in Jul..

peanut
curious to find out what's the pantang thing abt cutting hair on bed too.
i've heard some pantang stuff abt not cutting nails at night (not sure what) but i do that all the time cos that's the only time i have.

Haha, tje u really very funny leh, see hantu :0 scary

my mum can't explain. But I reckon could it be it looks somewhat the same as dead ppl had their hair combed on the death bed. Oh, then maybe my mum scold is because me combing the hair rather than cutting the hair. Duno lar.

Linsu
a fren's mom told me to use olive oil, i used at most thrice & i gave up, cant stand the oiliness lar... kekeke... hopefully shanna's hair sudd. grow by jul, den u dun haf to help me get the lotion! Ha Ha!

TJE
yah, sadly, i think it's reallie the genes. my hubby's nieces also nt much hair de. I know eventually they'll grow, but just cant stand when pple say me,"already told u to shave her botak liao, nw u see, still no hair blah blah blah...." Irritating...

Shave botak still the same. Where is the logic behind? Maybe can ask them nicely why do they think it helps? I only know the good old pantang meaning for shaving during full month, 4th month and anytime during 1st yr of age.

re: MIL
my MIL really is a very nice lady, i remember when we stayed tog in the 1st 2yrs of marriage, she doted on me alot, treating me like a daughter that she didn't hv. i was a real bitch though (really, i'm not the easiest person to live with). i suffered from mild depression when i quitted from my job (many things happened in the office, i snapped and broke down). at home, i gave everyone hell, said many nasty things to my MIL that i'm now too ashamed to repeat here. anyway, then i forced my hubby to move out and we now stay on our own, near my parents.

i'm blessed that my MIL is the forgiving sort. since bb comes along, she comes over to our place and helps with household chores every weekend.

i remember when i was pregnant, i hoped for a daughter. one of the reasons was becos i didn't want to become another lady's MIL ... anyway, my wish didn't come true since i've a son.

was a silly mummy tis morning, brain really not functioning well *shake head*

thinking tt bon should now be more sophisticated in his taste for food (when i did the same thing for the 1st time 2 months ago, he ate the newspapers!), i put newspapers under the bumbo seat during breakfast. he's ready for finger food, so i cut him some apple wedges. then what happened ... he ate the multigrain cereals, tore the newsapers and ate it, took the apple, couldn't hold very well, lost his patience, refused the apple and started fussing throughout the meal. gosh, so silly mummy tried to stop his fussing, stop him from eating newspapers, get him to finish the cereal (only consolation: he finished), & had to coax him to eat some apple. end up, a stressed up mummy + fussy baby. sigh, everyday is a learning experience.

then nap, grandpa and gu po were excited over bon (as usual). i told them, leave him alone, he'll whimper/cry/shout for a while (probably less than 10 min), then he'll fall asleep. for god's sake, i know my own son, he CAN soothe himself to sleep. of course, no one listens to mummy. i gave up really, one against two mouths, talk until sian. good thing bon is not cranky even though he didn't take his usual naps. now i just hope that he'll sleep earlier tonite (great, now grandma is here).

& i just argued w hubby, today really SUCKS =(

leather shoes.
Hmmm...I'm so tempted to buy the pediped shoes. they will walk VERY SOON! order 18M-24M or 12M-18M. there is nice one in silver and patent red. wow. so bling. the BP selling the same price as retail price in mothercare or metro. so i'm buying from overseas, as usual..kekeke

TJE, if cut eyebrow till botak then can see hantu!

ETirto,
same here, I have looking at toddler shoes so many times, I'm almost ready to just buy them. The trouble is that J is steadily outgrowing the fox/oldnavy/gap cloth shoes, and her robeez shoes, they didn't feel cheap for wearing only a few months. I got one pair coming from piperlime, don't even know how long that will last.

Winnie,
now I kinda lazy to do much about J's hair cos she doesn't even sit still for me to change her, much less let me meddle with her hair. But before, I used to massage her scalp (and still do) when I bath her. I did the olive oil routine, but wasn't that oily for me, didn't like drench her hair in it, more like rubbing the ends of the hair. Combed a lot, like counting to ten a few times when I comb her hair. I guess she got my genes for thin hair, I didn't have much hair by the time I was 1 either.

I had to vent about someone in the forum, the previously mentioned stalker. You don't know anything about me, or my family, or my friends, from reading what I write here. So do not cook up your own version of what you think is going on in my life for the purpose of sharing with your colleagues behind your fellow colleague or actually your superior. These are very unpleasant rumors that you are spreading and they will do you no good. I am usually very forgiving, but now I will blacklist you. If I hear anything similar of sort again, I will release your nick. It has been more than 2 times that I hear of you souring relationships based on your lies, so stop.

ETirto,
I sent you an email. Actually maybe if more of us order the pediped shoes tog from BP, maybe we can get a better discount? LOL!

Sam,
Enjoy your trip.

Hair - my mum keeps asking me if I'm going save bb botak. She is CONVINCED that because she did that with my sibling and I, we both have thick hair. I;m like...whatever you wanna believe man, but I am not shaving bb's hair. LOL!

Lina - it is really really nice to read that you have a nice MIL.

DIL and MIL comments - my 1 cent's worth: different family upbringing = different style = different opinions = clashes/problems IF both parties cannot accept that they are different. LOL.

Lina - Cheer up The day is almost over! ;-D

sorry click wrongly
haven't finished my post

sam, nordstrom also have. I used to order clothes from there. no hassle.
I found the "penny" it's pink color with blings. so pretty. and "naomi" in silver. email me la if u want

ETirto,
I just went to piperlime - aiyah...why don't they have BLUE shoes!?! Grrrr....the other colours clash with most of his clothes!

You MUST get the "naomi" for Naomi! :-D

peanut
brush or comb lightly is like massage the scalp area..improve blood circulation then hair supposed to grow (healthily)

sam
the stalker too free huh? the boss shld giv her more work to do instead of spinning her spider web talessssss... dun hesitate to expose her nick to us here anytime!
we dun wan talk to such ppl !!!!

if u gals want to order those pediped shoes, count me in. hv been looking at them but it's no cheaper than those in stalls here.

what's this piperlime about? can share the webby?

sam
that's why until now, she's only wearing socks and no shoes cos they outgrow so fast. will be getting one pair soon.

ETirto,
The shipping for J's shoes from Vpost is $13.76. Dom shipping from piperlime is free, but the packing weight is 3 times the product weight. Shoes is around $48.18 on conversion. I didn't get pediped, but one of those flexible sole ones.

thks chiyojade, phew, am glad the day is finally over and i can breathe normally and go to bed soon, yay!

mummies, can share what tea time snacks u gif to your little ones? i seem to be giving nothing except heinz vanilla custard, fruits, bread/biscuits. TIA

my gal also dont have snack time.
she only gets to eat the happy bellies puff/melts and sometimes baby bites when we go out or when i need to do things in the kitchen while she sits in the highchair n watch.

Lina,
My girl gets Happy Puff & Happy melts at my aunt's. When she's with me, snacks are only given when trying to occupy her during adult's meal times

Sam, so it's not worth it to order from piperlime ya? $48+13=61 liao. more expensive than retail price $59.90 also BP price.

Chiyojade,
pediped website sells some of the design cheaper hor...I saw it also. But I'm not sure whether they accept singapore based credit card. I will email them and ask. otherwise, I will order from the BP...some of the design that I want is OOS already. sigh...

bbethan, I will let u know again from where we're getting the pediped. in the meanwhile you can browse first.

I m using it also, i find it very good as it can open multiple tab in one window, IE can't.

I am slowly going thru the post..

Winnie, all cognac are brandy but not all brandy are cognac. Cognac are only given to brandy produced in Cognac in France.

RE: MIL
my MIL and my mom is same to me, it's all love-hate relationship. I guess I have always been so competitive and somehow there is a uncomfortable feeling with her becos her daughter & I were preg almost same time and we both have boys.. I always pray for wisdom ans strength for not comparing our boys (3mths apart), but somehow we all know when your MIL has a daughter, the DIL is always not the same "stature".

RE: Hair
How come ppl say when you pluck out a grey hair, you'll grow 3 from that same spot and why cant we pluck the hair so it multiple three times? LOLs. (Pls dun try this at home though)

Etirto,
Oh, I have microsoft office home edition ~ got it cos I need Excel & Word. I'll check tonight to see if it contains Outlook. I only use 1 license out of the 3 available. So can pass to you to install if you need.

Mozilla FireFox = yah, it's another internet browser. Not that well know but works just as well as Explorer. All the same, helps you go on the internet

I have milk to SELL. My baby is 1 and I don't drink mum's milk any longer.

1) Nan Pro 2 400g 1 tin
2) SImilac Follow On 400g 1 Tin
3) Mamil Mama 900g 2 tins

Etirto,
Sure. Just let me go home confirm if the Home Edition I bought has Outlook. If got then I ask Jeanette to help pass to you

ETirto, Another thing you may want to do with your new PC is to check for Windows updates, as there may be patches you need for smooth operation of your pc and programs.

I just installed the Office 2007 and initially it like operating on bumpy road, I cant copy or scroll properly, then now after the updates, all is smooth as silk..

Hope all works out for you.

RE: OUTLOOK
This is some info I got from the back of my Office 2007
Office Home & Students -- NO (Outlook)
Office Standard -- YES
Office Small Biz -- Outlook with Biz Manager
Office Professional -- Outlook with Biz Manager
Office Ultimate -- Outlook with Biz Manager

Mine is Standard, comes with Outlook. Hb got a friend who has student card to buy from Challenger, I dunno how much he paid.

For Free Email browser, you can also use other 3rd party (free) software although you may be more familiar with Outlook. There are the one I use-- Incredimail (with lots of emotions). It's very easy to set up the server too!

There are also Seamonkey and Thunderbird, like Firefox, both have something to do with Mozilla.. Firefox is a web browser, and Thunbird is email browser..
