caramelle, ok u PM me your contact, we can meet up at abbott talk
Think quite a few people going right?? I'm going with my hubby. You? BTW, I went to TMC for my detailed scan (even though I'm not choosing to deliver there), and they prepared 2 copies of the screenshots and analysis (weight, length etc), and gave it to me to pass to my doc. My doc then gave me one set to keep. I thought this was standard for everyone... Anyway, if they (the hosp, the doc) continue to brush you off, then I think you should really bring your biz somewhere else. It's not too late now, heard of some mothers changing gynae in the week before they deliver! Did u pay for some package though? At first I also thought of choosing ESH, cos close to my house, but then I decided Sin not very big lah, and I've not heard anything about ESH for maternity, so decided to go with Mt. A for delivery.
Cassey, you didn't get a copy of the screenshots too?
First Mum
You mentioned Zapp, and I think only the Maxi Cosi fits on the Zapp right? Mothercare infant seats are modelled after the Maxi Cosi, so they should fit on the Zapp too, but it may not fit on so smoothly (but it's half the price, and reliable). I also considered a convertible car seat, but ended up buying the Maxi Cosi, cos one of the mummies here (don't remember who) pointed out that the convertible car seat's angle seems pretty upright. Some are reclinable, but still... The Maxi Cosi one seems more comfortable for an infant, and seeing as our baby will be using it from newborn (starting from first ride home from hospital), we decided just to get it. They just delivered it to me yesterday, and I'm very pleased with it
If you don't intend to bring baby out much in car before 6mths, then maybe it's worthwhile getting the convertible car seat that's rear facing for infants, and forward facing for toddlers. Can always put a bit of padding in to make it more comfortable when baby is smaller. Your girl can use it when you're bringing her out without baby. BUT. What happens when you're bringing both your kids out? You'll still need 2 car seats.
