hi all, been very busy with work and being sick =(

my boy is also going through that phase. he's impossible to settle down for the night and cries/screams as if he's been abandoned. been through it with my #1 before but its just as tough this time around.

teething
the gums at his two upper front teeth area are very hard now. have resorted to applying bonjela when my boy gets too uncomfortable at night.

i am soooo looking forward to my little kiddo turning 1yo and being able to communicate better. its just a string of tiring days now. think i'd probably have gone crazy if i didn't have a helper. but she's going home soon too.. haiz..

I did ask him to give me a comparison of why NTUC's plan is btr. There are a few types and it comes with a cheap rider for hospital claim. Btw disclamier: I do not get anything out of this... :p

He's not extremely pushy lah. You just tell him that you are a Dec mother and a friend of mine.

My ger same as your boi lor... Keep playing with the pacifier. Everytime I walk away she will eh eh at me with the pacifier in her hands. She will be waving it in the air! *exasperating!*

Recently she cultivated a habit of flipping over n pushing out her tu tu. Then she will try to reach for the tu tu tat is lying on the bed with her mouth. Pushing herself forward and trying her best. But her hands are not helping...she drags her chest with her head all over the mattress. Then the mattress becomes wet with her drool... -___-"

I think u have to might want to try upping ur ss (pump for @ least 15 mins per session + extra 5mins of pumping aft no milk comes out). Aft that have to wait for ss to stablise before you extend the hours. Extending hours before ss established can cause the ss to drop.

my ss is more or less there (unless i do not drink enough liq) after my 2 1/2 months (incl Confinement). One way is to extend the pump time by 1/2 hr each time. For me, the longer I drag the more milk I get (up to max 7hrs. aft tat the amt just remains teh same. I guess tat is my breast capacity).

Hope u getting better. I agree it's diff when bb fusses.

Can i check how you check their gums? My ger struggles like crazy will i try to look in her mouth. Or she will hit my face or scratch when her fist or fingers! :'(

me too !!! my helper leaving on the 10th .. I bot her air ticket aldy. my new helper comin on the 2nd .. so hopefully, my helper can train her for the 8 days or so. hope she's as good as my current one.

Emily and Calista currently having this running nose/phlegm thing. feel so heartache for them. especially Calista. Luckily she hasn't been fussy la. thank goodness. cos I've been sick too.
 
hav waken up since 3am+ (weather so hot) & by the time i was abt back to sleep at 5am, Daniell cried for milk... @_@ after then poo poo... after clean him up, he still dun wan to sleep & smile at me... (faint)! now he has slept but i'm SO awake... argh!!

btw, nowadays Daniell starts to grab & play with the beansprout pillow & sometimes he likes to use it to rub his face... i'm so worry tat he might accidentally cover his own face & suffocate ler... i discovered this juz now (few times) & luckily i was beside & watching him... alamak, dunno should i giv him the pillow at nite or not... any mummy facing the same problem?

Same here.. Ashlynne does that a few times n i m very scare too. As i cosleep with her.. so i din bother.. cos i woke up a few times to check on her..If u did not co-sleep with daniell, perhaps , change to a light pillow that he can push away. Cos the beansprout is heavier, take the shape of the body/face n tend to suffocate..

same as u.. my ss stablise. on weekend, will become lower as my schedule haywire... go out shopping, overslept etcetc...i also tried out 7-8hrs.. ss are the same...Think that's the capacity already. Recently as Ashlynne increase her milk intake, i also wanna pump till 1 feed per bottle.. hee hee.. so far only increase to 150-160ml per bottle...think i shd not be too greedy..

Mommy Louis - that time when i put him at sideways, he also tried to keep flipping. i didn't care, i just push his head down and hold him with one hand, the other hand pat him, then abt 10 mins later, he zzz.

јës§ - A enjoys covering his face with beanbag pillow after chewing it... we are trying to train him to learn to remove it himself, he knows how to flunk all his 4 pillows/bolsters away at times, even out of his cot... so we still leave him to cover on his face n c if he knows what to do...

I will feel safer for bb to have float on too otherwise bb might just drink too much of the pool water. But now I am not sure which float to put him in. The neck float or the other one where his legs just go in and his arms are out of the float?

I guess have to experiment with both to see which one is better.
 
wow! ya oh... DEC is school holiday hard to book the place for the BB birthday. hrmm... since we all are dec baby, then we just have one day to celebrate all the baby birthday then.

The weather is really killing me! No air movement at all..

Been busy doing my milk production so no time to post..

Zach's so funny..yesterday and this morning he woke up at 6.45am whining wanting to be carried.. once i change his diaper..he start kicking his legs on his cot wanting to be carried again..Hahaha..he is so used to waking up at that hour, change diaper then we will head out to send him to school so weekend he tot he still need to go to school, wake up so early. He will want to be carried walking ard the house till 8am..then i put him in his yao lan then he will sleep. He's daily routine..

I oso sick. Kena bad sorethroat n fever more than 39 degrees... N is oso suffering fr cold n cough all thanks to my niece n nephew (I am still fuming over this). I also attribute my current state all thanks to them coughing into the food!

snowger, not sure if yao lan more airy leh but Zach loves it..it shuld be airy lar cos the cloth is those with holes type. Good thing is that I can move the yao lan in between living room and bedroom..all depend whether I need the air cond or not.
what u mean by they cough to the food?? Sounds yucky!

Yeah, i oso think my breast is abit wrinkled now.. it looks dry! And not to mention all the greenish veins starts appearing..looks funny

mine is super wrinkled aft i empty them... usually the bottom part... Yes... talk about green veins... esentially my breast seem to have "aged" overnite... :p

my nephew was crying n coughing on the dinner table and the plate of fried eggs were right in front of him... So u can imagine... :'(
 
pluf, i am using drypers, its not too small cause it's M size, she outgrow S long time ago...she keeps lifting her legs & the diaper keeps going lower at her back, thus the leak...the pull ups leak when she sleeps on her side...do email me about the liner...thanks!

mommy louis, aiyoh i got all sort of gream & lotion, she's using sebamed in IFC, at home i got mustela for stelatopia & stelatria (these r cream & lotion for irritated skin), baby Gaia soothing cream, QV, baby johnson...sometime gotta use the zaricot cream frm PD when it becomes too red...but she keeps rubbing & sratching so very difficult to heal... dun know if we should go to a PD, later PD oso prescribe steroid cream again...

Insurance plan: I bot the medishield plan for my boy, under NTUC. Think medical insurance is one of the 1st one we hv to get.
also bot the VIVO life insurance plan under NTUC for my boy. the premium is so cheap as compare to if we were to buy it for ourselves now..Choosen the limited payment plan so only need to pay for 10yrs then covered for whole life, still got annunity option at age 65..wah lao, our time where got so good plans ava..

Havent bot education plan yet...got to space out the yearly premiums if not very siong..

just feel the gums with your finger. the area will feel really hard compared to the rest of the gums.

i normally let my boy sleep thru if he doses off during a feed. realised that he'll start fidgeting in his sleep when a burp is coming on, then just need to pick up and pat a few times and he'll be ok. but babies are all different la..just to share in case it works for you.

i placed a bid for chalet already. keke.. super-kiasu! need to wait till sep to know the bid results.

BTW gals,

i am going to slowly cut dowm my ss and stop pumping liao. Really cant cope with 2 boys pumping of milk. My elder one is sick during the weekend and very cranky. End up i have no time to pump milk. And my ss down immed loh..

So now those in my fridge can only tahan Ervin till he is 5 mths.

dun be sad, Kasia still dun knw how to flip too. think she does not have enuff time (BBsitter always tie her to either a mash rocker or FP swing most of the times) or she's plain lazy at times. dats y i try to put her down on mattress on wkends. will try to roll her to her side and help her to flip a few times. but Kasia not used, so will fuss after a while... Grrr...
 
BP on UV protection swim wear for bbs, Snapper Rock from NZ. I wanna get a 1pc long sleeve suit, dunno if MOQ will be met... anyone? The fabric is really nice, so far I think only Ocean Paradise at Paragon/Tanglin sells it.

By the way, Aquaducks swim school has many locations incl science park, and I think its $20 per class. They have a heated pool at Dempsey location, that's where my sis brings her bb. I'm gonna start looking for swim diapers soon.
