phew...actually feel quite relieved with my MIL not at my hse today..actually I rather put viewcam n monitor the maid myself than ask MIL to watch. Since the only duty for her is to use her eyes to watch over maid.

wah so good..can lunch together..somemore raffles place got many nice food at nearby hawker.

Going for 2-3 years. I have PR already so need to fulfill the 2yr requirement. In the meantime my hubby will take the time to study and i will stay home to take care of bb for a while lor. Hey, if you have medical backgd, shd be easy to get PR cos those skills are quite high in demand. :D

Ya! And its only my gal's clothing (those for 6mths & above) and some toys! Oh ya, and two packs of L size diapers (someone gave and she wont need it till later). I haven't pack our stuff too... think will do that after i officially stop work. Now, trying not to think abt it.. esp when i see the 'mountain' of things we have

Actually things like clothing and stuff, price is quite okie there.. probably electronics will be more ex than here. I am bringing over my new Ulike blender hahaha but the rest of the appliance shd be okie because i am taking over my bro's plc which is equipped. Things abit old but aiya, can use can already.

OMG, it's super super super hot today!!!! I just tabao back to office after BF my bb...the weather is super hot... if not for the fact i have to go n BF, i wun even want to step out of the office...

my god, ur MIL bump ur bb's head n still say nvm, poor bb...i'll definately fly into a rage as well if it were me.. actually if it's going to be ur maid alone with ur BB, then yes, i do recommend to install CCTV. Tell ur maid it's not to monitor her but to see the baby in case ur maid feels "unhappy" abt it..my colleague also use the Singtel cctv type which is link to mobilephone...I think there's alot of other types in the mkt as well, some of which u key in a IP address & access it online.
Pro: clearer image. Cons: u can "view on the go" like the singtel one...

But think the singtel one is easy to install only thing has subscrption fees rite..

Actually even putting in IFC, i also worry at times...but luckly thing i will go down lunch time to "spot check" as well as BF.

Emeraldbride: i also want to join u guys at raffles place lunch! but now i'm at tanjong pagar office & i dun think i can make it in time as i still need to BF..

Work and Migrating, PR . yup it will be great to keep in contact, I got friends in perth coz I grew up there but not melbourne.. So emik0,JE all going to be in melbourne?? sorry did not read previous thread. kekeke.. May I suguest we meet up.. Kekekekee dnt get me wrong like desperate or anything. kekekekke! Just thought it be nice to meet up with people with babies same age... coz my friends are either with kids 4 years and above or singles hahahahaah
 
Hi gals,

long time didnt come into the thread liao. Have been back to work for 2 wks already. Really busy to work and cope with 2 kids.

Yesterday bring baby Ervin for his 6 in 1 jab. The weighs 6.8kg and length at 63cm. The PD say he is on heavy side as he is born small (2.8kg at birth). Not starting him on any solid until he is 6 mths old. My boy have mild ecezma. Sometime will see soem red patches in his body and need to apply more moistuzer.

The things is my boy dun drink alot he is only taking 120ml of BM every 3 hrs. Sometimes cant finish also. These 2 days start to increase to 130ml sometime he can finish sometimes he cant.
 
i do admit it is hot outside! I juz went for nice lunch at Boat Quay, restaurant name Dallas. Their set lunch is quite good.. onie $20 per pax.

So tmr we meet outside Killiney at 1pm ya?

i koe it's 1 stop to raffles place...actually i use to walk there for lunch (during pregnancy) but now timing a bit tight to walk to & fro...

Merydith - hmm, ur MIL should get some entertainment herself. if still bored, tell her to work part-time. she has to keep herself busy or else will keep having funny ideas around ur boy, etc.

my MIL cannot work one. She will act pitiful n cry like ppl force her to work. That time my BIL ask her go work. She call my HB n cry say she salted life 60 yrs old have to work.

Last time she worked in the MR bean soya stall. Kena sacked coz everyday sit down..nv serve customers..only like to chit chat with colleagues..until the colleagues suan her main purpose is not to earn $ but to past time.

haiz so much abt my MIL..anyway since its over liao..suan liao..dun want to go ask her get entertainment.
 
ya watched the Dunstan Baby Language dvd before, think she figured out what all the crying really means. Only works for first 2months though

L size diapers?? My baby girl is using L size diapers now:p I may ship over my baby cot, playpen and toys. And maybe our car! haha!! Also, winter is coming, wonder if I should buy her winter clothings here or over there. cos I'm not sure where I can find shops like kiddy palace/mothercare over there?? Our home there should be fully furnished. Yeah, I've not drafted the what-to-pack-list yet...

Wow.. my gal still M size and she is using Fitti, which i still have 2 packs of Msize left so send off the other 2 packs first lor, or else i will have to cart it there myself.

A friend of mine help me get a 2nd hand cot and some baby stuff already. Going to pass my present cot to my friend who is giving birth. Toys i will ship over also since they are all new. As for winter clothing, i got quite abit of hand-me-downs plus stuff my SIL got from states. My problem is dunno how big she will be in June so i think may still need to buy there if the stuff i have is too big. Can go shopping at factory outlets for Pumpkin Patch etc ;)

I think they have similar stores like mothercare there but prices may be ex. I think for infant necessities, may still be cheaper at the supermarkets which already carries a good range of stuff, from cots to infant formula. Anyway, where will you be staying? My place is at the edge of CBD, near victoria market.

I pick up at the gathering okie? Cross fingers that my in laws dun suddenly have something or the other on saturday and "summon" us for it. :p

Today i took Avery for her 5-in-1 second dose at 10am... first time round she didnt cry and no fever. Hoping that this time will be the same but starting at 5pm, she started to become feverish. Sigh, gave her the infant panadol when her fever hit 37.5 ard 7pm and kept wiping her down with lukewarm water. At one pt her fever was 38.2 at ard 9pm. Nearly sent her to doc if temp hit 38.5 but thankfully it started to come down after that.. now just keep monitoring. Think will give one more dose of panadol after 6hrs. Hope the 3rd injection she wont get fever again

my PD din recommend fruits. In fact she mentioned that fruits, meat/fish, porridge all intro aft 6mths. Oni can give cereal & roots (i.e pumpkin + sweet potato,etc).

Today I gave my ger her very first spoon of cereal followed by milk. Mixed the cereal with my warm EBM. Apparently she likes it!

My ger oni gain 1kg from 2nd month to 4th month... so it's ave abt 125g/wk. Which is below average bah... But the PD did comment her development (esp muscles) are on track... So she say still ok plus heng she is a ger (so not so bad la).

What type of cereal did you buy? I bought the Nestle one with milk. The selection is quite mind boggling. How much cereal did you mix with EBM? The cereal is quite viscous so after mixing u still feed your baby from bottle or spoon feed her?

Sorry ask so many questions... a bit blur and forgot to ask PD hehe

we should be staying near city area, not far from your place. Hmm...guess I've to buy some winter clothings here. But I heard it's quite limited here for baby winter clothing. Btw, is your baby on BM or FM? I wonder how OZ mothers breastfeed during winter?? Must be very cold and troublesome hv'g to wear so many layers haha!

Hope your baby's fever has subsided!

The PD made me buy from her clinic which is cheaper. We bought the Stage 1 Rice Cereal (Green colour one, without milk). If u buy with milk one, u mix w warm water.

My PD advise abt one teaspoon to start. Increase by one teaspoon every 2 days. First I scoop 1 level teaspoon of cereal into a small dish, then i pour my EBM bit by bit and mix until I get the correct consistency.

- Feed using the baby spoon. My PD specifically said "NO BOTTLES PLS".
- She also gave me a tip when giving her using spoon, put the cereal with spoon in her mouth, let her swallow everything before removing. Tis will prevent her from pushing out the food.

- Feed before milk. Aft cereal, let her finish the remaining milk
- Can replace one feed with cereal oni when she is able to finish 1/2 ricebowl of cereal.

hippo, fong2, bur n jowin, i cant make it todae liao. Zach's rashes came back and this time quite bad so gotta go see a PD now.. dun tink will be able to make it back to raffles place in time by 1pm.
