yeah, Zach cries uncontrolable each time FM is being fed and all these while he always have patches of red over his face n body. I always dismiss it as rash leh..cos his daddy oso have it. Then he will always use his hand to scratch his ear his eyes, his head etc till it is super red and patchy n swollen. Sigh.. the last time i went n see PD she did gave me med for allergy n she ask me to monitor. This time round, i went to PD to see his runny nose and he pointed out that Zach is allergy to cow's milk n advise me to fully breastfeed him and not to intro solid until he is 6mths and since he got allergy must be more careful..

I haven't posted for a long time...
Been super busy at work and basically trying to juggle work and motherhood... the tough part is actually expressing milk at work.. it can be quite hard to find the time to pump... Super troublesome... must stop whatever u are doing to go pump.. sigh... but i truly want my girl to have breastmilk for at least 6 months..
I just sent my daughter for her 4th month check and injections.. My pd was telling me that I can give my ger a 3rd pneumococcal jab if I want to.. She said US does 3 jabs but UK gives only 2.. So she asks me to decide... Do any of you have any idea?? Like wat ur pd said...
My pd also said I can start giving my girl solids.. She said if bb gut has no problem and is growing alright.. can start.. so i bought some rice cereals and mixed it with ebm ... only 1 teaspoon... She is soo cute when she is eating.. She will swallow some and then the rest she will push it out with her tongue.. so far soo good.. just slowly introducing solids.. like playing to her.. Hehe!!

Expressing at work: I think its really super challenging to express at work..many a times I have to squeeze time to quickly express as recently workload has increase alot.....Gerry, I agree it's very troublesome! but think we all want the best for out bb, so let's jia you!!

you wanna try to drag her last feed to 9+? It might help... Olivia's last feed is also 9+ sometimes she'll wake up 6+ sometimes 8+. Don't think it will become a habit, as long as she goes to bed with a full stomach sld be ok

Kasia is oso having 5 feeds (180-200ml each feed)per day. I realise FM BBs really can tong longer at nite. I have managed to train Kasia to sleep by 9pm and she usually wakes up at 7am. The same applies to my niece who is born in July last year, she is oso on FM.
since starting werk last week, it's been a crazy workwk, so much issues to clear and follow up... Phew! so i really salute mummies who still need to express during office hrs! 3 cheers to all BF/EBM mummies!!!

mebbe you juz tell IFC staff to change Zach's diapers more regularly. Kasia oso has super sensitive skin, so it's pretty easy for me to guess if my BB sitter is changing her diapers every 3-4hrs. esp if Kasia poo, her skin will turn reddish within an hr!
Flipping:
feel so excited for mummies for BB who are learning to flip liao. Kasia still not ready leh, and feel for her as her BB sitter either carry her or put her on the mash rocker, so Kasia rarely has chance to lie on solid ground. thou i have given a play mat to BB sitter, nvr see her use it leh... hmmm... will remind her to use it often. think it will be so exciting to see Kasia flip :>

carmen, kasia is drinking so much. zayden is only drinking 150ml every 4hrs and i have started giving him solids when he turns 4mths (cos PD says we can start to give him solids).

other toy rental company normally charges $50+ for FP jumperoo for a period of one mth, but i saw one quite good which we can rent 1-3 toys a mth but hav to join their membership from $48... i'm thinking to join ler coz too many toys to buy liao but scared waste money coz toys really cannot last long...

u mean sesame oil tat we use for cooking?? then do we hav to do anything after apply oil? or juz leave it there?? my boy also has caddle cap ler & i tried baby oil but doesn't help laa..

FM BB can sleep longer doesn't apply to all ler coz i tried to giv my boy last feed on FM before at 2nd mth but he also wake up very fast so in the end i gav up... now he can sleeps longer liao from 9pm to 7-8am & he's on total latch on... i think it really depend on individual baby & also a matter of times...

i dun think i can wait till 6mths...now every morning I'm clearing alot of hair fm my bed...& alot of hair in the toilet...really depressing..so i've decided to order the hairloss shampoo fm BP to give it a try... really hope it works....i dun expect wonders la like completely no more hair loss, but just hope will reduce the hair loss....read that the hair tonic will also help to promote hair growth...

Just finish BF my boy at IFC. really glad that i choose a near office IFC so I can go down every day during lunch to feed...1 thing i wasnt too happy abt today...Baby K had his last diaper change at 830am! & all the way till lunch time at 1pm still havent change! OMG, when i BF halfway, i felt his diaper quite heavy..after I finish BF & check..omg! his diaper is soak in poo! but it's wet poo, so means he just pass motion only...still i wasnt too happy that such a long interval & they didnt change his diaper often enuff...i stood there while they change his diaper to see if they got apply the desitin cream correctly at his butt.. good thing they did.

Jess, I bot mine thur BP , u run a check to see if Ima still selling in BP now?? if now the next place i saw it before is at suntect level 3, one of the kids shops..but dunno how much they sell la..fm BP think the price is $17+...

I now indicate it in bold on the board that my boy needs diaper change every 2 hrs regardless of the wetness of the diaper to ensure that he will be change often plus I insist that they've to use the wet wipes to clean his bottom during each diaper change. I was quite shock that they just change without using the wet wipes when my boy peed and the diaper was not too wet. For IFC, it is better to state your requirements in black and white to avoid any miscommunication.

I m so tired.. Zach woke up every 2 hrs since 11pm yesterday! He is having difficulty sleeping cos his mucus will backflow n cause him to cough n hv difficulty breathing.
At least now he is napping beside me but me not resting..need to help my mom to pick birds nest..never ever buy unnprocessed one..such tedious job man.

Positioner: I'm using that too. David still doesn't sleep well in his court. Need partial swaddling + positioner at night. (I blame my MIL entirely for that!) He doesn't like the positioner I bought. He prefers the one which I improvised with a cloth napkin drapped over two baby bolsters.

spag, i din clear his nose..the suction thingy dun work one leh..
now no choice but to depend on PD's medicine to take effect. I oso dunno wat to do liao..it's been a week leh. coupled that he got such bad rashes because of allergy reaction. I m so silly din notice it last time

ya I think I will definately do that tom, to indicate clearly they MUST change his diaper at max 3hrs...cant believe it..how can they not change his diaper fm 830am till 1pm...haiz..

I hv a sleep positioner too, but seems like no use for my boy...he moves too much in his sleep! when he moves n moves, after awhile, his head will hit the cot end n then no more space for him to move, he will cry... so i hv to wake up to shift him back....then he moves again..n the whole cycle starts again..haiz.. i can wake up 3-4 times a nite just to shift him..not feed him...

I thought my baby is the only one that moves around the four corners in her sleep!!! Somemore, her cot is a junior convertible and she has been doing that since mth 1. But I didn't shift her when she hit her head or when she can't turn back to her usual lying back position (cos she rolls over from back to stomach)...let her explore herself
