today 1st day of work. Reach office at 8.40am n pull to meeting until 11.30am. Faint.. Pump milk at 12pm just ate lunch.. the queue at RP is never ending during lunch hours.. I MISS MY BABY...

Today she was very wierd in the morning.. as i change to work.. she also wake up ( usually she can sleep till 10am) .. but not for milk but staring n pout at me... i thought she pee & changed diaper for her.. she still stare at me n pout... My HB said she sensed that i m going to work... When i about to leave home... she cried.. AIYO.. i so heartpain.....

Yes, milk blister is a white white spot or " bubble" on the nipple.. which block an opening of a milk duct.. I pricked it n milk came flowing out.. But dun know why it happen as i clean my nipple very throughly already...always wash it after pump..

Yesterday i latched my baby... after latch, i saw the milk blister n immediately pricked it n let her latched again..
 


Just brought my gal for her 2nd dose of 6-in-1 & rotavirus today at the GP near my place. My gal is 6.6kg now at 3mths 2 week old. Length wise is abt 60/61cm. Dr said my gal stomach bloated. Must let her poo everyday. If 3 days never poo must let her take sipository (dunno how to spell, think this is wat he said). I tot it's normal for bb not to poo for a few days. Strange. He even suggest i change formula milk. But she's not totally on formula leh.. The most abt 2 feeds of formula, the rest of feed is breastmilk.

I'm so sad and worried as my poor Bryan is still not fully well *sigh*....

We just took him to the PD near our place and after conducting a very thorough check, he suspected that Bryan might have digestion related issues that causes his tremendous decrease in his milk intake. As of now, he only consumed 130ml of milk since 7.45am this morning.

UTI
urine culture came back negative. Meaning there are no bacteria found. That is a relieve for us but even the new PD at our place is worried about the high white blood cells in his urine test.

So, we're still praying and crossing our fingers that Bryan will be well soon. Hate to see him scream the moment he sees the milk bottle.

nt sure hw ur gal will react when u c her later. for e first 2 days after work, my boy duno wanna look at me when i talk to him lor, so sad I almost cried. heng nw ok liao, when i c him after work, he will get v excited upon seeing me or hearing my voice, n start chuckling & waving his hands excitedly.. totally makes my day!

am confused, that means Bryan didnt get UTI izzit? I recalled bryan's decrease in milk intake started sometime bk, was it like tt till now? Or it got better already then start again?

same as me! for the 1st day, my boy refuse to look at me & his daddy. Really makes my heart sink..nowdays still alright..
so looking forward to see my boy later..another 2 hrs!!

I just called the supplier of Healthy Times (http://www.healthytimes.sg/index.php) and enquired about purchasing HT cereals in bulk.

Order that is over $150 but below $250 is 10% disc and anything over $250 is 15% disc. Per box of cereal is $6.90 which is oso the price sold at NTUC. To get the 15% disc we need at least 37 boxes. After disc it will work out to be $5.90 per box.

Tamms, include.. but baby jars are actually pureed food rite?? Better to prepare ourself than letting bb eat fr jars cos no matter wat will still hv some preservatives added.

Fabbie - Erm.. how to massage ah? I read the book "My Little Baby" the steps some of it i'm not sure if i interpret correctly. Ya, even the dr said she's on the heavy side lor. Hmmph! But i think her birth weight already 3.17kg. Now she weighs 6.6kg shld be alright bah. Now she having fever.. had been fussing and cranky the whole afternoon.. Sigh..

LuthAdel - I wonder if Bryan can't take formula milk? My niece used to throw up all her formula milk when she was a bb. And when she took Soya based milk (Dou Fen) she ok le..

hi ladies
hav been w/o internet for d past few daes. lil jayzon has been admitted on sundae for pneunomia n juz discharged todae. haiz. headache. worst was when i brought bb kayson to pd ydae for his cough, dr say he got bronchiolitis. faints. now i got 2 sick kids at home. bugs flying every where. even in jayzon's ward, quite a no of cases r pneunomia n bronchiolitis. pd say now many cases so do b careful n avoid gg crowded places k.

now tinking of jayzon's condition makes mi boil. y d stupid a&e dr din realise tt his lungs were not clear when he auscultate n ask to take x-ray. if detected laz thur, i wun hav to ward jayzon when i bring him back on sundae due to persistent high fever n it also wun result in his right lung to partially collapse. fuming mad.

gg to bring my bois go pai pai once they recover. feel veri suay. argh.

my boy used to cry for help last time when his neck was not so strong. Now he doesnt really cry for help in the middle of the night coz some how he can revert back to normal after he's in deep sleep.

Weight
now im getting abit concerned abt weight and obesity. Ryan was abt 7.5kg at 3mths & 10 days. is this too heavy?? my mum told me her churchfren said her daughter, now 40 plus and unmarried and obese, is like dat because last time she fed her alot of milk bcoz fat babies look v cute.. thereafter she cldnt cut down on baby's intake coz baby just keep drinking more and eating more. this led to her obesity later on in life. She says now she looks at her unmarried daughter, she blames herself and feels v sad.
i hear already also v sad. =(

doctors say there is no link between chubby babies below 1yr to adult obesity, babies normally lose their puppy fat once they start crawling and walking. As long as you are not overfeeding as baby gets older and are avoiding feeding sweet foods baby should do fine. Also avoid using food as a reward when baby is older.

My Olivia is very chubby too, she was 6.9kg at 3months, now should be 7.4kg at 3m25d. Her birth weight was 2.84 so that's a lot of weight gained too! But she's on total BF and I feed her 5, maximum 6times a day... I'm kinda worried like you but I guess it should be ok, I'm not forcing her to drink after all

u are right.. my baby ignore me.. I cried abit just now cos i so heartpain.. 16weeks i m all with her.. just 1 day to work , when i back, she totally dun wan eye contact with me.. dun talk to me..Yet she can talk to her daddy and smile at him...

i m real jealous n heartpain lor...

think of it this way .. it's not that she's ignoring you cos she doesn't love you. SHE probably felt YOU abandoned her and is feeling hurt so she avoids eye contact with you at the moment lor. but you're her mama .. she loves u .. she's just confused right now. cuddle her and kiss her and reassure her as much as u can even though she is "ignoring" you as u say ..

yeah. I did as much things that i had miss out during the days such as talking, singing to her. Changed her diaper..gave her a wipe before she sleep, feed her milk. I hope to bring back the bond that i miss out in the day.

I can't do much.. i only have 2 hrs as i reached home at 8pm and she sleep at 10pm.

I dun even feel like going to work today but to accompany her.

N she din poo the whole day..

anyone can tell me the tube for pumping on PISA how to maintain clean? mine already got black spots inside and im just got a new one. how u gals maintain and clean everyday ah?

I only sterilised the tubes in the beginning. After that, I never sterilise anymore. The black spots is probably mould, because there is moisture inside. What I do is to let the pump continue to run after I have disconnected the tubes from the shield. So that the inside of the tube will have some air going in and will dry up any moisture. No need to run for too long, just a few minutes after each pump will do. You'll only need to sterilise it if there is milk backflow in the tubes. Maybe now you try to wash in soapy water and sterilise?

emeraldbride - actually i'm aiming for him to stretch 150ml for 3hrs. when he reaches 4 mths, then 180ml for 4hrs. i have been letting him cry all he wants if it's not his feeding time. sigh. water n pacifier don't work on hungry baby like this one.

Mommy Louis - hmm, i think he needs some time to stablise his feed 1st. eg, increase to 5 oz, then u stretch his feed. different babies different pattern. at least urs can flip, mine is really a block of wood which only stretch his arms n swing swing a bit.

LuthAdel - hope bryan will be well.

use the microwave bag to sterlise...there's instruction on the bag... when i buy frm TMC, the LC there told me not to sterlise the tubing.. i always let the pump run for 2mins after i finish pumpin, cause always got moisture droplets in the tubing after i pump... i have nvr sterlise the tubing b4, oni rinse with water...

mommies, can i ask if anyone experience a cloudy residue in the milk bts? i always leave my bts in the sterliser, oni bring them out when i am about to use them, recently i realise that my pump bts are having a cloudy residue inside... i use my finger to scratch then they would come out... is it still ok to use the bts?

i also thinking of getting a stroller cos i have not get 1 yet.. Dun Know which to buy but i want it light weight. If not my mum cannot handle my ger n stroller when she push her out to buy grocery.
