I use the cooler bag + ice brick that came with my medela PISA. you can also use things like fridge to go, which is more effective if you don't have a fridge at work.

For me, I same as echo. Aft pump, i put the milk in my office pantry fridge. Then use the cooler bag to bring home. The bag allows the milk to stay cool for 3 to 4hrs for 4 bottles. I saw the Pigeon fridge to go selling at $49 or $59 (can store more bottles.)

the bottle u buy is cheap leh. I oso wan. But bur & tara chop liao. :p Me sterilise n juggle the bottles every night until not enuf sleep! *sianz*

ya lor. Worse is she cry when u pumping milk. Cos i home alone, so v v v fustrating. now got MIL so not so bad la.

juz bk from taka fair, spent $100+ but they din give me lucky draw ticket leh.. quite crowded ah, gotta squeeze ard with so many barang barang. ha, so many preggie ladies ard, so scared will knock into them! oh, nice to meet mayelynn there =)
 
Snowger, i oso very worried my ger cries whn i am pump, i always alone, mom & MIL workin...hubby always OT...lucky me ger take pacificer, so she cries, i stuff it in her mouth...hahaha...i oso not enough sleep, everynite sleep oni 5-6hrs & its 1-2/2-3hrs interval...really panda eyes...

got problem leh iemiko.. they say it is fake one and not wat the seller describe as From USA wor..they said the packaging states Made in China..haha

I oso dunno how much the Medela bottle cost leh cos I bought few other items but nvr mind lar, since alr say is $3.30 per bottle, $3.30 lor.. else i keep inside storeroom oso not point.

Oh, i alr enrol Zach to join the preliminary swimming competition for Hwa Xia..gotta pay $18 bucks..siao..haha

My daughter got slight flu b4 the swimming competition. Wonder if that can be transfer, just like the swimming sessions. I check with them, then maybe ur boy can use it for next swimming competition. Hwa Xia held it quite often. Think 2 months once.

I bought the swimming tub. Now my bb swim about once a week during weekend. She loves it! She will protest when we bring her out of the tub. Haha...

I think all bb are cranky at times. Haha... My daughter is those who sleep alot during 1st 2 months. When she wake up, she play on her own. Sound good bb right. But she is getting more cranky (if u want to put it this way) as she need less sleep now and spend more time playing. She want variety of toys and she very hao4 lian4 type. Will sit in the jumperoo and jump high high if we are looking at her. Then we praise her by clapping, she jump even further.

I bought a couple of stuff from SMH BP and WTB section: 1)Jumperoo (I get at $100, 2nd hand. KP sell at $239)- My daughter cant do without. 2)Bumbo(get it at $20, 2nd hand)- cheap buy but my daughter dun like it now. Luckily bought 2nd hand so for those who thinking of getting bumbo, try to let ur bb try on at store 1st. 3)Taggie and cube from BP -good for bb to pull and bite when they are teething 4)Bumpermat from BP - my bb love the colourful design. 5)Cloth piano - maybe my bb too young for it. She dun like. 6)Carter's bibs 4 for $10 - Very nice bibs. My bb look super adorable in it.

So how about u ladies? Ur sprees and WTB stuff, which 1 is good n which 1 is over-rated? Then we can look out b4 we make our purchase.

I actually got some ladies products but some disappoint me so now I spree more on stuff for bb.
 
ypg, i oso wanted to buy the tub but todae when Zach went swimming he like cannot move freely..the tub is too small for him liao. He's ard 70cm which is very tall for a 3mth baby lor.. hence decided not to buy and will upgrade him to swimming pool when he hit 4 1/2 mth..hehe
 
yeah lor Tara..he very tall one lor. I dunno y the BM i feed him cannot let him grow sideway but he keep getting taller onie.. all his pyjamas must buy for 6mths..

By the way, how do mummies sterilise ur breast pump at work if you need to pump more than once? Or just sterilise once enuf? i have the habit of sterilising after every use lei..

hello mummies...time really flies hor...Some of us are back to work and some are going back. I keep reminding my son mummy will be MIA for a few hours and must be "friendly" to grandma. Grandma has only tried a few hours a few times, so far so good. Very worried that if I go back to work, he no see me, will cry or sometimes I worry my MIl will brainwash my son to love Father more than mother !!! sigh...getting so paranoid.

at nite before bed time my boy will keep on waking up &amp; crying loud before really going into deep sleep, sometimes this will drag till 1-2hrs ler... so mummies does ur baby behave like this as well?

recently my boy very cranky all the days, always cry &amp; wanted to be carried &amp; worst hav to carry him in 'standing' position else he will make noise... me very tired! now still got my mum to help, really can;t imagie how am i going to handle him after going back to S'pore coz i'll be facing him alone again... sianz!

also, my boy recently always wanna to be fed every 2hrs, or sometimes even shorter than tat, i tot his feeding pattern should be stabilized already mah since he is already 3mths old... i feel really tired, &amp; sometimes even feel sick to look after him... sianz! how i wish can go back to work....

back from orchard and from TMC!
I see baby fair the Q super long and i carry my gal till i totally no mood to shop at all. faints.. so i decided to walk abit at there then i sat at the fountain to feed my gal when my mum shop for some pigeon clothes.

Okai. My gal is not having a flu or a cough. She kana a bacteria which call Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA). To prevent this gonna wash hand before touching her. and thats why she got this running nose. doc told me is not air bond de. Its only helper, care taker or the person who take care of her will Kana her bacteria. WHICH IS ME! faints.. but i have recover liao lar. and so. Im happy that she dun have to drink flu or cough or even drip med in her nose liao. She just got to apply cream thats all. Doc say she's recovering fast. as her appetite and everything is good. meanwhile the antibiotics she's drinking needs 2more days then can stop drinking. Doc told me that if she got pi ti running down cannot anyhow touch de lor. If not will pass. But till from last time till now haven since any "pi ti" yet. its only once when i feed as med yday. Lol

So im still ONZ for this sat gathering but i just wanted to ask you mummies are you all okai with it anot? Dou doc told me is not airbond de. I ask just to ensure you all okai anot. if not.. i dun go liao. =)
 
jes, is it cos he din feed till he was full at each latching session? How abt u try to pump out once and feed him and see if he really wants to drink again after 2hrs? I notice some babies like to latch every hour or 2hrs and dun wanna suck till they are full - more like they are more 'hong sim' alr wanna play..

i face some of ur problems but not so bad as to make me pek chek. this is wat i do:

-wake up and cry out loud
i usually dont carry him. i will sing or talk to him/switch off lights/rub his head in circular motion/let him sleep on his side and pat his backside/i give pacifier

-cranky
sometimes need to burp thats why prefer standing position. he might be colicky?
i realised put baby in bumbo can make my baby burp and burp. can try that. or rocker? there was once i put him in a rocker and face scenery.. or watch tv.. he will keep quiet le. or carry him to a mirror...

dont give up! after awhile im sure u can find the reason for his cries!

i already feed him both breast each time le... ok bah, will try to feed him EBM instead when i go back Spore...

another thing is dunno why daniell suddenly has the habbit of suckling his tumb ler, very jialat... sometimes when i latch him on, he also try to put his finger into his mouth... walau... dunno wat happen to him... then nowadays after every feed, he will immediately put his tumb into his mouth ler, like wan to suckle on something all the times... how to stop him coz there was one time he even scratch his upper gum until bleeding ler...

Now i m not confirm can go to gathering liao.. sorry.. HB came back from work n told me he need to OT on Sat.. He also dun know he work until wat time...Paiseh.. cos i dun wan to handle my ger in cab alone especially from Bedok to Redhill.. scarli cry all the way..She cry in own car still ok.. Cry in taxi.. i faint..

Will definitely go once HB ok.

in fact when my boy wake up &amp; cry (at nite before bed time) i will normally dun go to him immediately, neither will i carry him as well eventhough i go to him, i tried all the method tat u mentioned, and yes he will go back to sleep but juz wonder why it is so difficult for him to go into deep sleep...

colicky? dunno ler... but he juz prefer standing position all the times... ya i got rocker &amp; swing at home but juz can't make him sit there quietly lor... let him watching tv?? but tat can only catch his attention for few mins only... as for carry him to mirror? i did tat also but not all the times work... sian sian sian

i happen to have my gal like tat leh.. she keep crying n crying. then i put in standing postition she stops. and i got to sing song to her. and play with her.. then till she forget abit. then i put her down.. or till she abit frustated liao. she cry. meaning i know she wants to sleep liao.. NOw babies at around this age wants attention liao! and YES i play with my ger for 2 hrs then she manage to sleep!!! faints.

Now usually after milk i will play with her abit.. then i will put her in the cot. she will shake shake abit then sleep liao no need to play le.. Must at least play with them. hehe But at night. drink milk finish i put her down she sleep liao. =P
 
jes, count urself lucky daniell start sucking his thumb recently. Zach started like few weeks ago..so smelly his hand. Worse when he start to suck at nite and wet his mitten and he use that mitten to wipe his face.. imagine how gross that is. I no eye see. Haha.. i did ask PD is it cos he is teething but she said baby at this age is normal to eat their hands, tongue thrusting..

ya i know they wan attention but sometimes i talk or play to daniell he also dun wan... keep on crying until i carry him in standing position, and worst coz now i hav to walk... mean if i'm sitting or juz standing he also not ok until i starting moving around.... and yes sometimes i know he is very tired &amp; sleepy liao, but if i carry him in craddle position he also dun wan, he rather to sleep on my shoulder...

oh Zach also?? in fact i discovered daniell starts putting fingers in mouth after our last gathering at ur hse... but recently becomes a habbit liao, suck &amp; suck non stop until all his face got sliva, but worst thing is daniell has very sensitive skin (coz he got mild eczema) so those rashes come back again... see liao very heartpain!

ya i put him on mitten as well, same lor, always wet his mitten, if i dun wear him with mitten, he will scratch himself... he got a lot of scratches mark on his nose &amp; forehead ler...
 
Sucking fingers
I think my gal started that since birth bah. As I look thru the photos that we took fr the time she was born, a few of those shows she's already putting her fist to her mouth le. Until now still sucking leh. I also dunno wat to do. Now she's still wearing mittons wor. And every after feed gotta clean her face, wash her tongue. Gotta change her mittons once wet. Else her face will hv rashes again. Haiz.. At first i tot maybe teething, bought her those for her to suck, but she still prefers her fingers.

јës§, same same. my boy also like that. wear mitten, still attempt to suck his thumb. then mitten wet liao he go run his face then face got rashes. if i remove the mittens, he will scratch and pinch his own face until red red. he coming to 4mths liao i still let him wear mittens when he sleep, no choice, if not, morning when wake up he face sure red with scratches.

my gal nowadays need ALOT of attention and wan to play ALOT.. i have to spend alot of time to talk to her, sing n she dun nap alot in the afternoon already.

She also like to stand n dun wan to be cradle already.. she will struggle n struggle until i put her back in stand position... lie on my shoulder. Then i put her down on bed, pat pat her to sleep..

my ger also suck fingers, palm..

My mum bought a small bottle fr medical hall meant for cleaning bb's tongue. Just dap a small amt on the face towel &amp; rub her tongue.

So far we only tried a few times but didn't manage to clean the inner side of her tongue cos she keep resisting. I'm thinking if i shld get those tongue cleaning brush fr mothercare.

Oh, my gal also likes us to carry her in sitting up position or standing position. Seems like she doesn't like to look at the ceiling now, she's more interested to hv a full view of the surroundings. But also hv to carry her and walk around lah. If not, she'll give u signal to move.. lol..
 
hey m boy also suck fingers thumb and sometimes whole fist can go in also.. looks very delicious to him.. if i disallow him from sucking he will be very angry and scream.
and yes my boy also rub is face eyes with his dirty hands or mittens (at night). until the eyes turn red and watery. once, there was a red patch on his eyeball. why do babies rub so hard? is it itchy or wat or tired? why do they do that?
and between his fingers there are like white fabric stuck there.. anyone has this problem too?

went today, lotsa good deals and even though its only Thursday, its already very crowded. Bought a car seat for Olivia Safe n Sound (britax) on promo $189 usual 299. Can be used till 4yrs. Quite happy with that. The 5min that I was watching the demo, 2 other parents also bought the car seat.

MRSA may not be air borne but still highly contagious, it is spread via contact. It is very difficult to treat because the strain of bacteria is resistant to most antibiotics. You can minimise risk of spreading by washing your hands scrupulously with chlorhexidine. It's all over the news since last week, think its best not to go to the gathering. Give baby more time to make sure that she is completely well.

In fact, any parent of baby who is feeling even slightly under the weather should not go to the gathering at all. No offence to anyone, but it would be terrible if our babies caught any bugs during the gathering.

Just now i keep thinking n thinking till the more sianz about the MRSA that she tio. till totally no mood to go for gathering also... haiz. will pray that 1week later she will be recover. btw. u said last week is all over the news? where huh? i wan to see..

i called his school n asked them how come hayden got fever but they din know.... i picked him up at 7.10pm (late) then go home latch him he vomit everything.. then bring him to PD then found out he got fever.........................
